Basic Rules for spell casting Preparing yourself mentally. You can be as formal or informal as you like about this. Sometimes it’s nice to make a big fuss and set the scene both literally and psychologically before you begin. The trick is not to get too hung up on it! Often your will proves more powerful when unleashed spontaneously with no preparation at all, than at the end of days of careful preparation after which time all the “verve” has gone out of you. To “set” the spell put it out of your mind and don’t talk about it.

Continually fretting about it, revisiting it, talking about it or checking up on it’s results, only serves to dilute the spells energy and drive you and all those around you slowly crazy. Be patient it is likely to take at least one cycle of the moon to manifest.
