There are many good reasons to learn something new. Maybe you want to explore your talents as a gardener, photographer, artist or cook; develop skills for a new career or business venture; or improve your English and maths.

Having the right skills and qualifications can make it easier to get a better or higher paid job.

There is a huge range of short, part time and evening courses for adults in venues throughout the Royal Borough of Greenwich, delivered for the Council by organisations like London South East Colleges, Ravensbourne, Hadlow College and Greenwich Cooperative Development Agency.

Flower Skills offer a range of courses in construction skills. These include courses leading to City & Guilds qualifications which run for 2, 3 or 4 weeks. We cover construction skills and construction health and safety – including the CSCS test (card included on some courses).

The Horticulture and Equestrian Skills Centres offer a range of courses aimed at learners who wish to gain new skills, enhance existing skills or make steps towards employment.

Courses are ideal for beginners as full support is on hand from our highly experienced staff.

The Equestrian centre offers both riding and practical hands-on courses with the opportunity to learn to ride in a wellequipped BHS approved training centre.

We also offer one/two day courses to develop horse care skills.

The purpose built Horticulture centre offers a range of practical taster and introduction courses, enabling students to gain new skills to use in their garden or enhance existing knowledge. A large poly tunnel and workshop are amongst the facilities available.
