Activities, culture, shopping and several places to eat make the town center well worth a visit. It is located only 2 kilometres from the skilifts at Turistsenteret, 360 meters above sea level, right by the Trysilelva river.

The Trysilelva river flows beautifully through the entire municipality of Trysil and is a defining feature of the townscape. In spring, however, when the snow begins to melt, having a river so close to the town centre can present certain challenges
