This summer, we proudly celebrate the 20th edition of the only UCI WorldTour stage race in the Benelux. Since its inaugural edition in 2005, the Renewi Tour has offered Spring Classics specialists the opportunity to compete for overall victory.
The 2025 edition kicks off in the Dutch province of Zeeland. On Tuesday, August 19, we welcome fans to Terneuzen for the official team presentation, followed by a flat opening stage to Breskens on Wednesday. The grand finale takes place five days later in Leuven, where the final stage will pay tribute to the 2021 UCI Road World Championships and wrap up the event in festive fashion. In doing so, we combine cycling history, innovation, and sustainable organisation.
Since the start of our partnership with Renewi, we have proudly carried the slogan: “Together, we aim to be the greenest & cleanest cycling event.” That mission remains our guiding principle in 2025. After previous successful initiatives such as waste zones, electric vehicles, green energy and LED screens, we’re taking things even further this year. Medals will be made from collected bottles, finish line inflatables will run on battery packs, and fans will again be able to return their used bottles. In the VIP zones, we’ll use glass and porcelain, offer vegetarian options, and provide our crew with reusable drinking bottles. Thanks to Renewi, as much waste as possible will be given a new life, both on and off the course.
Sustainability goes hand in hand with inclusion and engagement. Just like last year, Special Olympics athletes will race on the final day in Leuven, ahead of the pros. And our youngest fans won’t be left out: in Ardooie, we’re organizing the Euro Shop Kids Ride, where children can experience the joy of cycling in a playful, accessible way.
The safety of our riders remains a top priority. Thanks to the continued efforts of Safe Cycling and Metec, we ensure a well-managed and secure race environment.
From a sporting perspective, this year promises to be especially exciting. After the opening finish in Breskens, the peloton heads to Ardooie for a sprinter’s stage, followed by a punchy day through the Flemish Ardennes. On Friday, the iconic Vesten in Geraardsbergen awaits. The weekend begins with a varied stage from Riemst to Bilzen-Hoeselt in Limburg, and on Sunday, we round things off with a classic-style finale in Leuven. Without a time trial, the race for the green-blue leader’s jersey is wide open, ideal for the Classics specialists.
Our list of past winners speaks for itself. None other than Tim Wellens has the opportunity to claim a third consecutive overall victory this year. As always, the Renewi Tour attracts a strong and international field, with world-class names at the start, and 2025 will be no different.

In Vlaanderen hebben we een rijke sportcultuur. En wat is er Vlaamser dan onze koers? Op onze iconische kasseien en kuitenbijters schrijven de Flandriens elk jaar opnieuw een verhaal van bloed, zweet en tranen – een verhaal dat Vlaanderen internationaal doet schitteren als sportnatie. (Top)sportevenementen inspireerden en inspireren sporters, clubs, scholen en vrijwilligers om onze Vlaamse sportcultuur te versterken. Sport is dan ook een belangrijke schakel die verschillende gemeenschappen verbindt. Of je nu zelf sport of vanaf de zijlijn aanmoedigt, elke sportactiviteit brengt mensen samen. Het helpt ons niet alleen beter te bewegen, maar ook beter samen te leven.
Van het lokale basketbalpleintje om de hoek tot de grote voetbalarena’s: elke wedstrijd zorgt voor verbinding en elke training maakt ons sterker. Sport brengt jong en oud, vrienden en onbekenden bij elkaar. Het leert ons
het belang van samenwerking en hoe om te gaan met tegenslagen – vaardigheden die ook buiten het veld van pas komen.
Dus, of je nu begint met hardlopen, een bal opgooit of gewoon komt kijken: je draagt bij aan iets moois. Met sport in ons leven werken we aan een toekomst waarin iedereen wint.
Ik kijk alvast uit naar wat die toekomst ons nog brengt en ben trots om deel uit te maken van deze geweldige sportgemeenschap.

Welkom in Terneuzen!
Op 19 en 20 augustus is Terneuzen het centrum van de internationale wielerwereld. De Grand Départ van de enige UCI WorldTour rittenwedstrijd in de Benelux is een feestelijke gebeurtenis. Wat een eer dat we dit in ons eigen Terneuzen van dichtbij mogen meemaken. Het is extra bijzonder dat deze rit uitsluitend op Zeeuws-Vlaams grondgebied plaatsvindt.
De Renewi Tour is meer dan een duurzame wielerkoers. Het is voor ons hét voorbeeld van hoe topsport kan bijdragen aan maatschappelijke verantwoordelijkheid en milieubewustzijn. Zo zet de organisatie alleen elektrische auto’s in, maakt de keuze voor gescheiden afvalinzameling, gebruikt gerecyclede producten en biedt gezonde voeding aan. Voorbeelden waar wij als gemeente ook graag ons steentje aan bijdragen.
Alle supporters uit Nederland en België heten we van harte welkom. Bij elke start is het weer genieten op het rennerspark. Hier staan de wielerfanaten oog in oog met hun helden. Of tijdens de ploegenpresentatie waar het ene na het andere team van wereldniveau zich voorstelt. Op dinsdagavond vindt al de uitgebreide presentatie plaats op de Markt.
Graag zien wij u in Terneuzen op dinsdag 19 en woensdag 20 augustus. Beleef de sfeer in het hart van Terneuzen en maak het spectaculaire vertrek van deze 1e rit mee! Wij wensen u een mooie en spannende rit toe.

Les 19 et 20 août, Terneuzen sera le centre d’attention du monde cycliste international. Le Grand Départ de l’unique course par étapes de l’UCI WorldTour dans le Benelux est un événement festif. Nous sommes particulièrement honorés de pouvoir vivre cet événement de près dans notre propre ville de Terneuzen. L’événement est d’autant plus spécial que la course se déroulera exclusivement sur le sol de la Flandre zélandaise.
Le Renewi Tour est bien plus qu’une simple course cycliste durable. Pour nous, c’est l’exemple même de la manière dont le sport de haut niveau peut contribuer à la responsabilité sociale et à la prise de conscience des impératifs environnementaux. Pour preuve de son engagement, l’organisation se sert uniquement de voitures électriques, opte pour la collecte sélective des déchets, utilise des produits recyclés et propose des aliments sains. Il va de soi que ce sont là quelques exemples auxquels nous sommes heureux de contribuer en tant que municipalité.
Nous accueillerons donc chaleureusement tous les supporters des Pays-Bas et de Belgique. Sur le parc des coureurs, chaque départ sera vécu, n’en doutons pas, avec le plus grand enthousiasme. Que ce soit dans le parc cycliste ou lors de la présentation des équipes – les équipes de classe mondiale y seront présentées l’une après l’autre – les amoureux de vélo pourront côtoyer leurs héros. Le mardi soir, est également prévue une présentation détaillée sur la place du marché.
Nous nous réjouissons par avance de votre venue à Terneuzen les mardi 19 et mercredi 20 août prochains. Venez nous rejoindre dans l’ambiance qui ne manquera pas d’animer le cœur de Terneuzen et assister au départ spectaculaire de ce premier tour ! Wat een feest om de Renewi Tour opnieuw in onze gemeente te mogen verwelkomen! Voor de derde keer op rij zijn we onderdeel van dit prachtige wielerspektakel. Na een tijdrit en een start, hebben we dit jaar de eer om de finish te mogen organiseren in Breskens. En dat in een volledig Zeeuws-Vlaamse etappe – iets waar we trots op mogen zijn!
Als burgemeester én fervent wielrenner klopt mijn hart sneller van dit soort evenementen. De combinatie van sport, landschap en gemeenschap maakt het tot een mooie ervaring. De renners rijden door ons mooie, weidse Zeeuws-Vlaamse landschap. Langs dorpen en dijken die wielrennen ademen.
Ik bedank alle vrijwilligers, partners, sponsoren, ondernemers en inwoners die de organisatie van dit evenement mogelijk maken. Samen zorgen we voor een warm welkom én een onvergetelijke finish.
Welkom in de gemeente Sluis en in het stoere en maritieme Breskens! We hopen tijdens de Renewi Tour veel inwoners en bezoekers te zien. Het belooft weer een fantastische dag vol sportieve hoogtepunten te worden!

Quelle joie d’accueillir à nouveau la Renewi Tour dans notre commune! Pour la troisième fois consécutive, nous faisons partie de ce magnifique spectacle cycliste. Après un contre-la-montre et un départ, nous avons cette année l’honneur d’organiser l’arrivée à Breskens. Et cela dans une étape entièrement en Flandre zélandaise – un sujet de grande fierté pour nous!
En tant que maire et cycliste passionné, mon cœur bat plus fort lors de ce genre d’événements. La combinaison du sport, du paysage et de la communauté en fait une expérience magnifique. Les coureurs traversent notre beau et vaste paysage de Flandre zélandaise, le long des villages et des digues qui respirent le cyclisme.
Je tiens à remercier tous les bénévoles, partenaires, sponsors, entrepreneurs et habitants qui rendent l’organisation de cet événement possible. Ensemble, nous assurons un accueil chaleureux et une arrivée inoubliable.

Ardooie, een levendige plek waar sport en ondernemerschap samenkomen, vormt met trots het decor voor dit prachtige wielerevenement, en dit al voor de 17e keer!
Als kleine gemeente zijn we verheugd dat deze aankomst een breed publiek aanspreekt.
Supporters, sportliefhebbers en geïnteresseerde bezoekers zullen Ardooie op een andere manier leren kennen.
Onze rijke geschiedenis op het vlak van wielersport komt tot leven tijdens de Renewitour. Het Kampioenschap van Vlaanderen, ook wel beter bekend als onze fameuze Koolskamp Koers, gaat dit jaar al voor de 109e keer door. Een traditie waar we terecht fier op zijn.
Namens het gemeentebestuur wil ik alle medewerkers en sponsors bedanken die dit evenement mogelijk hebben gemaakt en wens ik iedereen een prachtige dag in Ardooie toe.

Our rich history of cycling comes to life during the Renewi Tour. The Flanders Championship, also known as our famous Koolskamp Koers, is celebrating its 109th anniversary this year. A tradition we are rightly proud of.

Op vrijdag 22 augustus 2025 ontvangt de gemeente
Aalter voor de elfde keer Golazo als organisator van een etappe in de Renewi Tour: Aalter – Geraardsbergen.
Deze mooie traditie wordt warm onthaald, zowel door de inwoners van Aalter als door wielerliefhebbers uit de ruime regio.
De absolute top van het nationale en internationale wielerpeloton zal die dag te bewonderen zijn – bij de ploegvoorstelling aan het gemeentehuis én tijdens de doortocht door zeven Aalterse deelkernen. Een unieke kans om deze sporthelden van dichtbij aan het werk te zien.
Aalter, een gemeente met een groot hart voor de wielersport, heet iedereen van harte welkom. Geniet met volle teugen van deze wielerhoogdag!

Cette belle tradition est chaleureusement accueillie, tant par les habitants d’Aalter que par les passionnés de cyclisme de toute la région.
Le gratin du peloton national et international sera présent ce jour-là – lors de la présentation des équipes devant la maison communale, ainsi qu’au passage dans les sept villages qui composent Aalter.
Une occasion unique de voir ces héros du sport à l’œuvre de tout près !

Geraardsbergen maakt zich op voor spectaculaire etappe van de Renewi Tour
Geraardsbergen verwelkomt dit jaar opnieuw de Renewi Tour, de enige UCI WorldTour-rittenkoers die België en Nederland doorkruist. Op vrijdag 22 augustus is onze stad het decor voor de aankomst van de eerste van drie pittige etappes in deze vijfdaagse rittenkoers. Een stevige opener die meteen het tempo van deze editie zal bepalen!
Vanuit Aalter trekt het peloton richting Geraardsbergen, waar een uitdagend en inmiddels vertrouwd parcours wacht. De renners krijgen de Denderoordberg, de Onkerzele Berg, de Bosberg en natuurlijk de Muur van Geraardsbergen voor de wielen geschoven. De finale ligt opnieuw op de Vesten, een aankomst die stilaan uitgroeit tot een klassieker binnen het internationale wielrennen.
Door het kermisweekend in Geraardsbergen verzorgen we niet langer de traditionele slotetappe, maar dat maakt de feestvreugde er niet minder om. Met deze etappe halen we meteen koers van de bovenste plank in huis. Een spetterende finale is verzekerd. De vraag is: wie treedt in de voetsporen van Arnaud De Lie, die vorig jaar de bloemen mee naar huis nam?
Koers zit in het DNA van Geraardsbergen
Geraardsbergen en wielrennen vormen al jarenlang een ijzersterke tandem. Onze stad ádemt koers en dat voelen ook de renners en supporters. De mythische Muur, de befaamde Bosberg, de weidse landschappen en prachtige vergezichten dagen uit tot grootse prestaties.
Als stad zijn we trots dat de Renewi Tour ons na al die jaren nog steeds een vaste plek in het parcours gunt. Dat zegt veel over de waarde en beleving die hier elk jaar opnieuw wordt gecreëerd. Deze editie belooft opnieuw een sportief hoogtepunt te worden. Wij kijken er alvast reikhalzend naar uit!

Grammont se prépare pour une étape spectaculaire du Renewi Tour
Cette année encore, Grammont accueillera le Renewi Tour, la seule course par étapes UCI WorldTour qui traverse la Belgique et les Pays-Bas. Le vendredi 22 août, notre ville sera le décor de l’arrivée de la première des trois étapes exigeantes de cette course de cinq jours. Une solide mise en bouche qui donnera immédiatement le ton de cette édition !
Partant d’Aalter, le peloton se dirigera vers Grammont, où l’attend un parcours exigeant et désormais bien connu. Les coureurs affronteront le Denderoordberg, l’Onkerzele Berg, le Bosberg et bien sûr le mythique Mur de Grammont. L’arrivée sera à nouveau jugée sur les Vesten, un final qui est en passe de devenir un classique du cyclisme international.
En raison du week-end de kermesse à Grammont, nous n’accueillerons plus l’étape finale traditionnelle, mais cela ne réduira en rien l’ambiance festive. Avec cette étape, nous proposons directement une course de très haut niveau. Un final spectaculaire est garanti. La question est : qui succédera à Arnaud De Lie, qui avait remporté les fleurs l’année dernière ?
Le cyclisme est dans l’ADN de Grammont Grammont et le cyclisme forment depuis de nombreuses années un duo solide. Notre ville respire le vélo, et les coureurs ainsi que les supporters le ressentent pleinement. Le mythique Mur, le fameux Bosberg, les vastes paysages et les panoramas magnifiques inspirent les plus grands exploits.
En tant que ville, nous sommes fiers que le Renewi Tour nous accorde encore, après toutes ces années, une place permanente dans le parcours. Cela en dit long sur la valeur et l’atmosphère qui sont créées ici chaque année. Cette édition promet à nouveau d’être un moment fort sur le plan sportif. Nous l’attendons déjà avec impatience !

We zijn trots om voor de 13de keer gastgemeente te zijn van de Renewi Tour. De rit Riemst-Bilzen combineert het mooiste van een iconische koers: van de start aan de imposante Brug van Vroenhoven tot de beklimming van de Slingerberg, een klassieker voor wie van kuitenbijters houdt.
Maar Riemst is méér dan koers alleen. We zetten al enkele jaren volop in op fietstoerisme en -beleving. Zo stippelden we vier nieuwe fietsroutes uit waarmee je onze streek op je eigen tempo kunt verkennen. Met een netwerk van 80 kilometer aan fietspaden, zeven fietscafés, meer dan tien fietsvriendelijke logies én een picknickpakket vol lokale producten is alles aanwezig om van je uitstap een heerlijk veelzijdige ervaring te maken.
Kortom: er valt heel wat te beleven. Supporter dus samen met vrienden en familie. En geniet tussendoor vooral van de sfeer, de gastvrijheid én de smaken van Riemst. Van een terrasje in de zon tot een glaasje Riemstse wijn of een gerecht met streekproducten zoals de grotchampignons. Genoeg indrukken en belevenissen voor meerdere dagen plezier.

Soyez les bienvenus à Riemst ! Nous sommes fiers d’accueillir pour la 13e fois une étape de la Renewi Tour. L’étape Riemst-Bilzen réunit tout ce qui fait le charme d’une course emblématique : du départ au pied de l’impressionnant Pont de Vroenhoven à l’ascension du Slingerberg, un classique pour les amateurs de côtes exigeantes.
Mais Riemst, ce n’est pas que le vélo de compétition. Depuis plusieurs années, nous misons pleinement sur le cyclotourisme et l’expérience à vélo. Nous avons créé quatre nouveaux itinéraires pour vous permettre de découvrir notre région à votre rythme. Avec 80 kilomètres de pistes cyclables, sept cafés vélo, plus de dix hébergements adaptés aux cyclistes et même un panier pique-nique garni de produits locaux, tout est réuni pour faire de votre visite une expérience savoureuse et variée.
Bref, il y a tant à voir et à faire. Venez encourager les coureurs entre amis ou en famille, et profitez de l’ambiance conviviale, de l’accueil chaleureux et des saveurs locales. Une terrasse ensoleillée, un verre de vin de Riemst ou un plat aux champignons de grotte... vous en prendrez plein les yeux et les papilles. Assez pour prolonger le plaisir plusieurs jours !

Bilzen-Hoeselt verwelkomt opnieuw de Renewi Tour. We zijn verheugd om weer als etappestad te fungeren voor de enige WorldTour-rittenkoers in België. Op zaterdag 23 augustus vormt deelgemeente GroteSpouwen de aankomstplaats van de voorlaatste etappe.
Het peloton zal tijdens de rit doorheen het typische glooiende Haspengouwse landschap slingeren en enkele iconische locaties passeren. De eindstreep is zoals vorig jaar getrokken in de Rode Kruislaan. Wie volgt er Jonathan Milan op als dagwinnaar? Wordt het een koninklijke sprint of wint een solist? Hoe dan ook, de spanning zal te snijden zijn.
We hopen u massaal op 23 augustus te ontmoeten om naast de koers ook te proeven van alles wat BilzenHoeselt te bieden heeft. Bezoek zeker de gezellige binnenstad met talloze terrassen. Met de Renewi Tour brengen wij wielersport en gastvrijheid samen, voor zowel renners als toeschouwers. We verwelkomen u met open armen!

Bilzen-Hoeselt accueille une fois de plus le Renewi Tour. Nous sommes enchantés d’être de nouveau une ville étape de l’unique course à étapes du WorldTour organisée en Belgique. Le samedi 23 août, c’est à Grote-Spouwen, l’une des communes de l’entité, qu’aura lieu l’arrivée de l’avant-dernière étape.
Au cours de cette étape, le peloton sillonnera le paysage hesbignon typique et passera par plusieurs lieux emblématiques. Tout comme l’année dernière, la ligne d’arrivée sera tracée dans la Rode Kruislaan. Qui succédera à Jonathan Milan comme vainqueur d’étape ? Assisterons-nous à un sprint royal ou à une échappée en solitaire ? De toute manière, le suspense sera à son comble.
Nous espérons vous rencontrer très nombreux le 23 août. En marge de la course, nous vous invitons à profiter de tout ce que peut offrir Bilzen-Hoeselt. N’hésitez pas à visiter l’agréable centre-ville où vous attendent de nombreuses terrasses. À l’occasion du Renewi Tour, nous associons sport cycliste et hospitalité, tant pour les coureurs que pour les spectateurs. Vous serez accueillis à bras ouverts !

Leuven heeft een hart voor de koers. Onze stad kent een rijke wielergeschiedenis met onder meer de GP Jef Scherens en later de Tour of Leuven. In 2021 beleefden we een hoogtepunt met een onvergetelijk WK wielrennen. Dit jaar schrijven we een nieuw hoofdstuk aan dat wielerverhaal met de slotetappe van de Renewi Tour. Op 24 augustus zal de strijd om het eindklassement losbarsten in de straten van Leuven. Met hopelijk spektakel op de vele hellingen in het stadscentrum en een apotheose op de Bondgenotenlaan wordt Leuven opnieuw het decor van een koers op het allerhoogste niveau. Wij kijken er naar uit om renners en supporters warm te verwelkomen.

Louvain a le cœur qui bat pour le cyclisme. Notre ville possède une riche histoire cycliste, avec notamment le Grand Prix Jef Scherens et plus récemment le Tour de Louvain. En 2021, nous avons vécu un moment inoubliable avec le Championnat du Monde de cyclisme.
Cette année, nous écrivons un nouveau chapitre de cette belle histoire avec l’arrivée de l’étape finale du Renewi Tour. Le 24 août, la bataille pour le classement général se jouera dans les rues de Louvain. Avec, espérons-le, du spectacle sur les nombreuses côtes du centre-ville et un final en apothéose sur la Bondgenotenlaan, Louvain sera à nouveau le théâtre d’une course au plus haut niveau.
Nous nous réjouissons d’ores et déjà d’accueillir chaleureusement les coureurs et les supporters.

Renewi - General individual classification
The general individual classification is compiled by adding up the times recorded by the chronometers at the end of each stage and by taking into account the bonuses in stage races and during the intermediate sprints (+ the penalty times). The bonuses, which only count for the general individual classification, have been awarded in the following stages (art. 2.6.019): stage 1, stage 2, stage 3, stage 4, stage 5. This concerns bonuses awarded in the stage result and in the 3 bonus sprints linked to the Green KM in every stage race.
• The following bonuses are awarded to each bonus sprint of the Green KM: 3”, 2” and 1” to the first 3 riders in the bonus sprint. In each stage there is the Green KM with three bonus sprints within the distance of 1 km are separated in the final of each stage.
• The following bonuses are attached to each stage result: 10”, 6” and 4” to the first 3 riders in the result.
The leader in the general individual classification wears the Green/Blue leader’s jersey of Renewi.
2.6.015 Where two or more riders make the same time in the general individual time placings, the fractions of a second registered during individual time trials (including the prologue) shall be added back into the total time to decide the order. If the result is still tied or if there are no individual time trial stages the placings obtained in each stage, except team time trial stages, shall be added and, as a last resort, the place obtained in the last stage ridden shall be taken into consideration.
Teamleader - Overall Individual Points Classification
The individual points classification is compiled by adding up the points linked to the stage results of the 5 stages. No points are awarded in the bonus sprints.

The leader in the overall individual points classification wears the green Teamleader leader’s jersey. In accordance with article 2.6.017 of the UCI regulations, in the event of a tie in the general individual Teamleader endpoint classification, the following criteria will be used until a difference occurs:
1. Number of stage wins;
2. Number of wins in intermediate sprints counting for the general classification on points;
3. General individual classification by time.
To be eligible for the prizes linked to the individual end point classification, the rider must have completed the entire course of the race within the times provided for in the regulations.
Super8 Flandrien – Combativity Classification
The “Super8 Flandrien Combativity” ranking is compiled by adding up the points associated with:
• The order of the passages at the “Super8 Flandrien checkpoints” (2 reference points). The first 5 riders can earn the following points in this sprint:

• The extra points awarded to the first 5 riders at the Super8 Flandrien checkpoint, linked to the time differences with the main peloton (main group).
These points are awarded based on the time difference at that time:
• 1 point for a time difference of 30”
• 2 points for a time difference of 1 minute
• 3 points for a time difference of 2 minutes
• 4 points for a time difference of 3 minutes
• 5 points for a time difference of 4 minutes and more
There are 2 Super8 Flandrien checkpoints for the stages: stage 1 / stage 2 / stage 3 / stage 4 / stage 5
In the event of an ex-quo, the following criteria are used until a difference arises:
• Most number of 1st place “checkpoints”
• The highest score achieved at one of the Super8 checkpoints by the riders involved
• The place in the overall individual ranking on time
The leader of the Super8 Flandrien Combativity classification wears the beige Super8 Flandrien jersey.
Ethias - Individual Youth classification
To be eligible for the youth classification (U23), you must be born in the year 2003 or later. If there are too few riders eligible for this classification, the age limit can be raised in consultation with the officials & UCI.
The individual youth classification is compiled by adding up the times recorded by the chronometers at the end of each stage and by taking into account the bonuses in stages and during the intermediate sprints (+ the penalty times). The bonuses, which only count for the general individual classification and the individual youth classification, have been awarded in the following stages (art. 2.6.019): stage 1, stage 2, stage 3, stage 4, stage 5. This concerns bonuses awarded in the stage results and in the 3 bonus sprints linked to the Green KM in every stage:
• The following bonuses are awarded to each bonus sprint of the Green KM: 3”, 2” and 1” to the first 3 riders in the bonus sprint. In each stage there is the Green KM with the three bonus sprints that are within the distance of 1 km in the final of each stage.
• The following bonuses are attached to each stage result: 10”, 6” and 4” to the first 3 riders in the result.
The leader in the individual youth ranking wears the orange leader’s jersey of Ethias.

Team classification
In accordance with article 2.6.016 of the UCI regulations, the team classification of the day is calculated by adding the best three individual times per team. In the event of equality, the teams are separated by adding the places achieved in the stage by the three best times of their team. In the event of new equality, the teams will be separated by the position of their best rider in the classification of the stage. The general team classification is calculated by adding the three best individual times of each team in all stages.
In the event of a tie, the following criteria are taken into account until a difference arises:
1. Number of first places in the day team classification
2. Number of second places in the day team classification
3.
If there is still a tie, the classification will be determined by the best placed rider in the general individual time classification. All teams with less than three riders in the race are excluded from the team classification.
The following time limits are applied in the Renewi Tour:
- Stages: 12%
For safety reasons any adjustments may be permitted by the board of commissioners after consultation with the organization.
ART. 8 - ARRIVAL UPHILL
In the Renewi Tour there is 1 arrival with an uphill slope. Article 2.6.027 therefore applies to stages 1, 2, 4, 5. (with the exception of stage 3).
ART. 9 – STAGES WITH EXPECTED MASS SPRINT ARRIVALS
The following stages have been determined as a stage where a bunch sprint can be expected:
- Stage 1 – Terneuzen – Breskens
- Stage 2 – Blankenberge – Ardooie
- Stage 4 – Riemst – Bilzen-Hoeselt
- Stage 5 – Leuven - Leuven
During these stages, the calculation protocol for the stages with ‘expected mass sprint arrivals’ shall apply, as published on the UCI website under the Regulations section. The Sprintzone is marked at the km 3 point.
ART. 10 - OFFICIAL CEREMONIES
TEAM PRESENTATION
The official team presentation will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 19 from 5:30 pm at the Markt in Terneuzen, in which the 7 riders will participate. For this presentation, a time schedule will be drawn up by the organizers, with the teams being presented every 5 minutes. The clothing of the riders is the same for all and consists of the official race clothing of the team. No bikes are needed.
DAILY – SIGNATURE CEREMONY
The teams, in their entirety, must be present at the daily signature podium at the specified times in the inverse order of the individual general classification.

ART. 11 – NEUTRAL TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
The neutral technical assistance service is provided by SHIMANO who shall provide 2 fully equipped vehicles and 1 neutral assistance motorbike.
ART. 12 - PRIZE MONEY
The Renewi Tour has been awarded the following prizes and premiums:

ART. 13 - ANTI-DOPING REGULATIONS
The UCI anti-doping regulations will be applied to this race in their entirety.
Should the case require it, the relevant anti-doping legislation of the Nation of Belgium or the Netherlands will apply.
Anti-doping controls shall be performed in a specially equipped bus near the podium at every stage
ART. 14 – FEEDING ZONES & LITTER ZONES
In order to protect the environment and to project a positive image of cycling, special Litter zones will be established approximately every 30/40 kilometers featuring rubbish collection zones. This, so-called “litter zones” are provided before and after each feeding zone at every 30 to 40 km. We kindly ask participants not to throw anything, drink bottles or other rubbish along areas not specifically marked for this purpose.
ART.15 - PENALTIES
The UCI’s Table of Penalties shall be applied exclusively. Any cases not outlined in the current Regulations must be resolved by the UCI Cycling Regulation, on a case-by-case basis.
Missing timing transponders: after the race, the teams return the transponders to Chronorace or the commissioners at the finishline.
A fee of 100 euro will be charged for each missing transponder. These can only be given to Chronorace or the commissioners present at the finish line.
