We welcomed new members Karen Anderson, Kathie Bellnier, Carolyn McAdams and Delores Pesch. Our Club is very alive and doing well. The Clubhouse was decorated for Mother's Day, thanks to Shirley Craven, Tanya Hahn, Jean Sutton and Pat VanDeMark. A special thanks to Marge Otto, Chairperson of the Memorial Committee and to the members of this Committee. They did a fantastic job with 3 memorials

that we had since the beginning of the year. Thanks to Marilyn Wilson for her generous donation. The Woman's Club gives and receives; that's how we can survive. Thanks also to the ladies of the Charity Committee who are working very hard, for the troops and the Women's Shelter. The box in the Clubhouse is full, thanks to the generosity of the people of Southfork. The quilters have stopped working for the summer but everything is ready for our annual Bazaar. The Yarn Hookers are still working and are preparing some things special for the Bazaar. The summer is here and I want everyone to feel like they are "on vacation" as our next meeting will be at the Golden Corral. Marielle Charitv Committee: This Charity Committee has been very busy. We have given Cox Elementary School $75 donation for their 5'' grade field trip to Cypress Gardens, to be used for bus rental. Also we gave them underwear for the little ones who don't make it to the restroom in time. Everyday Blessing donated several boxes of children's books that Mary Bolin took to the school. They appreciated all of it. We sent boxes of "goodies" to three sewicemen in Iraq and Afghanistan who are related to Southfork residents. Thank you for everyone who donated DVD's, CD's, moist wipes, hard candy and other things we sent and to those who helped shop and pack the boxes. God bless our troops! The third thing was our project for Sunrise of Pasco County for battered women and children. Thank you for your great response to filling to overflowing the box with

things they need. A special thanks to Ginger Stanbeck for her generous financial donation to be used for phone cards for the women. The people of Southfork always come through with everything we ask of them. Keep in mind the tax-free days for school supplies in August. Eye glasses are donated to those who cannot afford glasses. If anyone has any shawls or afghans, etc. they can be used

for the patients in the daycare center when they take their naps or are watching TV. Please contact either Sharon Proue or Beth Gilmartin @ 352-518-9300. Netta's News Last month there was an oversight on my part when I spoke about remembering the many men here at Southfork who have sewed in the military, not even thinking about that there may be women here at Southfork who have sewed our country as well. It was brought to my attention and I apologize. Here we are already in the month of June, almost all of our winter residents have left to go north and it is getting quiet here. Not for long. activities will continue for the summer for us to enjoy. This month it is time to celebrate Father's Day, June 15". A Father gives the kind of love that makes all the difference throughout life to his children. Most of you know that I don't write a newsletter during the summer but start up again in Sept. I have been giving this a lot of thought and have decided that I will retire my writing skills and wise cracks. I have run out of words and jokes. It gets quite stressful towards the end of the month and trying to get it to print to be delivered by the first of the month. There must be someone here in the park who could organize everything that has to go to print. If you feel so inclined, please contact Jim and Sue Peltier. Thank you for your kind words these past years, but, I do need a rest. Most Sincerely, Netta
