Prom Night
If anyone comes to your door soliciting, please inform him/her that this is a private community, and they are not allowed to go door to door. Then politely ask them to leave as they are trespassing on private property. We thank you for your suggestions and will take them all under consideration. Grand Valley license plates are available from the office. You can pick them up at any time from Judy or Connie.
Thanks to Bette MacDonald and her staff for all their hard work in the planning and organizing of the first Grand Valley Prom Night. It was a huge success and was enjoyed by all who attended. The decorations and the music made you think of the past and of the Proms that you attended. Hope that there are other functions that Bette and her crew will be planning for everyone to enjoy. There were so many beautiful gowns, and of course the gentleman who came wearing his “White Sport Coat and Pink Carnation” was a big hit. 48 tickets were sold, and Bruce Jardine won the 50/50 of $50.00. Thanks again for a job well done! Profit for GVHA was $136.00
From The President The Board of Director's would like to thank all the residents who have paid their 2013 dues. There is still time to pay. On April 13th we will be hosting a FREE hamburger and hot dog luncheon – yes, I said FREE - for paid up members only, for all others there will be a $6.00 charge. This will be at the swimming pool from 12:00 to 2:00. In case of rain (or any other bad weather) it will be held on April 14th. Fred Bell
Rich’s Roast Beef Dinner/Dance 76 Tickets were sold and a great meal was enjoyed by all. The 50/50, $81.00, was won by Dory Forgues. We were entertained by Stan Prinston at no charge, due to a previous event that he wasn’t able to attend. The Association made a profit of $412.77.
R.O.M.E.O.'S R.O.M.E.O.'s (Retired Old Men Eating Out) Luncheon is scheduled for April 9th and will be held at Hooter's, Port Richey. A signup sheet has been posted in the clubhouse. Please sign up so we can notify Hooter's as to the number of gentlemen that will be in attendance at the lunch. You can indicate next to your name if you need a ride to the luncheon. Your driver will call you with your pick-up time. We hope that you will join us and enjoy a lunch with your neighbors.
