Doll's Festival, also known as HinaMatsuri, is an annual event in Japan that takes place on March 3rd. It originated from ancient China as a custom of offering and praying for good luck. During the Heian period in Japan, it became a festival where both men and women purified themselves and enjoyed peach blossom. As part of the celebration, dolls representing a royal wedding at an imperial palace play an important role. The dolls are typically arranged in a tiered display with the prince and princess on top, followed by other dolls such as 3 female maids, 5 male bands, 2 guards, and 3 male servants. Eating special dishes is also an important part of the festival. Doll's Festival is also an occasion for girls to receive special treats.
