ARP-8S RICE PRECISION SEEDER Fit Corea has received a new batch of Rice Precision Seeder as stocks, which will also be distributed to our dealers in every region in the Philippines. Mr. Archie and Mr. Arcel are making efforts to unload the machines from the container using a forklift and will transport them to Fit Corea's Warehouse.

This machine provides precise planting without damaging seeds. It features a patented seeding mechanism from Korea with rotation and windmill-type rotating technology.

The Rice Precision Seeder is designed to increase yield through the accurate placement of seeds, maximizing the use of available land and resulting in increased paddy yields.

Proper seed spacing and depth contribute to uniform growth. Additionally, it saves time by automating the planting process, offering efficiency compared to manual methods.

This also enables farmers to cover larger areas more quickly and efficiently.

Fit Corea and Leadstech collaborated to delicately unload and systematically arrange both the tractors and front loaders within the warehouse.

This machine is an implement for a tractor; it loads materials, flattens fields, transports produce, cleans livestock manure, and digs for water retention.

5 in 1 rice mill As the sun sets on the horizon, one of Fit Corea's dealers, Leads Agri, arrives at Fit Corea's Warehouse to pick up the 5-in-1 Rice Mill. Mr. Jeff and Arcel arrange and pull out the machines from the warehouse to transport and load them onto the dealer's truck.

This Rice Mill is very efficient in rice processing, as it integrates multiple functions, including: 1. Rice Bran Separator, 2. Stone Separator, 3. Rice Husk Separator, 4. Impurity Sorter, 5. Adjustable Polisher, All of these functions are incorporated into a single machine, reducing the need for separate equipment.

THE DISCUSSIONS In a strategic move to expand its product offerings and cater to a broader market, Crop Master Enterprise recently made the significant decision to become one of Fit Corea's authorized dealers.

Following the decision, Philip Kim, the President of Fit Corea, took the initiative to personally engage with Crop Master Enterprise in a formal meeting, Philip Kim outlined and explained the terms and conditions associated with becoming an authorized dealer of Fit Corea.

As part of the dealership agreement, Crop Master Enterprise gained access to Fit Corea's latest agricultural machinery models, ensuring that they could offer farmers state-of-the-art equipment tailored to their specific needs. Philip Kim also emphasized the importance of collaborative marketing efforts to promote the adoption of modern agricultural practices facilitated

This Rice Precision Seeder is about to conduct Agricultural Machinery Testing and Evaluation Center (AMTEC)., AMTEC conducts laboratory and field tests to verify machine specifications, performance quality of manufacturers, and the suitability of the machines to local farming conditions. It is the official testing and evaluation arm of the Department of Agriculture (DA).

The Rice Precision Seeder is poised to undergo AMTEC testing in Laguna. The Mechanic Team at Fit Corea has coordinated the schedule, with Mr. Jeff handling the machine loading onto the Forward Truck, together with Mr. Christian and Archie.

Upon arrival, Mr. Archie takes the wheel and operates the Rice Precision Seeder for the AMTEC testing conducted by the engineers of AMTEC-UPLB. Following the AMTEC testing, the Rice Precision Seeder successfully secures AMTEC certification, showcasing its effectiveness and reliability.

In 2023, filled with treasured memories and successful projects, Mr. Philip Kim, the President of Fit Corea, initiated the meeting to discuss what will transpire and outline the upcoming projects in 2024. Philip Kim discussed the goals and aims to sustain and maintain the advancing machinery in the Philippines.

During the meeting, Fillholland expressed his appreciation for the collaborative efforts of Fit Corea in the past year. Filholland acknowledged the successful projects and emphasized the importance of continuing this positive momentum into the coming year. The discussions led to the identification of key areas for future collaboration, including exploring innovative technologies and expanding market reach.

PAGE 19 THE VISIT President Philip Kim of Fit Corea, with his colleagues from Korea, recently visited a farm where an Onion Seeder demonstration had taken place. During the site visit, President Kim and his team shared insights, closely observed the outcomes of the machine's demonstration, and assessed the results several weeks after the initial field demo. The visit aimed to gain a deeper understanding of the technology's practical application and explore potential collaborations or innovations in line with Fit Corea's objectives and PHilMech study.

PHilMech currently studying the Onion Seeder, exploring into its features, functionality, and potential applications. This ongoing research aims to assess the technology's viability and explore its integration into agricultural practices to enhance efficiency and productivity in the cultivation of onions.

OF 10 ROWS, RICE PRECISION SEEDER THE JOURNEY OF 10 ROWS PRECISION SEEDER Following the successful AMTEC testing of the 8 Rows Hopper of the Rice Precision Seeder, the attention now shifts to the 10 Rows Rice Precision Seeder. This advanced machine is a key component of an ongoing project being carefully examined by PhilMech, reflecting a commitment to innovation and progress in agricultural technology.

This 10 Rows Rice Precision Seeder is slated for an actual demonstration and Fit Coreas's Mechanic Mr. Archie will operate the machine. This event not only showcases the cutting-edge features of the machine but also marks a significant step forward in the quest for agricultural excellence.

The main goal of this initiative is to maximize the capabilities of the 10 Rows Rice Precision Seeder.

The ongoing study by PhilMech aims to refine its performance, ensuring that it not only meets but exceeds the expectations of farmers.

The user-friendly nature of the machine is particularly beneficial for our farmers, The thoughtful engineering behind the Rice Precision Seeder empowers farmers to navigate and utilize the equipment seamlessly, contributing to increased productivity and a smoother farming experience.

PHilMech, Koica unveil new Agri machinery Center Filipino farmers and fisher folks have a new reason to celebrate as PHilMech inaugurates its latest center, the Agricultural Machinery Design and Prototyping Center (AMDPC), at its main office in Nueva Ecija on December 7.

The Fit Corea Team, join the celebration as the Koica held a ceremony, Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel, Jr. led the inauguration ceremony of the country’s first Agricultural Machinery Design and Prototyping Center (AMDPC) on December 7, 2023 at the Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PhilMech) in Munoz, Nueva Ecija.

“Through KOICA, the Korean Government supports the agriculture sector of the Philippines by making farmers more competitive and helping them increase their crop yield using top-notch machinery.

PhilMech: Modernizing Farm Technology

During the Ceremony In line with its dedication to supporting Filipino farmers, PHilMech has persistently pursued the distribution of agricultural machines to eligible farmers. Furthermore, several other Korean nationals joined in demonstrating their support for the modernization of farming practices in the Philippines. The Commission on Appointments (CA) confirms Secretary Francisco P. Tiu Laurel Jr. as Secretary of the Department of Agriculture on December 5, 2023.

During the deliberations, Sec. Laurel said that “the goal of feeding 118 million Filipinos is daunting yet achievable with a whole-of-nation approach.”

The agri chief also stressed the need to modernize the long-neglected agriculture sector. ### (Photos by Jay Morales, DA-Comms) Laurel is the first full-time DA secretary under the current administration, as President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. took the helm of the agency for over a year since starting office.

"Makakaasa kayong pananatilihin kong malinis at maayos ang aking panunungkulan bilang kalihim," Laurel told the CA Committee on Agriculture during its deliberations on his ad interim appointment.

Lawmakers highlighted importation and smuggling in the agriculture sector during the panel deliberations as they sought Laurel's proposed measures to address such issues.

Laurel said he has a new intelligence unit already verifying the names of usual suspects of agricultural smuggling.

To increase yield and improve production of rice in the province of Ilocos Norte, Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel, Jr. distributed modern farm equipment and machineries amounting to P73.3 million (M) on December 1, 2023.

The interventions, under the 2023 allocation of the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) Mechanization Program, will benefit 52 farmers’ cooperatives and associations (FCAs), as well as local government units.

Twelve units of rice combine harvester were also turned over as well as walk-behind and riding transplanters, seeders, recirculating dryers, and rice mills.

In addition, coconut FCAs in the province received shared processing facilities to enable them to produce virgin cocout oil and coconut flour. The processing facilities amount to P26.8M.

“Ramdam ko ang sigla at galak ng ating mga magsasaka sa araw na ito sapagkat dala ng Kagawaran ng Pagsasaka at ng DA-PHilMech ang mga biyaya mula sa RCEF Mechanization Program at Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Program (CFIDP)–Shared Processing Facilities,” Laurel said.

Laurel added that he is ready to listen to the voice of the farmers and fishers to harmonize efforts towards a food-secure nation.

NUEVA ECIJA RECIEVES PHP 398.5M RCEF MACHINES On December 7, 2023, PHilMech awarded Php 398.5 million worth of rice production and postproduction technologies to the FY 2023 FCA and LGU beneficiaries in Nueva Ecija held during the Provincial Turnover of Agricultural Machinery and Equipment at the PHilMech Main Office.

Department of Agriculture Sec. Francisco P. Tiu Laurel Jr., PHilMech Dir. IV Dr. Dionisio G. Alvindia, and PHilMech Dir. III Joel V. Dator led the event and officially awarded certificates to 88 FCA and LGU beneficiaries.

True to its commitment to helping Filipino farmers, PHilMech continued with the distribution of agricultural machines to qualified farmers’ cooperatives and associations (FCAs) and local government units (LGUs) through the RCEF Mechanization Program.

Respectively, the beneficiaries received machines including 22 units of hand tractors; five units of four-wheel drive tractors; 9 units of walk-behind transplanters; 21 units of riding-type transplanters; four units of precision rice seeder; 22 units of combine harvesters; 9 units of single pass rice mill; 13 units 6T recirculating dryer; 13 units 12T recirculating dryer; four units 1.5 t/h multi-stage rice mill; two units 2-3 t/h multi-stage rice mill; and one unit 4-5 t/h multi-stage rice mill.

BALBALUNGAO SMALL RESERVOIR IRRIGATION PROJECT

The Balbalungao SRIP will cover 976.2 hectares and benefit 560 farmers. Aside from irrigating farm lands in Lupao, the project will also offer tourism and fishery opportunities to residents of the area.

- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has ordered the Department of Agriculture (DA) and the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) on Wednesday to immediately complete the construction of supporting structures of the Balbalungao small reservoir irrigation project in Nueva Ecija to help cushion the impact of El Nińo.

Speaking during the inauguration of the project, President Marcos stressed that the BSRIP will further improve agricultural productivity in Nueva Ecija, which is also known as the the “Rice Bowl of the Philippines.”

“I also call upon the NIA and the Department of Agriculture to make sure that there is timely completion of the other facilities of the project, such as its hydropower and watershed components, so that communities will be able to fully enjoy the benefits of the project,” he said.

“Anticipating the success of the BSRIP in transforming the province’s lands into thriving hubs of productivity, we remain steadfast in our pursuit of food security, poverty reduction, and economic growth,” he said.

DA-NIA TURNS OVER P776-M EXCAVATORS TO IAS FOR INTENSIFIED LOCAL IRRIGATION, AGRI SYSTEMS

E Z I E E N R R U E T L D U O C M RI G A The National Irrigation Administration (NIA)’s Equipment Refleeting Program kicked into high gear Wednesday, December 13, with the distribution of P776 million worth of excavators to various irrigators’ associations (IA) in the country during turn-over rites at the Naval Supply Depot (NSD) Compound in Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Olongapo City.

The NIA, an attached corporation of the Department of Agriculture (DA), procured 141 units of excavators under the first tranche, specifically: 102 units of 0.5 cubic excavators, 17 units of 1 cubic excavators, 17 units of long arm excavators, and 5 units of amphibious excavators.

With a total budget of P2.59 billion, the Equipment Refleeting Program is divided into three tranches.

For the implementation of the second tranche, more than P782 million was dedicated to the purchase of 138 units of excavators of various models, 28 units of dump trucks, and 17 units of truck-tractors with trailer. Meanwhile, the third and final tranche will entail the procurement of various types of heavy equipment with a funding of over P1.03 billion.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said effective irrigation systems can boost local agricultural production by 30 percent. The 141 units of NIA-procured excavators will also improve the country’s 257 NIS and 10,144 communal irrigation, further increase productivity and profitability of local farmers nationwide.
