Willie Stoever New YearsEve 8-12pm Everyone is welcome! Do you usully spend it with a few of your friends and neighbors in your own home? Please bring them and spend it with us!!

For a change of atmosphere, we will move in round tables that will seat 4-6 people. Do you usually play cards or games,

have snacks and beverages of your choice? Bring them with you!! We will serve coffee and dessert.

Our budget does not provide live music so we are going to have a player ready to play a variety of your favorite kinds of music! If you bring it, we will play it!! But not too loud so that you can enjoy each other et ycrnr table! It will be a night out close to home. Last day to siga up is Dec. 15.

Yarn Hookers

We, as a committee of the Woman's club, extend our thank you to all who supported us in helping with our first successful bazaar table. At this first bazaar we have raffled off our first project (community afghan) as a group and the winner of that beautiful afghan was "Lou Doten." The total profit made at the Bazaar will be announced at the Womens Club meeting on Dec

Sh. The "Yam Hookers" will be hosting two (2) local knitting and crochet groups at the club house on February 21" at 1:30pm. The groups are from Tampa Bay Country Club and the Lake Jovita community.

We meet on Thursday evenings at 6:30pm and any who wish to join us are more then welcome. If there are any of you who would like to knit or crochet and don't know how, please come and join us and there will be many who can show you how to start. For the knitters bring a size 6 or 7 needle and some cotton yarn and for the crocheter's bring a size G or H needle with yarn. Any others who attend these meetings just bring their own needles and yarn and everyone works on their own projects and future projects for next years bazaar. It is a relaxing evening and we meet at the club house. Hope to see you there and if any questions, please give Phyllis Grossi a call at 567-6105.

Southfork Fruitcake 1tsp baking soda 1 cup water 4 large eggs 1cup sugar lemon juice 1tsp salt

1 cup brown sugar 2 cups dried fruit 1 gal whiskey nuts

Sample the whiskey to check for quality. Take a large bowl.

Check whiskey again by pouring one cup and drink. Repeat!

Turn on mixer, beat 1cup butter in a large fluffy bowl. Make sure whiskey is OK - Try another cup. Break 2 eggs and add to bowl and chuck in the dried fruit. Mix on the burner. If fried fruit gets stuck in beaters, pry loose with a screwdriver.

Sample the whiskey to check for toxsisity. Next, sift cups of salt or something. Who cares? Check the whiskey. Now sift the lemon juice and strain your nuts. Add one tablespoon of sugar or something. Whatever you can find. Grease the oven.

Turn the cake tin to 350 degrees. Beat off the turner, throw the bowl out the windo~c..Check the whiskey again. Go to bed.

Donna Scott Women's Club On Nov. 7ththe isdies o f the Women's Club had a very nice get together.

Thanks to the Hostesses - Mary Bolin, Jean Suttsn and Pat VandeMark. Carol Sanborn, head of the Charity Comm., mentioned that she mould like to have the box in the Clubhouse full of underwear, socks and toothbrushes.

No toys please. We were told that the Toys for Tots are "toys rich." Please be as generous as you were last year and fiu the box!

We discussed our next meeting, Dec.5 Christmas Party.

Don't forget to bring a gift for your Secret Pal; put her name on the gift but not your name. AU other ladies who want to exchange a gift, bring a gift and you will get a gift. This will be foilowed by a catered meal.

We discussed the Bazaar. Everything was under control.

Mary Bolin and all of you helpers made it a huge success, making over $1,600. Half of the money will go to charity.

On Mar. zndwe will have the Follies '08 put on by the "Genius Recycled Teenagers of Southfork" We have sponsors Scott Heiler and Fletcher Music. All proceeds are going to the troops. If you have not been asked to help yet, we will find you

Manv Thanks I just want to take this opportunity to say "thanks" to the wonderful and dedicated ladies of Southfork Women's group.

This was our first fund raiser of the 2007-08 season and they did an outstanding job. We faced a lot of competition during the month of Nov. There were a number of Bazaars, plus 49 garage and carport sales. We distributed 100 flyers and put a 3-week notice in the Pasco Shopper. I cannot thank each and everyone individually, so I say "thank you, thank you" to the following: our very dedicated Quilters, to our new group, the Yarn Hookers, the Bakery ladies, the raffle table and white elephant table ladies and the coffee and donut table and the ladies who did the lunch at poolside. Also I want to thank Columbe Remick who provided music at lunch. Last but not least a very special thanks to the men who helped set up the tables and put everything back in place on Mon. From Norm's Desk Wow. time flies and here we are less than a month and another winter season will be upon us.

I sincerely hope that you all have a great Thanksgiving and that the Lord has blessed you this year as he has us.

I don't express my thanks to our residents often enough, so I want to say THANK YOU for your kindness and consideration. You are great.

We have installed some motion lights on both sides of the Clubhouse. Please bear with us as we adjust them to work properly. Please let me know if they fail to come on properly Norm and we will endeavor to adjust them.

Netta's News Can you believe its Dec. already? Nov. just flew by with so many activities going on here a t Southfork. I'll start off with the Thanksgiving Turkey Pot Luck Dinner held on Nov. 15'~.

The sign up sheet was filled up very fast, much more than we expected as last year the count was 66. This year it was much more than that, 146 plus. Everything you could ever want for your Thanksgiving feast was there and everything was delicious. More than enough food for all that attended.

Unfortunately, there were empty seats that people had signed up to attend and did not show up. A lot of people had to double up on dishes so that there would be enough to go around. It's a shame that so much food was left over. The seating arrangement and the serving arrangements were different this year. It worked out just great, thanks to Dot Cady. Many helpers behind the tables to serve the food and the lines moved along very well. All the desserts were passed out after all had had their dinner, which also worked out real well.

Fletcher Music entertained us for a short amount of time. I think they were more interested in promoting their concert in Zephyrhills than anything else.

Some new residents may not know how Pot Luck dinners work. Most of the time there is a sign up sheet. You bring a dish to share for at least 10 people. There are no take out dinners prepared by our volunteers. Everyone in Southfork is welcome to share in our Pot Luck dinners, but please don't come empty handed.

You'll notice that there is no regular calendar for Dec. Jean Matala is on vacation and no one else has a disk to produce a calendar. Everything for Dec. is on the bulletin board and all the other activities are the same except for Christmas Day and also New Years Eve. Christmas Eve service was cancelled as a hand count was taken and there was a lack of response at the Association meeting.

Results of our ballots for spending the $1,000 were as follows: Chairs = 30 votes Shuffleboard = 13 votes Shed = 13 votes Bingo machine = 7 votes Dinner/Entertainment = 5 votes T\' = 3 votes (2 no's) Card game supplies = 1vote Please don't forget to pay your dues so that you will be able to vote on Jan. 28,2008. Dues are $15 per household and are due on or before Jan. 15,2008.
