Company Profile Promo Import was founded in 2008 and is one of South Africa’s top importers for the corporate gift and promotion industry.

Our approach is to design or source the most original and best quality products, oversee the manufacturing process, import, ship and clear them in time for our client’s deadlines.

Promo Import has, up until 2013, only worked with promotion companies. We have delivered hip flasks, key-rings, beach chairs, flash sticks, lanyards, MP3 players and many other items that were used for promotions of some of the biggest companies in South Africa. 60 000 headphones for Amstel, 20 000 bar blades for Savannah, hundreds of thousands of branded beach and rain umbrellas. 02 SUMMER BEACH BRANDING Promo Import through it’s sister company, The Umbrella Man has been in the umbrella industry since 2009, supplying independent and large corporate retailers with quality rain umbrellas, beach umbrellas, outdoor parasols, beach and camping chairs. The Umbrella Man also services the promotions industry. We supply and deliver custom manufactured and branded umbrellas, parasols, tents, beach chairs and camping chairs to the promotions industries’ end customers. Only the best high quality durable materials are used in the production process. We have storage facilities in Cape Town and in Johannesburg, and have distribution capabilities across the country.

04 THE PROCESS Moving from concept to completion requires a large amount of planning. Starting with a design, sketching out CAD drawings, deciding on a material, choosing a manufactuer and controlling the process all while trying to land your product at the best price and to the best quality stanards.

Promo Import works with a number of manufacturers. We don’t deal with Hong Kong agents and choose products from catalouges. We work with steel companies creating custom moulds for bar blades and hip flasks. Using the source materials to create something unique, strong and durable that will not be thrown away after one use but rather be cherished for years to come.
