MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT Thanks to all the great cooks for making the St. Patrick’s dinner a success, as usual. We had more than enough to eat and then Ed Nadeau did his usual great job of supplying music for those who wished to dance. We are having a raffle for a beautiful painting done by Bette MacDonald. Tickets being sold at various functions for $1 per ticket or 10 tickets for $5. Drawing will be at the dance in April. The next raffle will be for two wooden corner shelves made by Mario Cellini. Please be sure to attend the next Association Meeting on April 3rd. There will be a guest speaker from the Crime Prevention Task Force. They were here last year and very informative. Focus will be on identity theft, scams, purse snatching, guns and alternative weapons, hurricane safety, carjacking and much more. The program will last about 30 minutes and allow time for questions. I’d like to urge everyone to attend. Refreshments will be served. Finally, the Farmer’s Market is a success and will continue weekly as long as our support continues. During the summer time will be cut to one hour. The hot dog sales are still a success, with a profit of over $140, so keep eating those dogs. Terry Morrow

CARDS MAKING/PAPER CRAFTING This group meets every Wednesday from 1 to 3pm in the clubhouse. All crafters are welcome, from beginners to more advanced. If you have always thought you would like to give card making a try, but don't know where to begin, or having been doing this on your own for years, we would love for you to come and join us. PANCAKE BREAKFAST Saturday, 4/1/17 8am—10am
Our last Pancake Breakfast will be on April 1st (not an April Fool’s joke). I have submitted my resignation, in writing, to the Board, I think. I want to thank everyone who supported our breakfasts over the many years, and I bet I can name most of the steady ones throughout those years. Without you, I would not have enjoyed doing it. Next, special thanks to the “crew”. Donna Parker, who filled many jobs, Toni & Harold Amundson, Jo Ann & Ed Nadeau and Marty & Betty Lescher, and also to Marty Meehan who filled for me when my wife was in the hospital. They got up at 7am the first Saturday of each and every month, rain or shine, and some of us at 6:30am to get everything up and running. Some of these wonderful volunteers worked for over 12 or 13 years. Thanks to all that came to eat and enjoyed the comrodery. Rich LeLievre
SOCIAL COMMITTEE The March Pot Luck was well attended, you could tell by the large variety of dishes. Dottie Brooks, Loretta Ferrara & Barbara Tweedle are enjoying a meal from IHOP with the gift certificates that they won. If you see Ron Guay enjoying a bottle of wine in his newly acquired glasses, congratulate him on winning the gift basket. The big winner was Art Hanson when his lucky ticket was drawn for the donation raffle. Next month, on April 8th, you can come to the clubhouse to enjoy one of the best harmonized duos in the Richey area. The Belairs will return to entertain you and provide dancing music. We start at 7pm and the cost is $7 per person. Tickets are available from Rich LeLievre, Ed & Jo Ann Nadeau and the office. Upcoming events include Cinco De Mayo on May 5th, a Memorial Day BBQ rib picnic on May 29th, a Salad Bar Pot Luck on June 17th, and a chicken dinner on July 4th. In August an ever popular Ice Cream Social will take place. Look for further information on these events in future issues of the Grapevine.
