The hugely popular Hampton Court Palace Food Festival will be returning this August Bank Holiday, giving visitors the opportunity to sample some delectable treats within the palace’s stunning formal gardens.

This year, the Hampton Court Palace Food Festival welcomes more producers and brands than ever before. The grand Tudor Palace will become home to a host of delicious food at visitors’ fingertips, from tempting treats and devilishly, delicious street food, to authentic local fare and international cuisine alike.

Expect a unique Nordic food experience from Scandilicious’ Authentic Scandinavian food truck; plant-based and hand crafted, vegan cheeses from UKs first plant based cheesemongers La Fauxmagerie, award-winning tipples courtesy of Hampton Court Gin, drawing on the Palace’s 500 years of history – and so much more.

Visitors can immerse themseves in Bone Idyll’s Drinks Masterclasses where they can mix up delicious cocktails and learn how to taste hand crafted spirits and discover their new favourite! See what Lexus has in store, as they support the Food Festival once again this year off the back of a collaboration with the UK’s first sake brewery, Kanpai London, in 2021. Stop by for a taste of the Basque Country for a mouth-watering slice of authentic, creamy cheesecake from La Maritxu, or transport your taste buds to a seaside oasis with freshly shucked Oysters from Rossmore Oysters. The bandstand will pump out toe-tapping tunes all weekend courtesy of fan-favourites the Polka Dots and the Estrellas. There will be fun for the kids too with face painting to transform them into a beautiful butterfly or their favourite superhero. Plus, hop on Shire horse carriage rides and experience a slice of royal life or fuel your families’ competitive spirit with a brilliant selection of vintage games before unwinding in the summer sunshine. They’ll take you on a trip down memory lane and provide plenty of amusement too!

Once appetites have been satisfied, visitors are invited to explore the hallways of Hampton Court Palace, the former home of one of history’s most notorious foodies, King Henry VIII! Here, visitors can walk through the Great Hall where the famous king once dined and entertained his guests, then pay a visit to his Kitchens to take in sights and smells transporting them right back to the 1500s. After wandering around the Palace, getting lost in hundreds of years of history, visitors can explore the magnificent grounds – including the world’s oldest puzzle maze, the fun-filled Magic Garden, and the largest grape vine in the world!

Hampton Court Palace admission tickets include free entry to the Food Festival, while Historic Royal Palaces members can enjoy free entry across the sites throughout the year. Find out more and book now at hrpfestivals.com
