Tim Lovett was born and raised in Plant City. He attended Cork Elementary, Tomlin Junior High and Plant City High School. Upon graduation, Tim attended St. Leo University where he completed his bachelor’s degree in sociology. Mr. Lovett put his degree to great use in the years following college as he pursued a law enforcement career with the Plant City Police Department and Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. In his time as a law enforcement officer, he worked as a deputy, detective, corporal and sergeant, was assigned to various federal task forces, and earned numerous awards and accolades. After 31 years of service, Tim retired from the Sheriff's Office and began his career with the Florida Strawberry Festival as Vice President of Operations and is currently serving in his eighth year. Mr. Lovett has been married to his wife, Sabrina, for 28 years, and they have three children and two grandchildren, with one on the way. In his spare time, Tim enjoys spending time with his family and friends, and attending church.
