CONTRACT WITH USACE

On April 30, 2024, the U S Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) contacted the SLS Team for a contaminated pipe remediation and soil sampling project under a new GSA agreement With only 18 hours to submit a quote, SLS and sister company Forgen worked overnight to meet the deadline and successfully secured the contract

Within a week, the team and equipment were on-site in Buxton, North Carolina, and the field work was completed in just two weeks and a week before the deadline. This achievement underscores the strong collaboration between SLS and Forgen, operating under the Sullivan Brothers Family of Companies, and solidifies their relationship with USACE.

We are excited to introduce Hayden Fuentes, who is joining our team as the new Regional Manager. Hayden brings a wealth of experience and expertise that will greatly benefit our clients and partners. Hayden holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from the University of New Orleans. His professional journey includes roles such as Project Manager at DRC Emergency Services and Branch Manager at Enterprise Holdings. These positions have equipped him with a strong foundation in leadership, project management, and operational excellence.

In his role as Regional Manager, Hayden will oversee operations, strengthen relationships, drive performance, and ensure that we continue to provide the highest level of service to our clients. We are thrilled to have Hayden on board and look forward to his positive impact on our team and services. Please join us in welcoming him to our organization.

The Comprehensive Modernization Group (CMG) is m Recently, CMG held a series of design workshops to present color and finish ideas to the residents of the Todt Hill houses After gathering feedback, the CMG team has created three apartment designs for the residents to vote on. The goal is to provide improved and renovated homes that truly feel like home to the residents, making their input in the design process integral.

This year's Valero Texas Open, along with the Valero Benefit for Children, raised a record-breaking $24 million, bringing the grand total to $256 million in charitable giving.

The Valero Texas Open raised charitable dollars through a variety of programs, including its pro-am golf tournaments, corporate sponsorships, ticket & concession sales, and the Champions Fore Charity program, in which nonprofit organizations solicit donations with a match from tournament proceeds. Funds were also raised through the Benefit for Children, a fundraising event in which participants enjoyed golf outings across 9 of San Antonio's premiere golf courses or a sporting clays competition, all of which were held the Monday following the Valero Texas Open. Texas International Terminals has supported the Valero Benefit for Children for over five years, helping to support various children's organizations across the nation

VOLUNTEERISM AND COMPANY PARTNERSHIPS SET THE STAGE FOR SUMMER

FORGEN TEAM IN SACRAMENTO VOLUNTEERS FOR REBUILD TOGETHER

Forgen employees volunteered for the Society of Military Engineers Sacramento’s Rebuild Together event where they helped the local community by repairing a home.

FORGEN AND FLATIRON SPONSOR DENVER RIVER CLEANUP

Forgen employees joined together with their joint venture partner, Flatiron Construction, and other Denver residents to revitalize Denver’s South Platte River. They assisted with trash removal, weeding, and re-mulching trees in a local park alongside the river.

FORGEN COMPLETES EMERGENCY RESPONSE PROJECT AS SUBCONTRACTOR TO SISTER COMPANY SLSCO

Forgen, as a subcontractor to sister company SLSCO, was selected through a Basic Ordering Agreement (an agreement set up to allow federal agencies to contract emergency work) to remediate a contaminated pipe and perform soil testing for the United States Army Corps of Engineers Savannah District. Their teams excavated 200 cy of material and removed 100 lf of abandoned fuel pipe, which was causing a strong odor on the beach in Buxton, North Carolina.

Reclamation District 17 (RD-17) Phase III Levee Seepage Repair Project in San Joaquin County was selected for CMAA’s 2024 Project Achievement Award. Jason Brown, Business Development Manager, and Jared Williams, Vice President of Operations, attended the award ceremony in May.
