We are glove specialists, and pride ourselves on making what some consider the best gloves ever created. Not that we’re smarter than other equipment brands, but simply because we only do gloves.

All of our resources, human, technical, and financial, are devoted to a single product: gloves!

Every day, every hour, every minute, we are dedicated to the design, development, and production of top-quality gloves. Why? Because we’re convinced that the glove is an essential part of riders’ equipment, and it shouldn’t be considered a mere “fashion statement”.

The hand is both complex and fragile, since it’s so exposed in a fall. It’s made up of a large number of small parts: joints, bones, muscles, tendons, nerve endings. Designing a product that fits these constraints isn’t so simple. The hand is, more than anything, essential to our daily lives. So, it’s essential to protect it properly, with a glove that’s right for your sport. A FIVE glove, obviously.

You can’t design a glove in the same way you design a jersey. It has to be protective, comfortable, durable, breathable, and fit the rider’s hand to transmit every movement without restriction. And this is truly a matter for specialists!

Of course, on a bike, you pedal with your legs, but steering precision and finesse is expressed... through the handlebar!

Gloves are therefore the vital link between you and your bike. Because, it’s a matter of faithfully reproducing through the handlebars what the rider has in mind.

We have more than 10 years of experience at the highest levels in motorcycle racing (World Championship MotoGP, Superbike, Endurance, Motocross, Enduro, etc ..), which has helped us develop absolute mastery of technical constraints, both in terms of steering at high-speed on two wheels, and in reducing the risk of injury to the hand. We’ve leveraged this experience and, by adapting our concepts to this highly specific activity, we’ve transferred this knowledge to cycling.

There is a fundamental difference between making a beautiful glove, and making a truly efficient glove. Our goal is to bring you a combination of these elements in just one product.

Nous sommes spécialistes du gant et prétendons faire ce que certains considèrent comme les meilleurs gants jamais créés. Non pas que nous soyons plus malins que les marques d’équipement concurrentes, mais simplement parce que nous ne faisons que ça. Chaque jour, chaque heure, chaque minute, nous nous consacrons à la conception, au développement et à la production de gants de qualité supérieure. Pourquoi ? Parce que nous sommes convaincus que le gant est un élément essentiel de l’équipement du pilote et qu’il ne doit pas être considéré comme une simple « pièce de vêtement ».

La main est un membre à la fois complexe et fragile, car très exposé en cas de chute. Elle est composée d’un nombre important d’éléments, articulations, os, muscles, tendons, terminaisons nerveuses, de petite taille. Concevoir un produit qui s’adapte à ces contraintes n’est pas si simple. La main est surtout indispensable à notre quotidien. It was this same approach that led to the development of the FIVE Bike Advanced Gloves range, which we’d like to share with you through our Generation 2 collection.

Nous bénéficions de plus de 10 années d’expérience au plus haut niveau en compétition moto (Championnats du monde MotoGP, Superbike, Endurance, Motocross, Enduro, etc…), qui nous ont apporté une maitrise absolue des contraintes techniques, tant en terme de pilotage d’un deux roues à haute vitesse que de réduction des risques de blessure de la main.

Nous mettons à profit cette expérience et, en adaptant nos concepts à cette pratique si spécifique, la transposons au vélo. Il existe une différence fondamentale entre faire un beau gant et faire un bon gant. Notre ambition est de vous apporter la synthèse des deux en un seul produit. Dessiner un gant est une chose, le produire à grande échelle et dupliquer ses qualités fonctionnelles sur chaque taille en est

une autre. Nous créons nos propres concepts, dessinons nos propres patrons, taille après taille, déterminons au millimètre près le positionnement de chaque élément de protection, de chaque couture, nous sélectionnons chaque matériau. Pour qu’au final, l’ajustement du gant et la sensation qu’il procure (nous appelons ça le « fitting ») offre toujours le meilleur compromis entre protection et confort d’utilisation. Ce, quelle que soit votre taille.

Seul un spécialiste peut vous apporter une telle constance. Nous disposons de nos propres centres de conception et de développement, en France et en Italie, et fabriquons dans nos propres unités de production. Au final, cela fait toute la différence. Il vise à assurer un niveau de confort optimal en appui sur le cintre, quelle que soit la position des mains. Sa paume synthétique en AX Suede résistante à l’abrasion, est dotée de nombreux rembourrages Air Gel 3 mm insérés sous une mousse à mémoire de forme de 3 mm aux endroits les plus sollicités (éminence thénar, hypothénar, pouce) pour un confort extrême, et de gel 2 mm au niveau des métacarpiens afin de privilégier la flexion. The XR-LITE is the most multifunctional and lightweight style in the FIVE bicycle Advanced Gloves range. It’s easy to use and effective for a number of different disciplines, from cross-country to downhill, Enduro, or BMX, offering ease of movement without restraint and ultra-precise contact with the handlebars and controls. It enjoys a quick on-off system without a strap, featuring a Pull & Ride tab that allows you to easily adjust its positioning. Wrist support is provided by a slim stretch Neoprene band. The extreme comfort and feeling of lightness of the XR-LITE stem from the use of Polyester Mesh, an stretch material that is ultra-thin, but durable, and perfectly molds to the shape of your hand on its topside, as well as to the use of the new FIVErgo-Fit™ construction with micro-fourchettes (between the fingers), which seeks to optimize fit and freedom of movement for the fingers. The palm, made in AX Suede Cinco, a synthetic suede leather for ultimate comfort, features a silicone print for optimal grip. ROAD Confrontation aux éléments, au relief et à la nature, l’enduro est un sport complet et exigeant, qui peut mettre le pilote dans tous ses états… Il convient donc de bien se ventiler.

L’agressivité du terrain suppose toutefois un minimum de protection. L’ENDURO AIR offre le compromis idéal pour se prémunir des petits accrocs (pierres, branches…) tout en autorisant une circulation efficace de l’air. Nous avons, à cet effet, combiné Micro-Mesh 2:2 et Twill Span sur la surface supérieure du gant pour une ventilation efficace, et y avons ajouté ce qu’il faut de protection à l’aide d’éléments TPR Sonic de 4 mm d’épaisseur sur la main et de 2 mm sur les doigts extérieurs, zone la plus exposée. La paume en cuir suédé synthétique AX Suede DEUCE offre une prise en main idéale des commandes et réduit les risques d’ampoules, sans aucun autre élément ajouté que des points de Silicone Print aux index, majeur et pouce pour un grip optimal aux leviers. Son pouce est revêtu de MicroWipe, un tissu micro-éponge qui permet d’essuyer la transpiration, efficace pour éponger la sueur du front. Et comme en enduro, on peut être amené à utiliser un GPS ou un Smartphone, chacun des index adopte en son extrémité une triple bande de fil conductive Touch Screen permettant de manipuler les écrans tactiles. La fermeture est assurée par une solide pate de serrage Soft TPR + velcro pour un ajustement idéal. Bref, tout y est pour endurer agréablement et durablement.

Facing the elements, high elevation, and nature, Enduro is a demanding, total sport that can potentially push a rider to their limits…Therefore, ventilation becomes crucial. The aggressive nature of the terrain nevertheless calls for at least some protection. The ENDURO AIR offers the ideal combination to protect against small snags (rocks, branches, etc.) while allowing for efficient airflow. For this, we have combined 2.2 MicroMesh and Twill Span on the topside of the glove for effective ventilation and have added just the right amount of protection using 4 mm TPR Sonic elements on the hand and 2 mm on the outside fingers, the most exposed area. The palm in AX Suede DEUCE synthetic suede leather offers impeccable handlebar grip and reduces the risk of blisters, without any other added elements than Silicone Print dots on the index and middle fingers and thumb, for optimal grip on the controls. Its thumb is covered in MicroWipe, a micro-terrycloth fabric that allows you to wipe away any sweat from your brow. And, since in Enduro, you may have to use a GPS or smartphone, each of the index fingers has at its tip a triple band of TouchScreen conductive wire that allows you to handle device screens. Its closure is ensured by a solid Soft TPR + Velcro adjustment flap, for perfect fit. In other words, this glove has everything you need to endure enjoyably, over the long haul.

The thumb covered in Terry Black MicroWipe fabric allows you to easily wipe off your brow after a rough descent. And finally, you can easily activate your GoPro using your smartphone, due to the conductive wire within the thumb and index fingers. The DH protects you without holding you back, from the first to the very last second of your descent.

On peut aborder la pratique de la descente de deux façons. On privilégie le confort au détriment de la protection, ou on opte pour un équipement vraiment protecteur pour se prémunir des blessures.

Avec le DH, FIVE s’adresse à ceux pour qui pratique de la descente rime avec prise de conscience des risques, avec ce gant offrant un niveau de protection exceptionnel, et peut-être jamais vu jusqu’ici en vélo. Fort de son expérience au plus haut niveau en Grand Prix motocross et vitesse, FIVE a développé un gant ultra-protecteur sachant se faire oublier, qui comblera les descendeurs exigeant une précision de pilotage extrême, sans sacrifier à la sécurité. Ce qui caractérise au premier coup d’œil le DH, ce sont ses coques en Polyuréthane ventilées directement héritées de nos gants moto. En descente, l’extérieur de la main est particulièrement exposé. Arbres, rochers sont autant d’éléments contre lesquels la main peut frotter. Voilà pourquoi nous avons doté la tranche de la main de cuir pleine fleur et d’un large panneau de Stretch Kevlar intégrant une coque de protection en Soft PU. Le tout assemblé à l’aide de coutures Kevlar pour une résistance élevée au déchirement. L’extrémité du radius bénéficie d’un padding de gel 2 mm disposé au sein d’un bandeau en Airprene, lui-même de 2 mm, qui assure un excellent maintien du poignet. La patte en Soft TRP et velcro autorise un réglage au millimètre et la languette de tirage facilite l’enfilage. La paume du DH en cuir suédé synthétique AX Suede Cinco dotée d’une impression silicone offre un grip des poignées idéal et une souplesse digne de gants plus fins. Le pouce recouvert de tissu Micro Wipe Terry Black permet de s’éponger aisément le front après une descente engagée. Enfin, vous pourrez facilement actionner votre GoPro à l’aide de votre smartphone grâce au fil conductive dont sont équipés pouce et index. Le DH vous protège sans vous restreindre, de la première à la dernière seconde de descente.

With its major experience at the highest levels of motocross and speed Grand Prix, FIVE has developed an ultra-protective glove that you’ll forget you’re wearing, to the delight of downhill fanatics who demand extreme riding precision, without sacrificing safety. What you notice first about the DH is its ventilated polyurethane shells, which are directly copied from our motorcycle gloves. When riding downhill, the outside of the hand is particularly exposed. Trees and rocks are some of the many elements that your hand can brush against. This is why we’ve placed full-grain leather on the outside of the hand, along with a wide Stretch Kevlar panel that includes a Soft PU protective shell. It’s all held together with Kevlar stitching, for superior tear resistance. The edge of the radius enjoys 2 mm gel padding placed within an Airprene band that measures 2 mm itself, ensuring excellent support for the wrist. The palm in AX Suede Cinco synthetic leather hosts a Kevlar reinforcement, a material that features high abrasion resistance, right at the contact zone with the ground if you fall. This small piece of Kevlar makes all the difference! Silicone print adds the right amount of grip on the palm and the index finger, to help you truly master the controls. The thumb features independent construction from the rest of the glove, for improved fit. The thumb also contains additional reinforcement at the grip contact point. Being able to ride, even when temperatures are close to freezing, is a crucial part of living your passion. Now, you can go ahead and brave the elements: FIVE has leveraged its experience with extreme conditions (cold, rain, speed) in the moto world to offer the ultimate winter cycling glove. The WP-WARM features a breathable, weatherproof Hipora® membrane that stops water from penetrating into the glove, while allowing perspiration to evaporate. Thermal insulation is handled by a Thinsulate™ 80g lining that is sufficiently insulating to limit the effect of low temperatures, while remaining thin enough not to hamper your movements. Comfort is optimized with an internal Bemberg™ lining for the zones that are in contact with the skin. Weatherproofing starts right from the topside construction in Windblock™ fabric. Nighttime visibility isn’t left by the wayside either, with the inclusion of a black reflective 3M™ inset (discreet during the day, visible at night). Protecting yourself from bad weather is a good thing, but protection from blisters or even a bad fall…that’s another story. And so, the palm receives multiple 2 mm gel padding zones concealed underneath 3 mm memory foam, all of which is placed in strategic contact zones with the handlebars…or with the ground. The fourchettes (finger contours) are made in Windblock™ fabric that is thinner than what’s used on the topside, maintaining optimal fit. The closure and support are provided by a soft-touch and Velcro PU adjustment flap. A tab integrated into the structure of the wrist cuff allows for easy on-off. And last, but not least, as long as you use a water-resistant GPS or smartphone, you’ll

be able to handle your touchscreen using the conductive fabric on the end of the index finger. It’s truly practical for homing in on your route, even when it’s raining. WP-WARM: You’ll no longer think of winter as a hindrance to practicing the sport you love.

de jour, visible de nuit). Se protéger contre le mauvais temps, c’est bien, encore faut-il se protéger des ampoules, voire des mauvaises chutes. Aussi la paume de la main reçoit de multiples rembourrages de gel 2 mm dissimulés sous une mousse à mémoire de forme 3 mm, le tout disposé aux zones stratégiques de contact avec le guidon… ou avec le sol. Les fourchettes (ou contour des doigts) sont constituées de tissu Windblock™ plus fin que celui de la zone supérieure, afin de conserver un fitting optimal. La fermeture et le maintien sont assurés par une patte de réglage PU soft touch et velcro. Une languette intégrée à la structure du poignet permet de faciliter l’enfilage. Enfin, à condition d’utiliser un GPS ou smartphone water-resistant, vous pourrez manipuler votre écran tactile grâce au tissu Conductive disposé au bout de l’index. Pratique pour peaufiner votre itinéraire, même sous la pluie. WP-WARM : vous ne considérerez plus l’hiver comme un obstacle à la pratique de votre sport.
