PRESIDENT’S CORNER Well, as everyone is aware the park sale is now official. We have not met with the new owners as of yet but hopefully, we will be meeting with them soon. When we do we will try to arrange a meeting so that everyone will be able to attend. Hopefully we will be able to arrange this before the snowbirds go home. We must give the new owners time to determine the needs of the park and how much that park income will allow them to complete. We must also realize that everything that needs to be done will not be done overnight.

Page # 2 A VIEW FROM THE BACK GATE We have black, white, red, green, brown and blue as well as all shades in between.
A VIEW CONTINUED Slowing down and rolling through the intersection does not constitute a stop.
They are trucks, vans, cars and carts. What they have in common is that the drivers are not smart.
On February 2nd, each household received a letter from our new owners, the Heiler family. Personally, I read the letter as excellent in tone and felt that Scott, Jeff and Al Heiler will work with us to ensure that our quality of life will continue or even be enhanced. Let’s begin by policing ourselves regarding the traffic regulations here in our village.
The problem, you see, is that the drivers have little regard for the safety of you and me. They speed. A quick check of the dictionary defines LIMIT as in speed limit as the farthest extent; not exceeding the determined and / or posted number. STOP is defined as as to cease, halt, a cessation of motion. Herein lies the problem: The posted speed limit here in LHV is 15 mph. Regretfully, this is ignored by many. A stop sign at the intersection of Surry St. and Glen Este Ct. Is equally ignored.
The minute that we save by speeding and / or ignoring stop signs is not going to affect our lives in a monumental fashion but perhaps it will save a life or prevent serious injury to the many who walk here in the village. Rev. Chuck Wheatley
Page # 7 As time MARCH’s on, the normal schedule of events at LHV continues. Remember to check the calendar for time and dates of these. Other important things happening include: a presentation by an FMO representative Tuesday 3/17 following our pot luck at 6:00pm.; the ladies will enjoy “SEE CELEBRATION” on Thurs. 3/12 with carpooling at 11:00am. and our fund raiser: a TRADE SHOW & ALL PARKS YARD SALE on Sat. 3/21 from 9:00am to 2:00pm. This event raises money to pay for our insurance and any extras that the HOA might deem necessary. Please volunteer and donate your energy and time by calling Kay Levinson or any board member. Also, note the date of the R-EATERY BREAKFAST is changed to the 4th Saturday 3/28 for this month only. Get ready for the 50’s FAREWELL on Saturday 4/4 with an evening with Elvis as a farewell to our winter folks who will be heading north all too soon.

MANAGER’S CORNER CONT. All residents have signed a paper saying that they have read and understand the Rules and Regulations that we live by. They are for our Comfort, Welfare and Safety. In March, I will have a meeting all pet owners on 3/23/09. Owners of motorcycles (or any other vehicles) with loud mufflers must do something to quiet them or not drive them on park property. We must always remember that if we are considerate of our fellow residents, it will be a more peaceful and pleasant park to live in. So. Let us all come together and follow the rules.
