New units of LEEHWA 5-in-1 Rice milling and polishing machine arrived early this year. A total of 100 units were delivered on January 13, 2023. LEEHWA Industry Co., Ltd. is one of the oldest yet strongest partners of FIT Corea. They even had a collaborative invention with Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization(PHILMECH) on making a corn mill that is one of the primary crops here in The Philippines. They are also the ones who invented and pioneered the 5-in-1 rice mill which is one of FIT Corea’s top salable machine here in the Philippines.
LEEHWA Industry started the production of rice milling machines that dates way back in the year 1978. At the end of the 1970’s
Korea desperately felt the need for a rice cleaning machine for home use, so it succeeded in developing a small rice cleaning machine under the name of Daepoong Industry.
Today, LEEHWA is one of the most promising brands that farmers trust because of its quality yet affordable price. LEEHWA LH-5001M Gold is one of its best-selling rice milling machinery. Why you may ask? Because of its 5-in-1 functions which are:
1. Impurity Sorter – It separates palay impurities such as Rice straws, leaves, bigger stones, etc.
2. Separate Rice Husk - the husk is a separate outlet with rice bran.
3. Rice Bran separator- the husk and the bran have their separate outlet so you can get fine bran
which you can feed to your pigs, chicken, ducks, etc.
4. Adjustable Polisher - not just your typical polisher. The polisher can be adjusted depending on the grade you want so you can produce semi-milled or well-milled rice.
5. Stoner/Stone Separator - It separates stones from our rice.
Not only just that, but it also comes with a better rice recovery rate of 68% and a head rice recovery of 77%. A rice mill that is reliable and cheap.
We thank LEEHWA Industry Co., Ltd. for trusting our company and partnering with PHILMECH for a new invention that soon will be commercialized.
LEEHWA 5in1 Rice Milling and Polishing Machine’s advantage is it has
3.7kw/hr electricity consumption, putting it in perspective it is only 50 pesos/ hr. Portability, userfriendly, and easier maintenance.
LEEHWA 5in1 Rice Milling and Polishing Machine is user-friendly that it can be used inside the garage, no need to have a bigger space, and it is so quiet that it can operate inside a subdivision. Thank you Brixton Construction & Industrial Supply Corporation for trusting our company!

Mr. Jeff along with his team prepared the regular checkup and charging of the Sundori drones. Batteries are the most essential part of drones. Sundori drones’ batteries should be checked every 2 months to prolong the battery integrity and life. Sundori drones are the FIT Corea’s agricultural drones.
There are 3 varieties of Sundori drones:
Sundori SDR Q-1
Sundori SDR H-1
Sundori SDR A-20
Both SDR Q-1 and H-1 have the same 10L volume capacity for the sprayer. They also have a wide area of effectivity 4-6 meters of spraying width. Q-1 and H-1 can fly with a maximum
payload of 15L. On the other hand, the A-20 is a 6-propeller agricultural drone that has a bigger volume capacity of 20L. With its enormous capacity, it can cover 2 hectares of field when spraying. This drone has also increased in flight time with 25 minutes of flight.
Sundori Drone is a Korean company that created the first generation agricultural drones. It has succeeded in launching products that can be operated easily by anyone, regardless of gender or age, in special environments such as rural areas where young manpower is scarce. Currently, a selfdetermined pattern-based automatic prevention function is provided as standard.Sundori Drone’s strengths are its
quick A/S and service quality. Currently, all farming drones are manufactured in the United States, allowing them to be used safely and quickly respond to problems as they arise.
ATYM 5825R tractor that had been operating for over a year was given an after-sales service by Fit corea service on January 24, 2023 in Sta. Rosa, Nueva Ecija. The maintenance was
done to look for fuel line system clogging, a problem that frequently affects tractor engines. Unclean or clogged fuel filter may then exhaust the engine’s fuel supply, leaving it without power. To prevent contaminants like rust and dirt from getting into the engine and its parts, Fuel filter components are made to do just that.
One of the most frequent signs that the fuel system in the tractor is clogged is the failure of the fuel filter. The fuel may not be able to reach the engine because of this problem. Our skilled mechanics at FIT Corea are capable of identifying and resolving any fuel filter-related problems. In order to please our customers, we work hard to deliver the best service. The
TYM Tractor is made entirely in Korea! It is a full-options tractor that can equip manual and hydraulic-driven implements. The engine emission is Tier 3, which is eco-friendly and causes less pollution while using this tractor compared to others. It is also turbo-charged for more power, especially while working in terrain for pulling or carrying something. It has a 12x12 FxR transmission.
Since there are ready hydraulic ports in front and back, it can equip front and back with implements like loaders, backhoes, rotavators, levee makers, levelers, underground crop harvesters, disc plows, and post hole diggers, among others. It has eight ports in all (4 rear, 4 front).
The Fit Corea Mechanics repaired the TYM tractor 6225C last January 21 in Nueva Ecija. Initial land preparation begins after your last harvest or during the tilled land period. This is important for effective weed control and for enriching the soil. Generally, it will take 3−4 weeks to prepare the field before planting. Mr. Caballero is preparing his 6225C tractor for tillage and land preparation work. Mr. Caballero requested the mechanic to repair and service his machine. So, the mechanics of Fit Corea Trading Phils Inc., Mr. Archie and Mr. Christian,
went to Nueva Ecija to do the general check up and general change oils of of Mr. Caballero’s 6225C tractor machine.
The turbo-charger system, with support from the loss of energy from the engine output fumes, compresses the air entering the engine and more air enters the cylinder. This will cause the engine to burn fuel more efficiently and produce more power.
Mr. Archie also tunes up the engine for the operation of the tractor. This will lead to significant savings in fuel consumption for Mr. Caballero’s tractor.
Mr. Archie together with his team demonstrated the Leehwa 5 in 1 Rice Mill in San Jose, Nueva Ecija. During the demonstration of the machine to the operator, the Fit Corea team showed him how to use it and taught him about the various parts of the machine. The LH 5001MGOLD Rice milling and Polishing machine of LeeHwa company, has been etablished in the Philippines since 2006 and now the leading Rice milling machine in the country nationwide.
One very good reason why it can be profitable is that the mill has a high milling recovery of 68 percent. This means that for
every 100 kilos of palay milled, 68 kilos of polished rice is recovered. This is much higher than the usual milling recovery of other small rice mills that ranges from only 55 to 60 percent.
Wednesday, January 25, 2023, the Fit Corea team traveled to Laguna to participate in the AMTEC testing of the 5825R TYM Tractor. Every agricultural machinery that will be sold on the market has undergone AMTEC testing.
AMTEC or also known as Agricultural Machinery Testing and Evaluation Center is the
premiere and reference testing center of agricultural and fishery machinery in the Philippines.
AMTEC conducts laboratory and field tests to verify machine specifications, performance quality of manufacturers, and the suitability of the machines to local farming conditions. It is the official testing and evaluation arm of the Department of Agriculture (DA).
The TYM 5825R Tractor Bound to Mindanao! Thank you for trusting us and purchasing our TYM 5825R with Wecan Rotavator, PTO Driven Rotating Disc Plow and Hanil Front Loader. TYM 5825R Tractor is a fulloption 4-wheel drive that is made in South Korea. It runs on diesel and a 4-stroke 4-cylinder turbocharged engine. It has 55HP @ 2600 rpm and a 4-wheel drive system with a max forward speed of 27.3kph @ 280rpm. A water-cooling system is installed in the TYM 5825R Tractor for better cooling.
Front Loader is one of the good attachments of the tractor to do the farm works. With a maximum dump angle of 52.7° and a lift height of 2,390mm it gives the maximum performance of the front loader. It has an 1198kg lift
capacity to maximum height at the pivot pin and rollback force of 1355kgf of the Loader Bucket.
Fit Corea Team headed out to deliver TYM tractor 5825R with Wecan Rotavator, PTO Driven Rotating Disc Plow and Hanil Front Loader. Our mechanic, Mr. Archie taught him on the operation and maintenance of the tractor and implements. Mr. Nicolas, the owner also tried the tractor and he found
it easy to use and maneuver.
The Branson Tractor is now tied up with TYM. TYM has acquired Kukje Machinery to bring our shared vision to life and create a brighter future for our customers. As an integrated brand, TYM will provide a wider array of product choices, more in-depth services, and unified support to our partners and customers. staples of Filipinos. Corn-eating communities rely on milled corn for their food needs. During the Covid-19 pandemic, one of the food concerns of the populace is the accessibility of food. Because of travel restrictions and strict health protocols, access to food is limited. To address this situation, the Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PHilMech) is implementing the Covid-19 response project, “Pilot Adaptation of the PHilMechKAMICO Designed Corn mill for Village Level Applications”, led by Engr. Donald Mateo of the Agricultural Mechanization Division. According to Engr. Mateo, corn milling is one of the best option to convert raw corn grains into food form especially in far-flung areas that produce corn. “Introducing the corn mill
technology to the areas known to be corn eating communities increases the probability of food access of a rural population dependent to corn as their food staple,” he said. The village-level corn mill is an offshoot of the technical cooperation between PHilMech and the Korea Agricultural Machinery Industry Cooperative (KAMICO). The PHilMech-KAMICO corn mill can mill 200 kg of corn with an output of 110 kg of corn grits per hour. It can separate the grits from the powder. The grits are uniform in size resulting to improved eating quality of the milled corn. Engr. Mateo added that the villagelevel corn mill is gender friendly. Women can operate it. There are four project sites – Negros Occidental, Saranggani, and Impasug-ong and Kalilangan, Bukidnon. The project sites in Bukidnon are the ones showing
the most potential, according to Engr. Mateo. One of the beneficiaries of the project, the Kibaning Farmer’s Multipurpose Cooperative (KFMPC) from Kalilangan, Bukidnon shared their experiences on the effect of the technology to the cooperative members. The KFMPC, headed by Mr. Elmer Ibcas, relies on the milling services from the town center which costs them transportation and milling fee. These are the common problem that the members face every harvest season. Before, they go to the nearest town center to grind harvested corns. This cost them P50 per kilo for the process. With the technology intervention of PHilMech, this problem is addressed. “Pag tuluyan nang naging maayos ang technology, sobrang tulong ito sa amin. Sa result lang ng bigas mas maganda ito kumpara sa mill sa market.” said KFMPC Manager, Judy Lindero. Before, without the machine, they harvest, mill, then sell to business owners or consume their very own produce. But, with the technology, they can now buy from different farmers, mill, then sell rice in the market. The KFMPC is a rehabilated organization under the leadership of Mr. Ibcas. It was registered in December 2009 with a total of 70 active members. The cooperative focuses on corn, cassava and sugarcane as their means of livelihood.
The Province of Rizal regained its Avian Influenza-Free Status following the Department of Agriculture (DA) Memorandum Circular No. 1 issued by Senior Undersecretary Domingo Panganiban on January 4, 2023.
The declaration is based on Article 10.4.6 of the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) Terrestrial Animal Health Code (2021), which provides that the Avian Influenza free status of a previously free country or zone may be regained.
This is after a minimum period of 28 days after a stamping-out policy has been completed, disinfection of the last affected establishment was carried out, and that consequent surveillance demonstrated the absence of infection.
The DA Regional Field Office, DA Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI), and the local government unit (LGU) jointly conducted disease control measures such as stamping out, cleaning and disinfection, and other quarantine activities to effectively manage the risk of further infection.
The Avian Influenza Protection (AIPP) with Rizal Province yielded negative test results. More than 40 days also elapsed since the end of the clean-up and disinfection operations and surveillance has been

carried out in accordance with the WOAH Terrestrial Animal Code.
Last June 29, July 12, and July 15, 2022, Rizal Province recorded confirmed cases of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) Subtype H5N1 in the Municipality of Rodriguez affecting a commercial chicken layer farm, a backyard free-range chicken farm and a commercial contract grower farm.
To prevent the entry of HPAI virus and protect the local poultry industry, the DA also issued memorandum orders on December 29, 2022 to temporarily ban the importation of domestic and wild birds and poultry products from countries with confirmed AI virus outbreak. The importation of domestic and wild birds and their products, in-
cluding poultry meat, day-old chicks, eggs, and semen, from Poland, Ireland, Denmark, Czech Republic, Chinese Taipei, Ecuador, Moldova, and Peru is banned until the order is revoked.
Undersecretary Panganiban also ordered for the immediate suspension of the processing, evaluation of the application, and issuance of Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) import clearance to the above-stated commodities.
AI is a highly contagious viral disease that affects both domestic and wild birds. HPAI, on the other hand, can cause severe clinical signs and possible high mortality rates especially in domestic poultry.

The Department of Agriculture (DA) continues its intensified measures against agricultural smuggling as the Office of the Assistant Secretary for DA Inspectorate and Enforcement (DA I&E), along with the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and the Bureau of Customs (BOC), successfully seized P78.9 million worth of illegally imported agricultural goods during separate operations at the Manila International Container Port (MICP) from December 2022 to January 2023.
Following tip-offs, the team busted three container vans from Taculog J International Consumer Goods Trading with smuggled fresh red and white onions amounting to P25.3 million on December 27, 2022.
The second operation, which was conducted on January 3, 2023, five containers from Taculog J International Consumer Goods Trading and Hutchison Jardine Trading Corporation yielded P27.8 million worth of contrabands—specifically fresh red and white onions, frozen pork stomach pouch cuts, and
frozen boneless beef shanks. Meanwhile, P23.58 million worth of illegally imported red onions were also discovered in three container vans from Asterzenmed, Inc. during the January 4, 2023 operation.
The latest reported operation, which took place on January 5, 2023, thwarted the unauthorized entry of about P2.2 million worth of fresh carrots found in an Asterzenmed, Inc. container into the country.
DA Assistant Secretary for DA Inspectorate and Enforcement
James Layug confirmed that intelligence operations for ship-
ments under the three offending consignees are ongoing.
The Department is set to take legal charges against the illegal importers for violating the Food Safety Act of 2013 (Republic Act No. 10611) and the Anti-Agricultural Smuggling Act of 2016 (Republic Act No. 10845).
According to the Anti-Agricultural Smuggling Act, large-scale agricultural smuggling occurs when at least P10 million worth of rice or at least P1 million worth of sugar, corn, pork, poultry, garlic, onion, carrots, fish, and cruciferous vegetables—either raw, processed, or preserved—is illegally brought into the country.

Acorn mill that can boost local food security can see commercialization after the completion of its pilot testing in June this year.
“This project supports the attainment of food security for communities that have lands and resources more suitable for growing white corn as their staple. Some parts in the Visayas and Mindanao also prefer milled white corn or white corn mixed with rice, called ‘bugas’ instead of rice, and this project will help ensure their food security,” said Dr. Dionisio Alvindia, PHilMech executive [director IV].
The project “Pilot Adaptation of the PHilMech-KAMICO Designed Corn Mill for Village [Level] Op-
eration” is part of the agency’s Covid-19 response initiative but will have a long-term impact on communities that depend on milled white corn or corn grits for their staple. KAMICO is the Korea Agriculture Machinery Industry Cooperative.
PHilMech is pilot testing the PHilMech-KAMICO corn mill in four sites: two in Bukidnon; and one site each in Saranggani and Negros Occidental.
“The pilot tests will be completed by June 2023, and after that, PHilMech will push for its wider adoption and study its commercialization. So far, the project is proceeding as scheduled,” Alvindia said.
Project leader engineer Donald Mateo said the corn mill, which can be easily transported, was developed by PHilMech and fabricated by KAMICO.
“It can mill 200 kilograms of corn with an output of 110 kilograms of corn grits per hour. It can separate the grits from the powder and is powered by electricity,” Mateo said.
Uniform shapes of grits are mostly produced by the PHilMech-KAMICO Corn Mill, which results in improved eating qualities of the milled corn. Mateo added that the corn mill was also designed in such a way that women can also operate it. The corn mill needs only two people to operate.

Korea will double the annual budget for overseas development grants in the agricultural sector to 500 billion won ($ 401.4 million) by 2027, the agriculture ministry said Tuesday.
The government approved the plan to raise the yearly budget for official development assistance (ODA) grants, which was 246.7 billion won as of 2021. The grants will be used to support recipient
nations' production of rice and other crops and the development of their rural economy, according to the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
Under the plan, Korea will push for various projects that fit the features of each country and make the most of South Korea's strength.
In Africa, South Korea plans to establish what it called a "K-rice
belt" to help strengthen rice production capacity. Korea will help build smart farms and establish advanced systems for agricultural administration and statistics management in Asian nations, according to the ministry.
"The government will explore various projects with international organizations to help overcome global food crisis," the ministry said in a release. (Yonhap)
