The Lions Motto “WE SERVE” Lions – is a non political, non sectarian, voluntary worldwide service organisation founded in America by Melvin Jones in 1917. Crossing all boundaries with members drawn from various walks of life, dedicated to helping in many ways those less fortunate in our community to-day. Downpatrick Lions Club was established in 1973. The club’s work is ongoing covering a wide range of service and fund raising activities. We help those in need in our local community and support many international projects.
