The Executive Chef and the Publishing Department Take Their Show on the Road
C
hef Julio Barillas and Conference Publishing Director Joe Holloway are taking gourmet, vegetarian culinary seminars to offices, businesses, and churches. They’ve exhibited at the Southern Women’s Convention at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando and the grand opening of Holmes Regional Medical Center’s new cardiac clinic. “We want you to come back for our employees: nurses, administrators, orderlies, and everybody that works in our hospital,” said administrators. East Pasco Medical Center, Zephyrhills, “wants our books on permanent display,” says Holloway. “We help companies cut absenteeism and overall health care costs which in turn cuts insurance costs,” he adds. “Julio presents his cooking and health seminar and the newest books from the Review and Herald Publishing Association. They’re all about plants, foods, and family health.”
Feelin’ good is the thumbs-up, guilt-free health, do something theme now being adapted by many Florida Conference churches.
