The Unofficial Newsletter of Lake Hammock Village David Schnopp Editor LAKE HAMMOCK VILLAGE RESIDENTS Here's to the bright New Year, and a fond farewell to the old; here's to the things that are yet to come, and to the memories that we hold." -- Anonymous I will be out of town for a few weeks starting January 13th. Bill Patelunas will be taking care of anything that might need immediate attention during my absence. EFFECTIVE January 1, 2010 any lot rental payment not received by the 10th of the month will incur a late charge of $10.00 plus $1.00 per day thereafter. I have asked all resident pet owners to please bring in your pets current vaccination/shot records and a picture of your pet(s). Even if you have brought in your pet’s vaccination/shot records prior to this request, I still need you to submit them to me again along with a picture of your pet(s). Thanking you in advance for your cooperation.
Thank you to the residents that have already complied with this request. Your cooperation and submission of your pet’s records & picture is very much appreciated. A continuing complaint from several residents is dog owners not complying to Lake Hammock Village Rule #15 ~ Pets. The two most reported complaints are: Not cleaning up after your pet and your dogs being unleashed. The solution to stopping these complaints are easy to do… just Scoop the Poop! Please collect and dispose of pet waste. No one likes to find a surprise in their yard left by your dog and/or on the path to the lake and/or on vacant lots. And Use the Leash! Dogs off leashes can be threatening to others and this will also eliminate the problem of your dog pooping in your
neighbor’s yard. Your neighbors and fellow residents ‘thank you very much’ for complying with the pet rules.
An Affordable Solution for those seeking homemakers, companions and sitters. Providing many services.

Many thanks to everyone for their prayers and expressions of sympathy on the death of Pat Rhoades. Even though she did not live here long, she felt welcomed by everyone. Pat particularly enjoyed all of the dogs and Mother Nature’s other animals that call Lake Hammock Village home. Your caring thoughts are very much appreciated. The Rhoades and Patelunas Families

Robert Whiting, an elderly gentleman of 83 arrived in Paris by plane. At French customs, he took a few minutes to locate his passport in his carry on.

Mr. Whiting admitted that he had been to France previously. “Then you should know enough to have your passport ready.” The American said “The last time I was here, I didn’t have one to show.” “Impossible. Americans always have to show your passports on arrival in France!” The American gave the Frenchman a long hard look. Then he quietly explained, “Well, when I came ashore at Omaha Beach on D-Day in 1944 to help liberate this country, I couldn’t find a single Frenchman to show a passport to.”

To all who “Shared Christmas With You” for H. C. Parks and Recreation, a GREAT BIG THANK YOU! The total in all of the buckets was $577.06 plus the toys in the box at the clubhouse. All of you did a great job collecting. Thanks to Mary Ann Donovan for putting the finishing touches on all of it while Karen and I flew to Illinois for the funeral of Lee’s wife Patricia.
