PRESIDENT’S LETTER
DEAR FJA® EAGLE® MEMBERS,
As FJA President-Elect throughout the past year, it has been an honor to work alongside our EAGLE members, new and old, as we fought together to defend Florida’s civil justice system against those actively seeking to destroy it. It is because of your continued support that we have the tools and resources necessary to fight back against those who threaten our civil justice system.
While last year legislative leaders focused on an omnibus tort measure limiting the rights of individuals and their ability to hold responsible parties accountable, this year we saw legislation attacking the rights, and safety, of Floridians in every aspect of their lives.
Our small but mighty army of justice warriors took on the task of defending against these bills, and their army of proponents lined up to block access to justice for every Floridian. We were strengthened by the ranks of FJA EAGLE members and clients who made the trip to Tallahassee and took to the halls of the Capitol to advocate for justice. Thank you for stepping up to help our efforts in Tallahassee this year.
I have learned over the years that the DNA of this organization is such that it thrives in the face of adversity. I am happy to report that thanks to YOU, the ranks of our EAGLE program are the strongest we’ve seen in decades. While our enemies fight for money, we are fighting for what is right and just: the Constitution, justice, accountability, victims, and safety. Plain and simple, our cause is righteous, theirs is an industry. The other side -- the chamber, big insurance -- are truly special interest.
This year, as your President, I am committed to strengthening our EAGLE program and continuing to fight for you, your practices, your clients, and Florida’s civil justice system. The attacks will not stop, and our enemies will only seek to further limit access to the courts. It is going to take all of us working together to preserve justice for all. As EAGLE members, you understand the importance of our work and I am grateful for your steadfast commitment to the cause.
This Tribute Book is dedicated to you, fellow EAGLEs.
In this book, you will find:
• 2024 EAGLE Legacy Award recipients
• 2024 Legend, Gold, Silver and Bronze EAGLE Award recipients
• 2024 Recruiting Champion
• Lifetime Recruiting Champions
• EAGLE Hall of Fame Members and 2024 Inductees
• Previous Legend EAGLE Award recipients
• Business Friends of EAGLE
I know that as a fellow EAGLE member, I can count on you to stand with us and help carry on the fight. If we stand together, committed unwaveringly to the work required to preserve justice, we will not be defeated.
Thank you for your continued dedication to the FJA.
Sincerely,
Todd J. Michaels President, Florida Justice Association

FJA® is proud to recognize the leaders whose efforts to recruit new attorneys into the EAGLE® program have broadened the base of our organization. Relationships developed in the initial steps of membership lay the foundation for commitments to the EAGLE® program in the future.
A cornerstone is defined as “something that is essential, indispensable, or basic.” It is: “the chief foundation on which something is constructed or developed.” With this in mind, FJA created the Cornerstone Award as a tribute to those who have worked tirelessly over the last year to bring new members into the organization. Recipients of this award were selected based on the number of members they recruited as well as the monetary value of those memberships.
CONGRATULATIONS AND THANK YOU TO OUR 2024 CORNERSTONE RECIPIENTS. WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL OF OUR MEMBERS FOR THEIR ASSISTANCE WITH RECRUITING EFFORTS.

BUSINESS FRIENDS OF EAGLE ®
Proud to support the Florida Justice Association
Felipe Blanco considers personal injury attorneys who help families find remedies for negligent injuries as unsung heroes. With continuous efforts from outside forces attempting to limit access to courts and reduce remedies to injured victims, many families would be in devastating positions.
His passion in the financial industry is to help you and your clients navigate the financial process during litigation. This includes defining anticipated financial needs of a client prior to litigation, as well as further development and coordination of wealth plans for your clients post-settlement.
Felipe Blanco is proud to have been involved with the FJA for over 20 years, and is a Legacy level Business Friend of EAGLE. He extends his sincere appreciation to the FJA for its ongoing efforts to defend the civil justice system.
Please contact Felipe for a complimentary consultation to see how he can provide you and your clients with pre- and post-settlement financial guidance.
