Presidential Address

Dear Alumni and Friends, This was a fantastic year for Fisk University, and we remain dedicated to continuous improvement. Our goal is to become the number one HBCU and with your support, we are well on our way. This past year yielded many encouraging developments including innovative academic programming, unprecedented student outcomes and improved financial stability. The leadership team has worked tirelessly on all fronts and we are strongly positioned for this critical accreditation year. We have seen a significant increase in enrollment and with our added programming we are confident that this trend will continue over the coming years. My vision is to reach an enrollment figure of 1,800 to 2,000 students in the next five years. We have implemented new systems to further increase retention and graduation rates, and I am confident that our plans to address the overall infrastructure will have a tremendous impact on these metrics as well. We must provide an experience that matches the very top institutions in the country and to this end, we must address new residence halls as well as a new student union.

Our students and their futures remain our top priority and with your support and our many partnerships, we can provide an unparalleled experience that will attract unique talent from all over the country. The stories of our students never cease to amaze me, and every day reminds me that we are shaping the future of our country. I am hopeful that more exciting news is right around the corner and please know that none of this would be possible without your support. Fisk Forever,
