The Sydney International Piano Competition (The Sydney) has been a highlight of the international arts calendar for 45 years. It continues to innovate and evolve to remain relevant to today’s young artists, reflecting changes in the musical world at large. The Sydney inspires both pianists and audiences, stimulating public interest in the piano and in classical music generally, providing a showcase for outstanding young pianists and assisting in the development of their careers. The Sydney offers prizes in excess of 200.000 AUD – in addition to engagements with world orchestras, festivals, solo recitals, CD and digital recordings and professional career development.
