The story of FlexQube began over 30 years ago in central Sweden when three boys developed a love for playing with Lego®. As they grew up and started their professional careers that love of being able to build something together never left them.
While working for a global manufacturer of construction equipment, one of the founders noticed that materials management wasn’t keeping up with modern demands. The industry norm of welded solutions wasn’t adaptable enough for the constant change that the industry was experiencing. The FlexQube idea was born.

A FlexQube pallet cart consists of three different modules: • The Platform which is built using the FlexBeams can be modified for any pallet size and optimized for the required weight capacity up to 1250 kg. • Transportation modules ranging from a wide range of casters and attachments, handlebars for simple push carts to smart building blocks for self driving carts and everything in between. • Top structures including pallet guides, decks and rollers as well as rotating and tilting platforms. These three module families can be combined and put together in endless different combinations. PICKING THE RIGHT SOLUTION. ANALYSE YOUR NEEDS
Before you start the process of selecting a cart make sure to properly analyze what you need from the cart and ask yourself the following questions: • How would you like to transport the cart? • At what frequency do you need to transport the parts? • How many parts per cart? • Weight of load?
NICE TO HAVE VS NEED TO HAVE
In the end cost is always a key aspect of any project and in many cases you can save both time and money by doing a proper analysis of your needs at the start of a project. Extra features are always nice but do you really need them? Are you only transporting one pallet size? Do you need to be able to move the cart manually? Do you need a 1000 kg load capacity? In the end it’s always a trade off between price and functionality and that is important to keep in mind from the get go. In the example below Cart A is about half the price of Cart B. Are you on a tight budget, or does your warehouse have narrow aisles? There is always an option! The price can be reduced even more by switching to a 4 caster setup with a smaller caster.

PALLET PUSH CARTS. The most basic way of transporting a pallet is doing it by hand. Our pallet push carts come in all sizes and forms ranging from a simple frame with pallet guides to rotating a tilting platform. The pallet push carts are commonly used in combination with a mother daughter system like the LiftRunner system. Where several mother frames connect into a train and transport the carts from the warehouse to the assembly line where it can be taken out and moved by hand.

PALLET TUGGER CARTS. Tugger carts for containers and pallets are the most common application, when transferring from a forklift driven supply of material to tugger train routes with several carts connected in a train. The carts are equipped with tow bars for which we have three different options in various lengths depending on the cart size and application.

QUAD STEER PALLET TUGGER CARTS. If you are dealing with tight aisles and need to transport a high volume of parts a Quad-Steer pallet cart is the solution for you. The Quad-Steer design is built around the concept of steering all four casters individually at an optimal steering angle – according to Ackerman’s steering mechanism which gives the Quad-Steer slightly better tracking properties than a cart with a six-caster setup.

PALLET CONVEYOR CARTS. A conveyor cart is often used in combination with a conveyor station and is used to eliminate the need of a forklift at the assembly station allowing the operator to manually slide the pallet from the cart to the station. The locking mechanism can easily be folded up and down to keep pallets in place during transportation. The direction of rollers can be adjusted, and you can choose to have one side closed off if you only require flow/locking in one direction.

ROTATING PALLET CARTS. Just like the tilt carts, a rotating platform can be a great option to improve picking efficiency and ergonomics eliminating the need for the operator to walk around the cart to pick material. The platform rotates on four casters attached on the inside of the framework and uses a spring-loaded locking to operate. The locking can be placed on any side of the cart and the platform can be locked in 90- or 180-degree increments.
