Monaco Yacht Show 2026
The Adventure Area Adapts to a New Generation of Tenders
Across the global yachting industry, tenders are no longer viewed simply as practical support craft. They have evolved into highly sophisticated extensions of the superyacht lifestyle itself, reflecting the same expectations for elegance, innovation and seamless onboard living that define today’s luxury vessels. Owners increasingly demand tenders that combine exceptional comfort, advanced autonomy, refined design and multi-functional versatility, transforming them into integral components of the overall yachting experience.
This shift is redefining the role tenders play within the wider superyacht ecosystem and influencing how they are showcased at the industry’s most prestigious events. In response to this evolution, the Monaco Yacht Show 2026 is adapting its presentation format to better reflect the changing dynamics of the market and the elevated expectations of modern yacht owners.
For its 2026 edition, the Show’s renowned Adventure Area will place particular emphasis on a new generation of larger tenders measuring between 15 and 17 metres. These advanced craft now rival smaller yachts in both technical sophistication and onboard amenities, requiring more specialised exhibition conditions that allow their full capabilities to be appreciated. From luxury dayboats and limousine tenders to high-performance exploration craft, this segment represents one of the fastest-evolving areas of

contemporary yacht design.
Located at Quai Antoine Ier, with immediate access to open water, the Adventure Area is being reimagined to include a dedicated onwater presentation environment. Designed to enhance both live demonstrations and the visitor experience, this new setting will provide exhibitors with conditions better aligned to the operational standards and lifestyle positioning of these larger tenders. Guests will have the opportunity to experience the vessels in a more immersive and authentic maritime context, reinforcing the experiential nature of the Show itself.
More broadly, this development reflects the Monaco Yacht Show’s ongoing commitment to aligning its exhibition format with the diversification of the superyacht market and the increasingly personalised ways owners use their assets today. As innovation, performance and on-water mobility continue to shape the future of luxury yachting, the Adventure Area remains a dynamic platform at the forefront of industry evolution.

NOSTALGIA ON WHEELS
Ownership of a classic car continues to thrive
Collecting old things is a British obsession in which the landscape of choice is limitless. There are lots of reasons, but one simple answer to their magnetism is that they’re not made any more.
The nostalgia kick is alive and well, with everyday collectables such as coins, stamps, wine, books and watches on the hoarders radar. And then of course there’s cars.... and not just the toy variety from the likes of Matchbox and Dinky.
Indeed, ownership of a motorcar of yesteryear is one of the most buoyant and valuable collector markets, reflected in an ever-increasing number in use on our roads, bolstered by further thousands resting in private garages across the country, awaiting inveterate tinkering by their passionate owners.
According to the FBHVC (Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs) there are some two million ‘historic’ cars on UK roads, and that’s not counting the burgeoning ‘modern classics’ category that includes cars of the 90’s and 2000’s.
One of the major protagonists on the buoyant classic car market is Historics Auctioneers, today a mecca for those seeking to sell or buy a slice of motoring nostalgia. In its 16-year history, over 12,000 classics have passed across Historics’ auction block at its live auctions staged at major venues including Ascot Racecourse.
Historics’ Head of Auctions, Mathew Priddy, is at heart an enthusiast – something that’s shared by the 28-strong team at their new HQ in Ascot, Berkshire, and all classic car owners.
He explains; “We’re all immersed in the classic car culture. There’s a shared, collaborative enthusiasm, passion and fraternity that underpins classic car ownership, no matter whether you have shallow or deep pockets. Cars change hands for a matter of thousands of pounds to over six figure sums and well beyond.”
Priddy goes on to explain that variety is very much the spice of life too; ”Typically, our auction entry of some 200 classics spans nine decades and over 40 different marques, from the familiar British names such as Austin-Healey, MG and Triumph, through to the more exotic including Aston Martin, Bentley, BMW, Ferrari, Jaguar, MercedesBenz and of course Rolls-Royce.”
The cars that attract the wistful gaze in this
fascinating market are those in immaculate condition but that’s just the icing on the cake according to Priddy.
“The pride and joy of ownership normally means rolling up sleeves and enjoying working on - and beneath - the car, from gentle tinkering to more ambitious DIY. And at the opposite end of the eye-candy concours quality spectrum are cars requiring full restoration, frequently fished out a barn after being untouched for many years.“
Highlighting Historics’ inclusive mantra, Priddy adds that its auctions are very much for learning; “It’s not just about buying. We welcome everyone to come along to an auction and find out more about classic cars, ownership and the unique atmosphere that makes it such a joy to be a part of.”
See historics.co.uk to discover more and for details of Historics upcoming auctions in the Home Counties.

The Berkshire Vineyard worth the journey, and it’s closer than you think
Only 45 minutes from London Paddington, on Church Farm just outside Newbury, All Angels Vineyard is a place that feels like a genuine discovery, although it’s been quietly producing award winning wine for over a decade.
This is a family run, boutique estate, founded by former City lawyer Mark Darley in 2011. All Angels produces small batch, traditionally made English sparkling wine from grapes grown exclusively on their historic Berkshire estate, with far reaching views to the North Wessex Downs. No bought in fruit, no short cuts, just obsessive attention to quality and infinite patience, from vine to bottle as the awards and critical acclaim prove.
The estate opens its doors for guided Tours & Tastings, Private Tours and Corporate Events from April to October, followed by relaxed winter and Christmas tastings. Visitors explore the vineyards with the team, learning about the work involved in producing the finest grapes as well as the history of the estate and its surroundings. During the tasting, you discover what six or more years of lees
ageing actually tastes like: all of the wines are aged well beyond industry standard, giving them depth and complexity.
This includes their recently launched Classic Cuvée 2019, awarded Gold at The Global Sparkling Masters 2026, judged by an elite panel of Masters of Wine. A finely balanced sparkling wine, with fresh acidity - perfect for celebrations and pairing beautifully with canapés, sushi, seafood and goats cheese salad. Limited production means that bottles won’t be around for long.
All Angels is just off J13 on the M4, making it an easily accessible vineyard experience from London.
“I have visited many vineyards and tasted a lot of wine. All Angels is making some of the best sparkling wine in the world, the property is stunning, and the owners could not be more welcoming. Whether novice or geek, you will learn a lot & enjoy it!”
All Angels wines are available to be purchased direct or through fine wine shops including, in London, The Good Wine Shops and Bedford Street Wines.

Surrey’s Enduring Love Affair with RHS Chelsea Flower Show
For more than a century, Surrey has enjoyed a special relationship with the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. While the world’s most famous gardening event takes place in the heart of London, its influence has long stretched across Surrey’s borders, inspiring generations of gardeners, designers, nurseries and horticultural enthusiasts. From grand country estates and celebrated gardens to award-winning growers and landscape designers, Surrey has played a significant role in shaping the horticultural excellence that Chelsea represents.
Part of the attraction lies in geography. Surrey’s proximity to London makes Chelsea easily accessible, allowing local gardeners to visit, gather ideas and bring the latest planting trends back to their own gardens. Yet the connection runs deeper than convenience. The county has a rich horticultural heritage, home to renowned gardens, specialist nurseries and a thriving community of amateur and professional gardeners who view Chelsea as the pinnacle of the gardening calendar.
Each May, Chelsea captures the imagination of Surrey residents. Garden centres report increased interest in plants featured at the show, while local gardening clubs organise visits and discussions around the latest designs. The event often sets the tone for the gardening year ahead, influencing
“Surrey’s proximity to London makes Chelsea easily accessible”
everything from colour palettes and planting schemes to sustainability initiatives and wildlifefriendly gardening practices.
The 2026 RHS Chelsea Flower Show demonstrated why the event continues to hold such appeal. This year’s show highlighted themes of sustainability, biodiversity and naturalistic planting, reflecting the growing concerns of gardeners across Surrey and beyond. Woodlandinspired landscapes, climate-resilient planting and innovative approaches to urban gardening were among the standout trends. These ideas resonate strongly in Surrey, where gardeners increasingly seek to balance beauty with environmental responsibility.
Surrey’s presence among the 2026 RHS Chelsea Flower Show winners was led by Ottershaw Cacti, the specialist Surrey nursery based in Ottershaw. In collaboration with ScanLAB Projects, the exhibitor won the prestigious New Design Award in the Great Pavilion for its innovative display of cacti and succulents. The achievement highlighted Surrey’s continuing contribution to horticultural excellence at Chelsea and demonstrated how the county’s growers remain at the forefront of plant innovation and exhibition design.
Among the major winners was Sarah Eberle’s Campaign to Protect Rural England Garden, “On the Edge”, which was awarded the coveted
RHS Chelsea Garden of the Year and Best in Show title. The garden impressed judges with its powerful interpretation of England’s overlooked landscapes and featured a striking sculpture of a sleeping Mother Earth carved from a fallen tree. The design also received a coveted Gold Medal, cementing its place as one of the defining gardens of the 2026 show.
Other notable winners included Addleshaw Goddard: Flourish in the City, designed by Joe and Laura Carey, which won RHS Chelsea Small Garden of the Year. Ashleigh Aylett’s Woodland Trust: Forgotten Forests Garden was named Best All About Plants Garden, while Katerina Kantalis claimed Best Balcony and Container Garden for A Little Garden of Shared Knowledge. These awardwinning designs showcased the breadth of modern garden design, from compact urban spaces to immersive natural environments.
The show also celebrated innovation. The RHS Environmental Innovation Award went to The Eden Project: Bring Me Sunshine Garden, designed by Harry Holding and Alex Michaelis, recognising its sustainable construction and lowcarbon approach. Meanwhile, the Lady Garden Foundation’s Silent No More Garden earned the Best Construction award among the Show Gardens, highlighting the exceptional craftsmanship behind Chelsea’s most ambitious creations.
Inside the Great Pavilion, exhibitors continued
“Chelsea remains far more than a flower show. It is a source of inspiration, a showcase for horticultural excellence and a celebration of the creativity that continues to define British gardening”
to demonstrate world-class horticultural expertise. The prestigious Best Exhibit in the Great Pavilion award went to Leon Kluge Garden Design for its spectacular display celebrating the flora of South Africa. Sienna Hosta received the President’s Choice Award, and its striking Hosta RED NINJA was crowned RHS Chelsea Plant of the Year 2026. With its distinctive deep red foliage and strong garden performance, the plant captured the attention of both judges and visitors alike.
For Surrey’s gardeners, Chelsea remains far more than a flower show. It is a source of inspiration, a showcase for horticultural excellence and a celebration of the creativity that continues to define British gardening. As the 2026 winners demonstrated, Chelsea is constantly evolving, embracing new ideas while remaining rooted in the traditions that have made it famous. Surrey’s longstanding affection for the event shows no sign of fading, ensuring that the county’s love affair with Chelsea will continue to flourish for many years to come.

Monumental Nature:
Largest-ever outdoor
exhibition of Henry Moore works arrives at Kew Gardens Until Sunday 31 January 2027, Kew Gardens
Kew Gardens is showcasing a oncein-a-generation presentation of artworks by Henry Moore - one of the most influential and internationally recognised artists of the 20th century.
Monumental Nature represents the largest and most comprehensive showcase of Moore’s work to date, featuring 30 works across Kew’s entire 320acre UNESCO World Heritage Site - and inside the iconic Temperate House, the largest surviving Victorian glasshouse in the world.
The largest outdoor exhibition of its kind anywhere in the world, offers a fresh perspective on his lifelong engagement with natural forms and materials, creating new opportunities for visitors to encounter his monumental sculptures alongside Kew’s iconic vistas and historic glasshouses.
Throughout Moore’s career, this connection to nature remained a constant theme, reflected in his ability to transform its complexity and beauty into abstract forms that feel profoundly human. Moore believed that landscapes provided the perfect setting for his sculptures, where the natural architecture of the environment could amplify their visual and emotional impact.
Situating this remarkable body of work
amongst Kew’s heritage landscapes and living collections, the exhibition celebrates a connection to ecology, creating a unique interplay between art and the surrounding landscape. Throughout the run, visitors are encouraged to reflect on how they perceive and interact with the natural world. Works on display includes Large Two Forms, Sheep Piece, Large Reclining Figure, Oval with Points, Reclining Woman: Elbow, Locking Piece and Three-Piece Sculpture: Vertebrae.
Alongside the works across the Gardens, visitors will also be able to enjoy a comprehensive exhibition in Kew’s Shirley Sherwood Gallery of Botanical Art, featuring over 90 works including bronzes, stone and wood carvings, prints and drawings, exploring Moore’s unique process of ‘thinking through nature’.
In addition to the daytime exhibition, several exciting after-hours events see the Temperate House transformed as dusk falls. Running on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th June, and Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th July, these adult-only evenings will celebrate the summer solstice, through performances and artistic encounters across the glasshouse, co-curated with the Working Class Creatives Database.
This new exhibition is presented in partnership with the Henry Moore Foundation. The exhibition is included in a ticket to Kew Gardens via kew.org

Preparing Young People for Life Beyond the Classroom
Education today is about far more than academic results alone. While strong examination outcomes remain important, there is growing recognition that young people must also be equipped with the skills and mindset needed to thrive in an increasingly complex and fast-changing world. Preparing students for life beyond the classroom has become a central focus of modern education.
Critical thinking is one of the most valuable skills students can develop. In a digital age where information is abundant, the ability to analyse, question and evaluate ideas is essential. Encouraging curiosity and independent thought helps young people become confident decisionmakers, capable of navigating challenges both in further education and in their future careers
Equally important is creativity. Whether expressed through the arts, problem-solving or innovation, creativity allows students to approach situations with flexibility and imagination. Education that values creative thinking alongside academic rigour fosters resilience and adaptability – qualities that are increasingly sought after in higher education and the workplace.
“Critical thinking is one of the most valuable skills students can develop. In a digital age where information is abundant, the ability to analyse, question and evaluate ideas is essential”
Communication and collaboration also play a vital role. Learning to articulate ideas clearly, listen to others and work effectively as part of a team prepares students for real-world environments. These skills are developed not only through classroom discussion, but also through group projects, extracurricular activities and community engagement.
Wellbeing has become another key consideration in education. Supporting emotional resilience, self-confidence and balance enables students to perform at their best academically while maintaining a healthy relationship with learning. Schools that prioritise wellbeing help young people develop coping strategies that will serve them long after formal education ends.
Finally, a broader perspective on global citizenship is essential, particularly in a diverse and international city like London. Exposure to different cultures, viewpoints and experiences encourages empathy, open-mindedness and a sense of responsibility beyond one’s immediate surroundings.
By combining academic excellence with personal development, modern education aims to nurture well-rounded individuals who are prepared not only for exams, but for life. In doing so, it empowers young people to step confidently into the future, ready to contribute positively to society and adapt to whatever challenges lie ahead.

COLLAGEN STIMULATION: A Regenerative Answer to Facial Rejuvenation
Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers have long been used to restore facial volume and will also improve the quality of the overlying skin. They remain an effective treatment for age-related volume loss. However, concerns about over-correction and the risk of an “over-filled” appearance have led to increasing interest in treatments that enhance skin quality whilst minimising volume replacement. Such an approach is collagen bio-stimulation with Sculptra®. Sculptra contains Poly-L-Lactic Acid (PLLA) an injectable biocompatible material with a 20yr history of safe medical use. Unlike traditional fillers, PLLA does not simply add volume. Instead, it works by stimulating the body to produce its own collagen, within the dermis.
than an instant volumising treatment, results develop progressively. Improvements typically become noticeable over 6–12 weeks and continue to evolve thereafter. With appropriate patient selection and treatment planning, results can be sustained for up to 24 months.
At the Cosmetic Doctors Company our treatments are individually tailored following a comprehensive consultation that considers skin quality, degree of collagen loss, anatomical factors and aesthetic goals. Most patients require two treatment sessions spaced approximately 4–6 weeks apart, although this is personalised according to need.
Collagen plays a central role in maintaining skin structure, strength and elasticity. From early adulthood, collagen production declines at an estimated rate of around 1% per year. Over time, this contributes to dermal thinning, reduced firmness and the development of fine lines and wrinkles.

Mystic Moods: Inside the Studio of a FabricLed Womenswear Practice
Mystic Moods is a British studio-led fashion brand founded by Alina Stanila, producing limited-run garments in England.
At the centre of the practice is a fabric-led approach — where material, rather than concept, determines how each piece takes form.
Development begins directly with cloth. Fabric is handled, tested, and altered before any garment is defined. Surfaces are painted, layered, or left untouched depending on how they respond. The process is observational — guided by texture, weight, and movement rather than a fixed outcome. What emerges is not designed in advance, but found through interaction.
The studio works through return rather than constant change. The same materials, silhouettes, and techniques are revisited — adjusted slightly each time. This repetition allows garments to be refined gradually, building a consistent visual language without relying on seasonal direction.
Differences appear through subtle shifts in fabric, proportion, and construction.
Garments are developed once the fabric establishes direction.
Structure is introduced with restraint — seams, gathers, and volume are used to guide how the material moves. Construction is treated as a continuation of the textile process, not a separate stage. Each piece is resolved through making, with decisions happening in real time.
Work moves fluidly between stages.
Textile development, pattern cutting, and construction overlap — allowing pieces to be revisited and adjusted as they evolve. There is no strict sequence, only a continuous process of refinement.
This approach allows the collection to build as an ongoing body of work rather than a series of separate releases.
The garments are presented without excess They are worn simply, allowing fabric, form, and movement to remain the focus. Imagery reflects the same approach as the making — quiet, direct, and material-led.
mysticmoods.co.uk
“I work directly with fabric — testing, adjusting, and observing how it responds. Nothing is fully predetermined. Each piece develops through process, becoming something intentional over time.”
— Alina Stanila, Founder
Soft Focus Beauty
2026’s blurred-glamour trend softens perfection into something more modern, flattering and quietly cinematic.
Sharp contour, ultra-defined features and mirror-like finishes are beginning to lose ground in 2026, making way for a softer, more diffused approach to beauty. The emerging trend, known as Soft Focus Beauty, takes inspiration from analogue photography, velvet textures and filtered light – creating makeup that looks polished, flattering and deliberately unfussy.
At its core, the aesthetic is about blur rather than precision. Skin appears smooth but not glossy, colour is gently hazed around the eyes and cheeks, and lips take on a softened, lived-in finish. Rather than striving for crisp definition or high-impact glamour, Soft Focus Beauty embraces dimension that feels atmospheric, wearable and subtly romantic.
The trend draws influence from several directions: the muted glamour of 1990s editorial beauty, the return of matte-but-healthy skin, and
a growing appetite for makeup that performs well both in real life and on camera. In an era shaped by constant digital visibility, heavily sculpted makeup can appear increasingly harsh. Soft Focus Beauty offers an alternative – refined, forgiving and effortlessly photogenic.
Texture is central to the look. Powder products are being reconsidered, not as tools for flattening the complexion but for creating a velvety, lightdiffusing finish. Foundations lean satin or soft matte rather than dewy, gently evening tone while maintaining movement in the skin. Blush is blended broadly across cheeks and temples, creating a natural wash of colour rather than a sharply placed accent.
Eye makeup follows a similar philosophy. Liners are smudged rather than graphic, shadows are softly layered in taupe, rose, cocoa and muted plum tones, and lashes appear defined

without looking overly engineered. Brows remain groomed but slightly relaxed, stepping away from the laminated, overly structured aesthetic that dominated previous seasons.
What makes the trend particularly wearable is its adaptability. Soft Focus Beauty can be pared back for everyday use or intensified for evening without losing its essential softness. A blurred berry lip, softly smoked eye or velvety complexion translates easily from office settings to dinners, events and travel routines. It feels elevated without demanding perfection.
There is also a practical appeal to the aesthetic. Diffused textures tend to be forgiving throughout the day, fading gracefully rather than separating or appearing overly rigid. Application is intuitive: fingers, fluffy brushes and layered creams help create the softly blended effect. The emphasis is not on technical precision but on creating harmony across the face.
Ultimately, Soft Focus Beauty reflects a wider shift in contemporary luxury. Beauty is becoming less about conspicuous transformation and more about atmosphere, texture and ease. In place of overt perfection comes something gentler, more nuanced and arguably more modern. Soft Focus Beauty captures that mood precisely – polished without severity, flattering without excess and unmistakably current.

Glasgow-based eyewear brand IOLLA has launched a seven new sunglasses styles priced at £85 as part of their latest Spring/Summer collection.
The Make The Most campaign is inspired by a familiar British behaviour - when good weather appears, plans change. Commutes get longer, meetings end earlier, and time moves outdoors... often at short notice. Designed for exactly these moments, IOLLA is positioning sunglasses as an everyday essential rather than something reserved for holidays.
To mark the launch, IOLLA introduced a weekend long Frame Amnesty across all UK showrooms. Customers could bring in any old sunglasses, regardless of brand or condition, and receive £10 off a new pair. All donated frames will be recycled, supporting a more sustainable approach to eyewear consumption.
The new collection features seven unisex acetate frames, available in a range of colourways and lens options including polarised and gradient finishes. Designed in Scotland, the range continues IOLLA’s focus on accessible, design-led eyewear.
Shot across Glasgow, the campaign captures small, recognisable moments - leaving work early, heading to the park, taking the long way home. Reflecting the unpredictability of British weather, the shoot continued despite overcast conditionsreinforcing the idea that the best moments aren’t always planned.
“British summer doesn’t wait,” says Kathryn McKerrall, Creative Lead at IOLLA. “When the sun shows up, even briefly, people respond instinctively. This collection is designed to be part of that moment - something you grab without overthinking. iolla.com

TOP THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN DESIGNING A SHOWER SPACE
Want to refresh your shower space but don’t know where to start? With so many styles and options to choose from, it can be hard to know what will work best in your room. Here, Emily Lack, Designer from Ripples, talks through the top things to consider when designing a shower space.
GET SAVVY WITH STORAGE
If room is tight within a shower area, concealed fittings are the perfect choice. By hiding the pipes within the wall cavity, the fittings sit flush to the wall, reducing the possibility of bumping into them when showering and creating a sleek finished look. You can create additional in-shower storage by utilising the void in a stud or false wall to build alcoves for storing shower products, in turn maximising space on the floor. These alcoves can easily become a real design feature, by adding lighting and/or contrasting tiles to inject personality into the space.
CHOOSE THE RIGHT GLASS
Shower glass comes in many shapes and sizes but there’s always an option to suit your space. Firstly,
think about whether you want a shower enclosure or a more open space with a shower screen. If you’re opting for an enclosure, consider which shape will work best, such as pentagonal to utilise the corner of a room or three-sided if you have a bit more space available. If you go for shower glass, think about which style you like, whether that be Crittall-style, fluted or the emerging trend, etched.
GO ECO
Sustainability within bathrooms has never been more important than it is right now and with the cost of living also rising exponentially, it’s important to consider the ways in which you can minimise excess energy and water consumption within the bathroom. One way to reduce water usage is to choose a shower head fitted with a flow restrictor. Luckily, this option doesn’t mean you end up with a substandard shower as each flow restrictor shower has been carefully designed to reduce water consumption but still offer a pleasurable showering experience. Alternatively, you can opt for a technology-led shower which enriches shower water with air droplets, making for an invigorating shower experience.

HUSK, the Bristol-based kitchen makers, have partnered with interior design studio Ro Projects to launch a new collection of painted timber kitchen doors, combining HUSK’s accessible custom kitchen approach with Ro Projects’ artistic exploration of colour.
The collaboration began following a chance meeting in Copenhagen after a design show, where a shared interest in materiality, colour, and craftsmanship led to early conversations about creating a painted door range together. With both studios based in Bristol, the collection was developed through close collaboration, allowing the teams to test tones, finishes, and materials through hands-on sampling and refinement.
The range introduces 11 curated colours designed to work individually or together across a kitchen scheme. Developed through an iterative process of colour testing and adjustment, the palette reflects Ro Projects’ artistic approach to interiors and founder Rosa Roig-Fiol’s work as a practising artist, translated into a practical format suitable for everyday kitchens.
The collection is compatible with IKEA METOD, Howdens, DIY Kitchens, and HUSK cabinetry systems, providing flexibility for a wide range of kitchen projects. The range will be available from March 2026, with lead times
of approximately 8–12 weeks. Prices start from £3,950 for a small kitchen. The collection can be viewed at HUSK’s new Christmas Steps showroom, 9 Christmas Steps, Bristol, BS1 5BS. Photography by Paul Whitbread & Leighton James. Each door is made to order using a moistureresistant MDF core with FSC-certified Crown Ash timber veneer, hand-sprayed in Bristol using a water-based coloured finish. The process allows a subtle wood grain to remain visible through the painted surface, adding natural texture while ensuring durability and a low-impact production method.
“Rosa’s artistic approach to colour brought a new perspective to how we think about painted kitchens. The collaboration allowed us to Speaking about the collaboration, Rosa Roig-Fiol, founder of Ro Projects, says: “Our collaboration with HUSK grew organically from a shared interest in colour and material. Working closely together allowed us to test and refine a palette that feels considered and adaptable to different homes.”
HUSK co-founder Dave Young adds: “Rosa’s artistic approach to colour brought a new perspective to how we think about painted kitchens. The collaboration allowed us to develop a range that feels distinctive while still practical for everyday use.”

Calypso unveils new and refreshed product offerings easy to live with, where each element has been carefully considered without feeling overdesigned.”
The Firova Range - Textured, practical and easy for everyday use
Created with real living in mind, the new offering focuses on balance, coordination and thoughtful design, supporting spaces that are both functional and easy to live with.
“Our Spring/Summer 2026 collection is centred around how bathrooms are used every day,” says Charlotte Tilby, Head of Marketing at Calypso.

The brand new Firova vanity is designed for modern living, offering a bathroom that feels calm, considered and genuinely easy to use. At the heart of the collection is its distinctive fluted woodgrain detailing, embracing the rising trend for textured surfaces in modern bathrooms. The vertical pattern adds subtle depth and quiet rhythm, creating visual interest that feels purposeful rather than purely decorative. This detail elevates the vanity without overwhelming the space, making Firova equally suited to minimalist interiors or warmer, layered schemes.
Available in Tortona Oak and Persian Walnut,
the finishes introduce natural warmth, helping a bathroom feel inviting while remaining firmly in line with flutings growing popularity. Firova’s wall-hung design is central to its modern appeal. Raised from the floor, it frees up space, making cleaning easier and creating a more open feelideal for smaller bathrooms. Storage is intelligently arranged for everyday use, with soft-close drawers, precision-engineered hardware and premium materials ensuring smooth, quiet operation and lasting performance. Designed to integrate seamlessly within a coordinated bathroom, Firova pairs effortlessly with contemporary basins, mirrors and worktops, creating spaces that are functional, considered and inviting.
New
colours & textured finishes for popular ranges
Building on its existing popular collections, Calypso has updated key furniture and finish options to support a more unified and cohesive bathroom design. Woodgrains remain central to creating spaces that feel grounded and livedin: Sienna Oak, a warm, mid-tone woodgrain, now features across the Brecon fitted furniture collection, while a lighter Nordic Oak has been added to Aurelia and Brenta vanities.
New finishes have been extended across the collections, introducing subtle tones to the muchloved Chiltern and Chelworth ranges. Chiltern now features contour soft green, a light, muted tone, and contour porcelain, a warm, understated white. These finishes add depth while maintaining the calm, framed presence the collection is known for. Chelworth is joined by contour blue sage, a gentle grey green that brings softness, character, and balance to the collection.
Coordinated brassware finishes
Calypso has also expanded its brassware offering, with finishes designed to coordinate seamlessly across selected taps, handles and fittings. Reflecting a focus on thoughtful detail, these additions help bring consistency across key touchpoints, creating a more refined and cohesive bathroom scheme.
Two new finishes, Brushed Bronze and Gunmetal, have been introduced, adding depth and versatility to the collection. Brushed Bronze offers a warmer, softer alternative to traditional metallics, bringing a sense of richness and understated elegance, while Gunmetal introduces a deeper, more contemporary tone, ideal for creating
contrast within lighter schemes or enhancing more dramatic interiors.
Accessories to complete the space
Calypso’s collection of mirrors, worktops and complementary accessories has been thoughtfully expanded, introducing new designs alongside refined additions to existing ranges. The Vittoria mirror brings a softly illuminated, arched form to the collection, defined by gentle curves and a quietly refined presence. Alongside this, the Farnese mirrored cabinet is now available in an additional 600mm size, offering greater flexibility when planning different layouts. Retaining its familiar proportions and balanced design, this new size allows Farnese to integrate more seamlessly across a broader range of furniture widths, supporting a consistent and considered look throughout the bathroom.
The introduction of the Breccia Light Marble worktop brings a soft, stone-inspired surface to the range, with a clean, square-edged profile and subtle patterning that suits both contemporary and classic interiors.
Additionally, a selection of basins has also been developed for use with wall-mounted taps, creating a more streamlined and simplified basin area. Designed without a tap hole, these options maintain balanced proportions and refined finishes, helping to create bathrooms that feel coordinated, functional and thoughtfully resolved.

USM HALLER: Every Home’s best friend
The best homes, while having a character of their own, are intentionally organised around the lives, passions, and projects of the people who live within them. They make our favourite pastimes more accessible and daily activities more doable, from family life to plant life. Now, is there a surefire way to ensure that your home achieves the aforementioned? While there is no exact science, may we introduce you to a Swiss one instead?
USM have been solving the problems of the furniture world with the same simple solution
for nearly 65 years: their patented Haller system. Designed by the eponymous Fritz Haller, you can find a use case for USM in just about any walk of life – from multinational office floors to your very first apartment, and every setting in between. Thanks to its near-infinite number of configurations, which can be placed anywhere there are four walls and a ceiling (honestly, even that isn’t really a requirement), it makes short and stylish work of any task given to it. But just in case you can’t picture it, here are five ways the Haller system can instantly upgrade your home experience.
THE CARE-FREE CREATOR:
Crafting something in the comfort of your own home is among the most satisfying activities in the catalogue of hobbies. However, it truly begins with putting together a space that makes making easier – one that optimises your interiors so you can sew, stitch, and create to your heart’s content without worrying about where your next piece of fabric or dab of paint is going to go.
“Good design is made to be shared with the ones you love. As a third-generation family business, it’s something of a specialist subject of ours”
Our first solution on this list? The Haller mobile desk is blessed with places to keep your tools of the trade and castors that let you clear space quickly if you’re working on something that requires a little more room. Match it with a stylish stool, and you have your next workspace ready to roll.
THE DAYTIME DJ:
Vinyl was once a thing of the future, then a thing of the past and now, once again, a thing of the present. The record collection of every music enthusiast is, without a doubt, their pride and joy, so it won’t come as a shock that how it’s stored and displayed is equally important. From grunge gurus to classical aficionados, we need a spot to admire the album art while we listen to those nostalgic notes.
Enter stage right: the Haller sideboard – the perfect place to store those vinyl discs and the turntable they spin on. Like any great duet, vinyl and the Haller system complement each other perfectly: classic style that blends seamlessly with the modern world.
THE EVENING ENTERTAINER:
Good design is made to be shared with the ones you love. As a third-generation family business, it’s something of a specialist subject of ours. The Haller system isn’t just for intimate, solo activities. This configuration is for those who take pride in their home being the place where it all happens for friends and family.
USM’s Bar Trolley brings gatherings and events to life with effortless, portable ease. It’s a rolling serving station that also acts as a movable piece of mid-century design. Whether it’s a platter of pastries or a glass of something to accompany dinner, use the trolley to ensure whatever you need at the table is always close at hand.
HOMELY HORTICULTURIST:
Nature – the greatest architect of them all (with Frank Lloyd Wright a close second). The plants and floral patterns we see in everyday life have been a wellspring of inspiration for designers the world over, and a mainstay of interiors since the time of the ancient Egyptians over 5,000 years ago. In the last decade, there has been an explosion of grow-your-own greenhouses, part of a broader effort to feel closer to gardens in an ever-expanding urban landscape and to bask in the health benefits of a more biophilic home.
USM’s solution for this green-fingered revolution? Just as simple as the Haller system itself: provide a place for plants to cohabit with the furniture they sit on. In simpler terms, create a dedicated gap for plant pots within the design.
THE FAMILY FRIENDLY:
Family-proofing the home – a somewhat unceremonious task. But more importantly (to design geeks like us anyway), an un-stylish one. Does family-friendly furniture have to be so plastic and uninspiring? The same recycled (not in a good way) pastel colours instead of a little personality. Not according to USM. Colour meets practicality in their children’s furniture range.
The best part of choosing Haller for your little ones? The furniture grows as your family does. From a toy box to a desk for revising, the adaptability of the designs makes it the perfect piece to keep adding to as your needs change – all while the effortless style remains the same. chaplins.co.uk

The Hidden Life of Your Carpets - and Why It Matters
Carpets do more than soften footsteps and complete a room – they quietly collect the story of everyday life. From the dust carried in on shoes to the invisible particles drifting through the air, they act as a filter within the home. Over time, however, this role comes at a cost. Beneath their surface, carpets can harbour a complex mix of dirt, allergens, and bacteria that regular cleaning simply cannot reach.
What may appear to be a purely cosmetic concern is, in reality, something far more significant. Poorly maintained carpets can affect the overall hygiene of a living space, contributing to respiratory irritation, allergies, and discomfort. For households seeking a truly clean and healthy environment, surface-level care is rarely enough.
Professional carpet cleaning offers a deeper solution – one that goes beyond what supermarket products and domestic machines can achieve. Using specialised equipment and carefully developed techniques, trained experts are able to lift stubborn dirt and embedded contaminants from deep within the fibres. The transformation is not only visible but tangible, restoring freshness while improving the air you breathe every day.
There is also a quieter, often overlooked benefit:
preservation. Carpets represent a meaningful investment, yet their longevity is constantly threatened by abrasive particles that wear down fibres over time. Without intervention, even highquality carpets can lose their structure, becoming flattened and tired. Regular professional care protects against this gradual deterioration, helping carpets retain their texture, colour, and resilience. Of course, no two surfaces are the same. From delicate upholstery fabrics to robust flooring, each material demands a tailored approach. Understanding these differences is what separates routine cleaning from truly effective care –ensuring every surface is treated with precision, and without risk of damage.
In the end, professional carpet cleaning is not simply about appearance. It is about creating a healthier home, preserving what you own, and maintaining a space that feels as clean as it looks. carpetbird.co.uk

Built to Last, Designed to Impress
There is a particular kind of outdoor building that stops you in your tracks - one where the craftsmanship is immediately apparent, where every joint, every line and every material choice feels considered. These are the buildings that Arbour Bespoke has been quietly delivering across the home counties for the past six years.
Founded by Adrian Hollands, Arbour Bespoke specialises in entirely bespoke garden buildings, outdoor kitchens and oak-frame structures - each one conceived from scratch to suit the client, the plot and the brief. Green oak is at the heart of everything Arbour Bespoke builds - it’s a material that rewards genuine craftsmanship, developing the kind of character that no manufactured alternative can replicate.
The garden room pictured here is a case in point. Clad in contemporary cement board with a generous veranda, dark hardwood floors and full-height aluminium glazing, it sits with quiet confidence in its setting - at once a practical addition to the home and an architectural statement in its own right. Step inside and the same attention to detail continues; every surface and fitting chosen to complement rather than compete.
The same philosophy extends to Arbour Bespoke’s outdoor kitchen and BBQ shelter builds - structures that transform how their owners use and enjoy their outdoor space, season after season. Far removed from the off-the-shelf offerings that dominate the market, each project begins with a conversation and ends with something that could not exist anywhere else.

Oak: Growth. Strength. Endurance.
From its Mid-Wales workshop, Radnor Oak handcrafts beautifully designed oak framed buildings that blend timeless design with enduring strength. Each frame is made using traditional mortice and tenon joints and carefully selected, premium-grade oak - the same uncompromising standards that have defined the company’s reputation since 1990.
The collection showcases timeless oak framed garages and garden buildings, alongside garden rooms, pavilions and additional living grannyannexes, each created for practical use and long-term enjoyment. Every structure reflects the Radnor Oak hallmark of premium, chunky materials and a distinctly British design, rooted in countryside-inspired living.
In addition to their oak buildings, Radnor Oak produce a range of luxury timber garden sheds, built to the same exacting standards. These buildings are designed to be completely maintenance-free, naturally weathering over time while retaining their strength and character - offering a refined and enduring alternative to conventional garden storage.
Completing the collection, Radnor Oak’s premium oak flooring brings the same level of craftsmanship indoors. Each board is selected for its natural character, warmth and durability, creating a finish that sits comfortably within both
traditional and contemporary interiors.
As a family-run business, Radnor Oak is built on generations of craftsmanship and hardearned knowledge passed down through time. Its philosophy is simple: buy once, cry once. This approach is reflected in an uncompromising commitment to quality control, where only the very best materials are selected and a significant proportion rejected if they do not meet exacting standards. Every component is carefully assessed before it reaches the workshop floor, ensuring consistency, strength and longevity across every build.
Across every product, the philosophy remains consistent: to create buildings that are not only beautiful, but built to last. Guided by a commitment to doing things properly, Radnor Oak continues to produce work defined by integrity, precision and enduring quality.

WGSN Colour of the Year 2028:
Radiant Earth
When it comes to colour trends, strength and resilience are in as we look to the future. Amthal Karim, Head of Design at Furniture And Choice comments
“The popularity of earth tones has gained momentum over the past few years, and trend forecasters like WGSN have taken note. These warm, comforting neutrals offer a calming anchor from the chaotic world outside, like a cosy blanket and a cup of tea after a long day.
It’s no surprise that trend forecasters have taken notice, with WGSN x Coloro announcing the Colour of the Year 2028 as Radiant Earth, an earthy, reddish-brown hue. Described as ‘a sophisticated shift towards enduring warmth’, Radiant Earth evokes a soft, matte terracotta feel that soothes yet energises a space.
Radiant Earth’s pigmented texture creates an immersive experience while providing the stability needed for resilience and moving forward. The decision to pick Radiant Earth as the Colour of the Year for 2028 marks a step away from cooler tones that WGSN has previously picked. From Digital Lavender in 2023, Apricot Crush for 2024, Future Dusk for 2025, Transformative Teal for 2026, to Luminous Blue for 2027, Radiant Earth heats up the list with its deep, calming vibe.
In the world of interiors, Radiant Earth can be used as a neutral to ground the room or as an accent colour alongside lighter and cooler neutrals like grey. Its natural qualities bring to mind ceramics and rustic textures, making it a favourite for bohemian decor and rustic interiors, warming up the room with its undertone. Aside from its natural inclinations, Radiant Earth also feels futuristic thanks to its immersive texture, which injects warmth into glossy or chrome textures and metallic finishes.
Thanks to Radiant Earth’s versatility, expect it to be trending across many industries in the coming years. It’s a definite shoo-in for fashion when it comes to knitwear and footwear. Its soft matte texture suits a variety of skin tones and is a good pick for eyeshadow when it comes to the beauty industry. For tech and automobile brands, expect to see more phone covers in this colour or more cars in this stylish matte finish.
Can we predict Radiant Earth’s popularity?
We may be less than two years away from 2028, but expect this warm hue to make its presence known sooner rather than later.”

Linwood introduces Inca, a new printed velvet that reinterprets geometric design with a softer, more expressive hand. Defined by an irregular diamond motif, it brings rhythm and movement to interiors, balancing structure with a more organic sensibility.
Printed onto Linwood’s signature Omega velvet, Inca combines richly layered colour with exceptional practicality. A stain-resistant finish enhances durability, making it suitable for both residential and contract upholstery.
The interplay of complementary tones softens the geometry, creating a fabric that feels decorative yet refined – confident in character, but easy to live with.
Ideal for upholstery, curtains and statement furniture pieces, Inca offers a versatile way to introduce pattern, depth and texture into contemporary interiors.

Working with traditional and newfound materials, we are constantly finding novel ways to innovate, developing sustainable, more ecologically responsible fabrics that are as beautiful as they are practical. Our artistic vision is an individualistic one and so we don’t offer a specific Linwood look: rather, every collection that we produce – be it pleasing small-scale prints or quintessentially English botanicals; informal plain linens or sumptuous printed velvets – is driven by a desire to captivate and delight, bringing a playful, distinctive style to all manner of interiors. linwoodfabric.com

BOLD SHAPES, BRIGHT COLOURS and the return of expressive
Geometric motifs are taking on a new role in interiors, as we see a growing desire for more expressive, optimistic spaces. Bold shapes and vibrant colours are being used to create impact, energy, and a renewed sense of personality at home.
Across both private homes and professional spaces, there is a clear movement towards more immersive and character-driven interiors. Geometric designs, once seen as purely structured and graphic, are now being reinterpreted through a more playful and artistic lens, where colour, scale, and composition take center stage.
“We’re seeing a growing interest in interiors that feel more expressive and uplifting. Geometric patterns bring both structure and creativity, making it easy to transform a space and create a completely new mood,” says Joanna Swanson, Chief Brand Officer at Photowall.
At a time when many are looking for optimism and inspiration in their everyday surroundings, bold geometric motifs offer a powerful way to refresh a space. Whether used in a living room, workspace, or creative environment, these designs introduce movement, rhythm, and visual interest. Rather than replacing more neutral interiors, this trend works alongside them. Geometric designs can act as a focal point, adding contrast and personality while still maintaining a balanced overall look.

Tinker & Tallulah collaborates with Nina Watson Interiors to launch The Jewel Collection
Luxury British lampshade brand Tinker & Tallulah has unveiled The Jewel Collection: a new limited-edition range created in collaboration with interior designer Nina Watson (aka @ArtDecoJewel).
Designed to address a gap often overlooked in the market, the collection brings together heritageinspired pattern, distinctive silhouettes and rich, expressive colour.
The collaboration began with a clear vision. When approached by Tinker & Tallulah, Nina knew immediately that she wanted to create the lampshades she could never quite find – timeless pieces designed to complement layered interiors rather than overpower them.
Drawing on heritage damask patterns, the collection introduces a more contemporary palette of colours that are rarely seen in traditional lampshade design, including deep reds, teals, pinks and golden yellows.
The name of the collection emerged organically during the design process. Seeing the finished designs together for the first time, Nina noted their jewel-like quality, leading to the individual shades being named Ruby, Emerald, Topaz, Citrine and Rose Quartz.
Each lampshade is handmade to order in Tinker & Tallulah’s Nottinghamshire studio with a focus on precision, finish and attention to detail, from pattern placement across seams to the brand’s
signature swishy tassels.
Racheal Millband, co-founder of Tinker & Tallulah, said:
“We’ve long admired Nina’s interiors and the way she designs spaces that feel joyful, soulful and that her clients genuinely love living in.
“From our very first conversation, it was clear she had a strong vision for this collection – she knew exactly what she was looking for, and what was missing in the market. It has been such a pleasure to bring that vision to life together.”
Nina Watson added:
“I’ve always felt that lighting is the jewellery of a room – it’s what brings the atmosphere, the glow, the magic.
“With this collection, I wanted to create the lampshades I’m always searching for in my projects. Pieces that feel right in a layered interior, without shouting over everything else.
“Working with Tinker & Tallulah has been an absolute joy. When I saw the first samples, they were even better than I’d imagined! The finish, the detail, the way each piece glows when the light’s on – it’s the kind of craftsmanship that makes something a forever piece.”
The Jewel Collection is handmade to order, reflecting Tinker & Tallulah’s slow, considered approach to design and production.
The lampshades are available in two sizes: 35cm diameter, ideal for table lamps and pendants (£275), and 45cm diameter, suited to floor lamps and larger pendants (£345).
The collection is available to order now at tinkerandtallulah.co.uk.
“I’ve always felt that lighting is the jewellery of a room – it’s what brings the atmosphere, the glow, the magic.
SUMMER LIVING BRITONS ARE INVESTING IN OUTDOOR POOL AREAS
As warm weather approaches, UK homeowners are increasingly turning their attention to creating ‘pool ready’ spaces at home – whether that’s a full swimming pool, spa-style hot tub area, or simply a garden designed for cooling off and entertaining.
While private pools are often considered a luxury for the rich and famous, the number of people installing pools is on the increase as UK sunshine levels reach record highs each year. Searches for homes with pools have increased by up to 49% since the pandemic (1) and more than a quarter of UK homeowners say a pool is their ultimate home upgrade (2).
According to Quorn Stone, the UK’s leading natural stone and porcelain tile specialist, demand for poolside-inspired spaces has grown significantly, with homeowners prioritising materials that combine practicality with a high-end, resort-style aesthetic.
Says Isabel Fernandez, Director of Quorn Stone: “Even without installing a full pool, homeowners are embracing the look and lifestyle of poolside living, through considered materials
inside and out. Today’s interpretation of a poolready home goes beyond water – it’s about creating a seamless indoor-outdoor flow, spa-like finishes and surfaces that evoke holiday living.
“The key to choosing the right paving and tiles to achieve the pool-ready look is continuity, texture and practicality for the British climate. At Quorn Stone, we have a range of paving and tile solutions to help homeowners achieve that summer poolside look that’s becoming more and more popular.”
Quorn Stone’s collections include a range of porcelain and natural stone options suitable for pool surrounds, patios and spa-style interiors designed to bring a cohesive, indoor-outdoor look to homes. mystonefloor.com
KEY CONSIDERATIONS FOR POOLSIDE PAVING:
• Slip resistance is essential: opt for textured limestone or porcelain
• Light tones reflect heat: ideal for barefoot comfort around pools or hot tubs
• Large-format slabs create a clean, contemporary aesthetic
• Consistency with interiors helps blur boundaries inside and out
• Natural stone adds warmth and texture with natural palettes evoking a Mediterranean look and feel
• Porcelain paving is increasingly popular due to its durability and low maintenance when it comes to cleaning and keeping it algae-free
• Indoor-outdoor flow is the ultimate upgrade: use matching or complementary tiles inside and out to achieve that coveted ‘holiday home’ feeling
