Claridge’s celebrates 100 years of Art Deco as it unveils a yearlong celebration of the Roaring Twenties
To celebrate the centenary of Art Deco this year and the Paris Exhibition of 1925, Claridge’s, London’s Art Deco jewel and favourite haunt of the Bright Young Things, a glittering group from the 1920s, has unveiled a yearlong series of celebratory guest experiences, activations and collaborations, reinforcing the hotel’s position at the heart of this much-loved Roaring Twenties era.
Art Deco adventures throughout the year include Deco tours of the property from Claridge’s renowned archivist, Great Gatsby pre-theatre dinners in Claridge’s Restaurant, Flapper and Hanky Panky cocktails served in original Lalique glassware in The Fumoir, Charleston Masterclasses from The Bees Knees, a decadent Bright Young Things Claridge’s sleepover, as well as a celebration of Cecil Beaton’s Fashionable World at the National Portrait Gallery in October.
The Bright Young Things were the carefree generation of dazzling young aristocrats and socialites who lit up interwar London, and threw lavish fancy dress parties, drank exotic cocktails and whose antics inspired writers from Nancy Mitford to Evelyn Waugh as well as society photographer Cecil Beaton.
Celebrating this extravagant era a century later, Claridge’s has delved deep into its archives to capture the magic of living life as a Bright Young Thing – including:
Claridge’s Art Deco Toursmonthly behind the scenes tours of the hotel from Kate Hudson, Claridge’s renowned archivist. Discover iconic Art Deco historical details such as the Jacques Adnet Deco doves and original Lalique designs personally presented to Claridge’s by Renee Lalique.

The Great Gatsby - pre-theatre dinner in Claridge’s Restaurant – soak up the 1920s vibe and dazzling dishes before heading to the new musical production of The Great Gatsby at The Coliseum.
Claridge’s Archivist, Kate Hudson, comments “To celebrate this Art Deco centenary, we have dug deep into our treasured archives to find rare pieces that create a window that reflects the hotels position at the heart of the Bright Young Things. Here we showcase everything from glorious, rare front covers of Tatler to dance cards and programmes for glamorous balls with deco green and silver designs, hotels brochures and luggage label with geometric Claridge’s logos so evocative of the time.”

TAKE TIME
There is a certain point when the city falls away and Devon starts to seep into a tired soul. It’s almost tangible: heat and clamour, inboxes and admin, give way to not a lot more than fields and sky. Shoulders loosen, heads start to clear and time slows. That point is about two hours and 45 minutes from London Paddington train station.
Tucked into the folds of South Devon, Fowlescombe Farm is a place where birdsong replaces early morning alarms and grey pavements are replaced with wildflowers brushing against your shins. It’s a rare place; not a spa, though there are baths deep enough to disappear into, robes you could live in and yoga beneath (mostly) blue skies. It isn’t quite a hotel, though the linen is immaculate, the breakfast bountiful, the wine list long and the treat of having someone else carry your luggage still promised.
Fowlescombe Farm is something more elemental; a place where wellness comes with mud on your boots and sun on your face. Days here begin slowly, with a barefoot wander in your own patch of garden or a morning check-in with the hens before breakfast. You’ll gather their eggs and eat them in eggs benedict, totally unhurried. But lazy days aren’t for everyone, so there’s adventure in abundance, should you prefer it. Hikes over Dartmoor’s
granite tors, gravel bikes crunching through woodland trails, even catching the odd wave, should the surf report allow. Children disappear on their own adventures: climbing trees and roaming footpaths, pressing flowers, watching dragonflies on the pond, trading tricks with the farm’s resident pups. You’ll eat well, this much is certain. Seasonal, unpretentious, generous, gathered from the gardens and grown on the farm. Much of what we serve, we grow ourselves. What we can’t grow, we source with intention from local producers who think the same way as we do. One evening in The Refectory might see regenerative Shorthorn beef reared slowly in our own fields and served with a tangle of garden herbs; the next, poached halibut and our Executive
Chef Elly Wentworth’s interpretation of broad beans that makes the most of our early summer glut. Simple, sophisticated, but most of all nourishing in a way that reminds you what it feels like to take care of your body from the inside out.
Time is good for the soul. Wellness isn’t prescriptive. To some it means getting windswept on hilltop coastal paths, before piling pink-cheeked into a pub with a hearty lunch menu and plenty of quiet corners to hide in. To others, its planting something with us in the soil and coming back next year to see how it has grown, or heading up to the farm to meet the last calves of the season. To a lot of our guests, wellness just means being given the gift of time to spend an unapologetically long day at the beach, phone delightfully devoid of signal and bags
“When London pulses with that bit too much heat, too many people, too much of everything, we are the antidote”
crammed with a picnic someone else has made for you.
Fowlescombe is easy to get to, but we feel a million miles away from home. That’s the magic of it. In high summer, when London pulses with that bit too much heat, too many people, too much of everything, we are the antidote. A few days are enough to stop time. Enough to remember what silence sounds like, bar the odd bleat of a Manx Loaghtan sheep or the call of our resident barn owl. Enough to breathe and revel in the feeling of having absolutely nowhere to be. So come. Take time. Take a train – we’ll collect you from the station. When you do leave, reluctantly, hopefully a little sun-flushed, maybe muddy but certainly rested, don’t be surprised if you carry a little part of life on the farm back with you. A quieter mind and a renewed appreciation for the land, for all it gives us if we just stop to appreciate it. A reminder that the best kind of luxury begins with simply stopping.

ROALD DAHL SKETCHES SELL FOR ALMOST £24,000 AT AUCTION
By Lucinda Cameron, PA Scotland
Original drawings by Roald Dahl which were found in an envelope have sold for almost £24,000.
The collection of sketches were produced by Dahl in black ball point pen for his memoir, Boy (1984), in which he describes his experience of growing up.
They were found in an envelope marked “Dahl’s drawings & odds and sods”, which belonged to Ian Craig (1944-2023), art director at the author’s publishing firm, Jonathan Cape, in London.
Mr Craig, who died in 2023, created the final illustrations for the book, inspired by Dahl’s drawings.
The sketches were auctioned as part of the production archive from the late Mr Craig’s estate and sold for £23,940 when they went under the hammer at Lyon & Turnbull in Edinburgh on Wednesday.
Dominic Somerville-Brown, Lyon & Turnbull’s rare books & manuscripts specialist, said: “This archive is unique in the Roald Dahl canon – it’s very rare to find material by his own hand.
“This is reflected in the price achieved which also demonstrates the enduring popularity of his children’s stories 35 years after his death.”
Dahl died in 1990 aged 74 and Boy is the only book which he produced illustrations for during his career of almost five decades.
In the book, he writes about his childhood exploits, including playing a prank with his friends on the local sweetshop owner, Mrs Pratchett, by putting a dead mouse in a gobstopper jar.
To accompany the story, Dahl drew a mouse lying on top of the sweets with its legs in the air.
The collection of sketches was bought by a single buyer who wished to remain anonymous.
A collection of rare manuscripts from Kilravock Castle, near Nairn
in Highlands, also went under the hammer on Wednesday.
It included a selection of letters and documents signed by Mary Queen of Scots, her father, James V, son, James VI and I, and mother, Mary of Guise.
The collection sold for £124,614 to a number of different buyers as part of Lyon & Turnbull’s Books & Manuscript auction.
Described as one of the most important collections of historical Scottish manuscripts ever offered for sale, it included a letter from Mary, Queen of Scots to the Laird of Kilravock, appointing him Sheriff for Inverness and dated September 26 1565.
The letter, signed by both the Queen (“Marie R.”) and her then husband, Henry Stewart, Earl of Darnley (“Henry R.”) sold for £15,120.
Another of her letters, again signed jointly by the pair, in which they remove the charge of Inverness Castle from the Laird of Kilravock and give it to the Earl of Huntly, dated October 9 1565, went for £11,340.
A group of five letters from her mother, Mary of Guise, sold for £6,930.
Cathy Tait, head of books & manuscripts at Lyon & Turnbull, said: “We are absolutely delighted with the results of the archive from Kilravock Castle.
“There was a great deal of interest from a wide range of collectors, both private and institutional.”
“The documents sold today comprise a range of very old and important items, illuminating Scotland’s history, and we are pleased that they have found good homes.”
All prices include buyer’s premium.

Hotel Byblos and Hedonic Machines unveil the BYBLOS B00
When two icons of the 70s unite to form a unique creation preserving the DNA of each but with an assumed modernity, a new story begins… a bespoke Porsche 911 Targa tribute to 1970s glamour and modern craftsmanship.
Hotel Byblos, part of the family-owned Floirat Signatures, has partnered with Hedonic Machines, the renowned bespoke automotive atelier known for reimagining classic vehicles with modern sophistication. Together, they have created the Byblos B00, a meticulously restored Porsche 911 Targa (1970-1973), bringing together the legacy of the Riviera’s most emblematic hotel with one of the most recognisable sports cars of its era.
The Byblos B00 by Hedonic is a true symbol of refinement. The car features an eye-catching design, a brushed steel roll cage, and a removable roof that offers a unique blend of a coupe and a convertible. Built around the original early-70s Porsche 911 Targa, the B00 respects the essential DNA of the model: the long bonnet, upright windscreen, and distinctive roll bar remain intact. This foundation has been carefully preserved, both aesthetically and mechanically, forming the basis of a car that feels deeply rooted in its heritage. The bodywork is finished in Porsche’s period-correct Metallic Nachtblau, with brushed aluminium detailing throughout – all hand-finished by specialist metalworkers.
instrument cluster has been replaced with a bespoke digital system styled in the colours of Hotel Byblos, merging clarity with contemporary approach. The vehicle’s sound system, discreetly integrated, is a technical reference to Les Caves du Roy, the hotel’s legendary nightclub.
Underneath, the B00’s engine has been rebuilt and converted to fuel injection, offering greater responsiveness and refined torque delivery. The chassis has also been tuned to ensure precise handling, equally suited to Riviera coastal roads or closed-track conditions.
Her interiors are just as spectacular - with a rich palette of materials used to create a unique atmosphere, including full-grain beige leather and engraved aluminium, as well as subtle custom features, developed by master craftsmen. The original analogue
Serge Heitz, founder of Hedonic Machines says ‘We are thrilled to have partnered with Hotel Byblos in the restoration of this Porsche 911 Targa. Hedonic Machines is renowned for its stories of [re]creation, and bringing these two icons from the 1970s together in the form of a oneof-a-kind vehicle showcases this at its finest.’

INSIDE THE GROVE’S VIBRANT NEW WALLED GARDEN
Tucked away in the Hertfordshire countryside, just 20 minutes from London, The Grove has long been known for offering more than your typical country house retreat. But this summer, the estate’s Walled Garden has undergone a transformation – and it’s fast becoming one of the season’s most talked-about escapes.
Designed with the carefree spirit of summer in mind, the Walled Garden now feels like a destination in itself. At the centre of it all is Ralph’s Beach, a sun-drenched spot where hotel guests can stretch out on a daybed with a cocktail in hand, cool off in the heated outdoor pool, or book in for a treatment at the open-air Sequoia on the Beach spa area. The daybeds – available in Family, Laid-back and Luxury styles – come with thoughtful touches, like snacks, cocktails and a revitalising face spray, bringing a boutique beach club vibe to the countryside.
“Designed with the carefree spirit of summer in mind, the Walled Garden now feels like a destination in itself”
Families will appreciate the new shaded play area that has been added so that younger hotel guests can run around and explore safely while adults lounge poolside or enjoy a bite to eat at Ralph’s – a casual spot serving up salads,
sandwiches, ice cream and other summery snacks.
The Grove has also partnered once again with Everyman for its open-air cinema experience, Everyman in the Garden. Running from 23 July to 7 September, the programme features everything from family favourites to nostalgic classics and rom-coms. Live pre-film performances add a touch of theatre to the experience, while vibrant installations by artist Yinka Ilori MBE provide a colourful visual backdrop.
For those who enjoy dining with a difference, there’s something new on the evening menu too. Skewd, a pop-up restaurant with Anatolian influences, is serving a flavour-packed menu from its corner of the Walled Garden – think lamb shish, honey-glazed goat’s cheese and mini lahmacun, all cooked over fire. A live DJ plays on Friday and Saturday evenings, adding to the sense of laidback celebration.
Whether it’s a midweek escape, a weekend with the family, or a romantic overnight stay, the atmosphere at The Grove this summer feels deliberately unhurried and full of personality. It’s stylish without being stuffy, luxurious yet open to everyone – whether
you’re there for a spa treatment, a swim, a cinema night or just an afternoon in the sun. In a season where we all crave a little more joy and a lot more fresh air, The Grove’s reimagined Walled Garden offers both in generous supply. And being so close to London, it’s the kind of place you can return to again and again. thegrove.co.uk

TICE IN YOUR VEINS
here’s something about an ice-covered landscape that stirs the soul. Vast, remote and untamed, our cold places seem to exist on another plane. Ice travel isn’t simply journeying to frozen climes, its adventuring into the deepest wild, to experience nature in its rawest and most powerful form.
The creak of a shifting glacier, the electric blue of ancient ice and the calls of wildlife create an environment that touches timeless. Sea and land speak of endurance and adaptation, challenging you to go beyond the familiar, to stretch your limits.
Perception of scale changes. Ice sheets stretch to the horizon. Towering icebergs float silently, each a piece of natural history carved by time, wind and water. The silence roars. You pause, watch light dance on the ice, and understand - this is not a place to conquer but to witness. To surrender to beauty unbound by human hands.
These journeys aren’t about ticking boxes or chasing predictable thrills. They are for the curious. For those who want to feel something different. Who long for connection, across time, space and self.
Sail the Drake Passage to Antarctica. Kayak past icebergs and land among thousands of king penguins. Trace Shackleton’s path to South
Georgia, then swap stories in a Falklands pub. Hike Patagonian glaciers, plunge into Alaskan ice caves, snowmobile Svalbard’s frozen fjords. Track polar bears in Hudson Bay, or kayak with whales and muskox in Nunavik. Sail Greenland’s calving fjords and paddle Norway’s Arctic coast.
The ice will speak. In its silence. In its noise. In its overwhelming splendour.
Button up. Gloves on. Go. Lives will be changed.

THE POWDER BYRNE KNOWLEDGE:
What Makes Their Children’s Programmes So Successful?
Looking after children, whether at school, at home, or on holiday, is a serious responsibility. At Powder Byrne, their team has spent the last four decades mastering the art of creating entertaining, safe, and memorable experiences for young travellers. But what truly sets their children’s programmes apart?
A short history of Powder Byrne and their children’s programmes
In the early 1990s, Powder Byrne launched the Yeti Club, a nowiconic children’s ski programme for 4 to 9 year-olds. Designed to be fun, safe, and sociable, it gave British families the freedom to enjoy the Swiss mountains while their children learned to ski with English-speaking instructors, made friends, and explored the slopes under expert guidance.
The Yeti Club’s success led to other programmes, including SnoZone for 10 to 14 year-olds ready to explore the mountain
more independently. Over time, these programmes evolved with the changing needs of families.
Today, Powder Byrne offers a full range of children’s programmes, from 4 months to late teens, tailored to every stage of development.
In the 2024-25 winter season, they introduced Carve to Cruise in Andermatt, blending two successful programmes to create a new path for older teens seeking both progression and independence. Their commitment to outstanding childcare continues in summer.
In the mid-90s, Powder Byrne launched its first summer programme in Provence. That early success laid the foundation for the high standards of care, creativity, and personalised attention that now define their summer offering across Europe.
Powder Byrne’s Ski Programmes
Powder Byrne’s winter offerings stand apart because they are meticulously bespoke, offering everything from private nanny care for the youngest babies to the thrilling adventures teens seek.
Their pb Crèche and Private Nanny services are uniquely built for parents who crave both relaxation and quality time on the slopes. Babies and toddlers enjoy tailored routines, creative play, and outdoor fun, all overseen by qualified creche managers (level 3 UK childcare qualification) and expertly trained assistants.
As the children get older, they enter the iconic Yeti Primer (3-4 years) and Yeti (4-9 years) programmes that balance structured ski instruction with imaginative games and socialising. These programmes offer one of the best child to staff ratios in the Alps, ensuring personal attention and safety as the little ones grow in confidence.
From ages 10 to 14, SnoZone ignites a sense of adventure with action-packed all mountain skiing, tricks, technique development and mountain exploration safely led by a professional team. Older teens transition seamlessly into PB Ski Academy, Carve to Cruise, or Teenage Guiding, where they experience advanced coaching, offpiste techniques, and peer-connected expeditions, always in small, expert-led groups.
What makes these programmes iconic is the progressive journey, each stage builds on the last, thank to expert instruction, and local insight. The Powder Byrne team also provides supervised suppers and direct feedback to the parents daily.
Powder Byrne’s Summer Programmes
While many think of Powder Byrne as a leader in luxury winter travel, their summer programmes in the mountains are just as exceptional. Resorts like Arosa in the Swiss Alps offer children a completely different kind of adventure: one filled with fresh air, forest trails and nature exploration.
In these stunning alpine settings, the pb Crèche continues to provide nurturing care for babies as young as 4 months, while older children dive into the Mountain Scallywags programme, an imaginative mix of nature walks, crafts, cookery, games, and sports, all tailored to their pace and interests.
For older children the PB Mountain Adventure programme offers activities like archery, mountain biking, hiking, and pedalos on the lake. There’s a strong focus on personal achievement and team spirit, with children exploring in safe, professionally guided environments.
In their beachside resorts Powder Byrne favourites include tennis, water sports, and beach games, offering the same summer spirit, authentic adventure, deep connection with nature, and space to grow. These are holidays that nurture, spark independence, and create stories children will tell for years to come.

ARochester Independent College education is grounded in our mission to support students to find their own direction and help them open doors to great universities. We focus on the highest levels of academic success while retaining a creative buzz. RIC is a small school with a personalised approach that has a huge impact on student achievement and self-esteem. Atmospherically relaxed, there’s an emphasis on exam success without unnecessary pressure. It’s a natural stepping-stone between school and university.
RIC students, described by The Good Schools Guide as a “strikingly nice bunch,” voice their opinions and think critically, creatively and independently. The average class size is 8. The mutual respect between teachers and students is palpable. They leave us not only with results that exceed expectations but with empathy and optimism, fluency of thinking, enthusiasm for the future and confidence about themselves and their education. Our top university destination in the last five years is UAL with 28 placements followed by UCL with 20 placements.
The first thing you’ll notice when you visit RIC is that our home is a one-of-akind urban campus at the heart of a designated conservation area. It’s a must-see for prospective families. The historic site, with listed buildings linked by award winning wildlife gardens, has a uniquely warm sense of place in which our diverse community of 425 students and 100 staff study and work. We are home to 180 weekly and full boarders who all live on site. Our campus is designed for forging friendships, creating community and opening up educational opportunities rooted in the natural world. It’s the backdrop for an atmosphere that’s a bit more university or liberal arts college than school: small class sizes; first-name terms with teachers; a campus spirit. Nip through one of our passageways and you’ll find quirk and character, green space and quiet corners.
As we celebrate the fortieth anniversary of the College in 2024-5 we’re committed to maintaining focus on what makes the special alchemy of RIC culture work: an aspirational, informal and creative environment, a commonsensical flexibility of approach and a focus on the individual needs of every student who comes to us.
We look forward to showing you our school.

“It’s hard to imagine better provision for the artistically inclined.” – Good Schools Guide
“Flexibility is the watchword here. Whether you are looking for 1 year GCSE or A level course, the opportunity to retake exams or a chance to focus exclusively on the Creative Arts or preparing for medical school, RIC offers it. Not only that, pupils can start at different points in the school year, into any year group with any subject combination. Class sizes average 8 so the style of teaching leans more towards university tutorials. The personalised attention means excellent results with many securing places at top art colleges, and medical schools as well as Oxford and Cambridge. Everyone is on first-name terms and with no uniform the atmosphere is relaxed, friendly and purposeful.”

GAP YEARS WITH JOHN HALL VENICE
The John Hall Venice Course introduces gap year students to some of the most wonderful aspects of culture. Started in 1965, the programme consists of a week in London, six weeks in Venice, a week in Florence and a week in Rome. The heart of the experience is Venice - to be in the historic and uniquely beautiful city of Venice, living more like a resident than a tourist, is a life-changing experience.
Recent student Eliza had an incredible time, “I really couldn’t recommend the course more highly. Not only are you living in one of the most beautiful cities on earth, but you will look at the world slightly differently after having done it. The breadth and quality of lectures combined with the fact you are there because you have chosen to be - in an age where academia, results and achievement are at the forefront of most young people’s minds - was so liberating to learn for the joy of it.”
The programme includes art, architecture, music, world cinema, literature and global issues, all taught by a team of world-class experts. There are practical classes in studio life drawing, as well as classes in photography, Italian and cookery.
Eliza continues, “Not only will it completely change your perspective on how you see the world around you - and of course art in particular - but it will give you the most special two months and the greatest friends united in this unique experience.”
There are many privileged private visits including one to San Marco in Venice at night and one to the Vatican to include the Sistine Chapel. The incredible
faculty includes brilliant curators, authors, opera directors and art historians.
Alumna Willa described it as “my own version of ‘the Grand Tour’, learning about Titian, Galileo and Puccini started with a total immersion into art, music, sculpture and literature. It began in London’s National Gallery followed by a magical six week stint in Venice, and then a couple of weeks spent hopping from the church campaniles of Florence and Rome.”
The course gives a foretaste of a university style of living and learning. It leaves students with not only some lifelong friendships, but also with a seriously improved CV.

SUMMER FABRICS: COOL AND COMFORTABLE
As temperatures climb, staying cool becomes as much about fabric as it is about fashion. With this in mind, designers at British fashion brand David Nieper recommend choosing pieces crafted from lightweight fabrics that are cool to wear and help you feel beautifully bold and stylish.
Linen remains a perennial summer favourite thanks to its airy weave, while cotton and light cotton blends often offer a lowermaintenance alternative. These natural yarns allow your skin to breathe, keeping you perfectly comfortable when the sun’s out.
Soft jersey, meanwhile, is a fabulous choice for holiday plans, as it resists creasing and can be worn straight from the suitcase. With just the right amount of stretch, it’s the perfect fabric to choose when shopping or exploring the sights.
One of the most versatile pieces to invest in this season is the kaftan — the hero of your holiday wardrobe. Expertly made in fluid cotton-silk or luxuriously smooth jersey, David Nieper’s designers create kaftans that keep you cool and protected, while ensuring you make a statement in striking, exclusive prints. Wear over your swimsuit or as you relax by the pool, then dress up with a belt and jewellery when you head down to dinner.
Dresses in light, natural fabrics are another warm-weather essential. Breathable linen and soft woven cotton styles ensure comfort and help you feel your confident best, in relaxed silhouettes thoughtfully designed to flatter. Discover the full summer collection at david nieper.co.uk
Here’s how to stay stylish and practical in the garden this season.

GARDEN GIRL
JOSIE IRONS IN LIGHTWEIGHT LINEN DRESS
Abeen touted as a latest fashion trend, with highfashion houses like Dior and Hermès having incorporated horticultural features into their runway shows, perfecting your gardening look has never been so pertinent.
Of course, hardy gardeners know that nothing beats wearing the appropriate clothes for comfort, durability and ease of movement, which usually results in an old pair of denim shorts and a T-shirt that predates Tony Blair’s time in office.
But this intertwining of fashion and gardening has stirred up a storm on social media, with influencers showcasing their green thumbs and stylish gardening attire on platforms like TikTok, and even prioritising events like the Chelsea Flower Show over traditional fashion weeks.
So if you’re a style-conscious horticulturist, here’s how to cultivate a great outfit while gardening this summer.
Light in fabric but not in colour “Practicality is key when gardening,” says Cotswold-based gardening and fashion creator Josie Irons, “but there’s nothing wrong with looking and feeling fabulous while you’re tending to your blooms!”
Her go-to is a strappy, lightweight dress, “probably one that’s a few years old and already has a scuff or two on it, but most importantly, one that washes well!”
Know your fabrics and fibres
Fabric matters – especially in high summer.
“Polyester is a no-no,” says Irons, “not only from an environmental point of view but also because it’s not breathable; so you’ll be getting seriously toasty and uncomfortable on hot days.”
While light fabrics are essential, anything too delicate should be avoided, she cautions. “You’ll often find me clambering through rose bushes, so silk is a big no or anything that could pull on thorns.”
White may be a summer favourite, but not in the seed beds. “Even though I love to wear white usually, I’ll avoid lighter colours if I’m sowing seeds or doing any digging,” Irons says.
For something more grounded, she opts for “a pair of olivecoloured linen shorts with an oversized floral blouse and a giant sun hat while I’m sowing and weeding in the kitchen garden.”
Instead, she suggests sticking to the classics, “[I suggest] loose-fitting pieces in natural fibres such as cotton or linen.”
What to wear on your feet
Footwear often falls into the ‘functional’ category when it comes to gardening – but that doesn’t mean style always has to suffer.
“I’m always dashing in and out of the house, so something that I can slip on and off easily is essential at this time of year,” says Irons.
And while she loves to be barefoot in the garden – there’s a good alternative if you want some more protection: “The next best thing are my slip-on Vivobarefoot trainers which are my go-to gardening shoes.”
Barefoot shoes are intended to help with posture and foot health while supporting activity and exercise, which makes them ideal for gardening, Irons says.

FASHION & BEAUTY
A lot lies in the accessories
Spending long days in flowerbeds means sun protection is non-negotiable, but there’s no harm in looking good while staying safe.
“Accessories are essential!” insists Irons, “a billowy blouse over your shoulders offers great protection, while a sun hat and sunglasses will provide comfort and style.”
If you sport your jewellery while doing all odd jobs, there are some pieces you may want to take off.
“I tend to remove any large or detailed rings, or bracelets that get in the way,” says Irons, “but who says you can’t wear your favourite earrings and necklace while gardening?! They won’t get in the way!”
From trug to table
You may not want to head straight from compost to cocktails – but a swift refresh is sometimes all it takes.
“I must say, I tend to do a quick outfit change if I’m transitioning to a lunch or
supper with friends; you simply can’t beat that feeling of a fresh shower after you’ve worked hard in the garden for a few hours,” says Irons.
But if you’re pressed for time, “a quick hair brush, touch of lipstick and adding a few statement pieces of jewellery will easily elevate a gardening outfit to one that works for a lovely luncheon!”
Best brands for the garden
Some brands are better than others when it comes to combining practicality and style.
For Irons, who started her career in fashion but now runs gardening masterclasses, she reaches for country classics like Schoffel, Boden or Holland Cooper – outfits she shares on her TikTok and YouTube channel.
“My lightweight dresses and linen shorts more often than not are affordable options from H&M,” she says, as it’s crucial not to be precious while pottering about in flowerbeds.
Because as any fashionable gardener will know: the best outfits are less about labels and more about what survives a run-in with a rose bush.

The trending prints to wear instead of florals this summer
From the bayadere
stripe to
Seventies
print-clashing
– here are the patterns to wear instead of florals this season.
By Laura Owen
By now, florals are practically synonymous with summer dressing.
But like The Devil Wears Prada’s Miranda Priestly once said, florals aren’t exactly ‘groundbreaking’.
If you’re sick of wearing plain white or ditsy florals and want something less predictable –gingham, polka dots and unusual stripes are big patterns to sport this summer.
But what’s the best way to style them? British designers share their secrets on how you can revive retro prints and wear them well.
Gingham
This Fifties-inspired classic always returns in warm weather, but gingham can walk a fine line between being classic and twee. The trick is knowing where that line is.
“Gingham is such a timeless summer staple,” says fashion designer and podcaster Amanda Wakeley OBE, “but to keep it chic rather than childlike is pretty tough.
“Silhouettes need to be sleeker and stay away from a plethora of ruffles.” She recommends a streamlined top, balanced with grown-up accessories that elevate rather than embellish.
Softer fabrics can definitely help shift the tone when it comes to gingham, as Aspiga’s founder Lucy Macnamara notes, “gingham can feel nostalgic, but the key to keeping it grown-up is all in the silhouette and styling. Look for organic cotton or linen blends in tailored shapes – shirt dresses, wrap blouses, wide-leg trousers.”
Retro vintage
Nostalgic prints are a tricky one – as they can either feel cool and timeless or totally outdated. While the Eighties has made a comeback this year, the Mario Buattainspired chintz hasn’t quite re-entered fashion.
This season the runway has taken inspiration from the Seventies and Eighties rock scene, with animal prints in the form of snake, tiger and cow dominating collections.
“Personally, I love a striking animal print or bold retro,” says Wakeley.
“I have a soft spot for Seventies-inspired motifs – they remind me of my travels in Kenya and India,” says Macnamara.
Worn as a statement piece pared with monochromes in either red, white or butter yellow, animal print is remarkably easy to throw on and look put together.
THE MOST FLATTERING PRINTS
The question of what is ‘flattering’ often crops up when it comes to prints.
While you should wear whichever print you feel best in, some can work better than others.
“Paisleys tend to flatter all shapes,” says Wakeley, “I’d steer clear of overly large, bold prints if you’re feeling body-conscious.
“Smaller-scale prints can create movement and elongation.”
Macnamara agrees, saying that “they draw the eye without overwhelming the frame. Placement is also important – prints concentrated at the hem or sleeve can be really flattering.”
DAMSON MADDER CHLO TROUSERS - RED STIPE, £65.

H&M BROWN TORTOISESHELLPATTERNED SUNGLASSES, £12.99
Polka dots
RIVER ISLAND WHITE SLEEVELESS POLKA DOT MESH TOP, £26
Returning this year as a firm favourite is the polka dot. Loved by the Princess of Wales, last year this playful print dominated the high street with Pretty Woman-inspired mocha dresses.
Once reserved purely for the Sloane ranger, the polka dot has been shaking off its preppy reputation and emerging with more fashion flair, cropping up on the runways of Valentino and Moschino in Eighties-inspired cocktail dresses and Mickey Mouse-sized dots on power-shouldered blazers.
“I adore them in monochrome palettes,” says Wakeley, who favours a dark navy or ivory as a base, “in either medium-sized or small dots is really sophisticated.
“[They] work particularly well printed on chiffons and lightweight fabrics which can be cut with volume and movement which adds an element of romance.”
Macnamara is drawn to understated tones too, “to keep them elegant, I prefer a smaller, scattered dot on a neutral background like cream, navy or soft chocolate,” she says. “A silk blouse or wrap dress in a mini-dot print can feel playful without being overpowering.”
If you’re looking for something more daring, the experts suggest picking fabric or colour when it comes to this print – not both – to avoid looking too gaudy.
Bayadere and organic stripes
Stripes never really go away, but this summer, they’ve loosened up.
“This season, there is a layering of different scales of stripes and a use of more irregular stripes,” says Wakeley. “There’s a wonderful androgyny about wearing stripes – they’re striking, eye-catching, but
HOW TO PRINT CLASH
The resurgence of Seventies-style print clashing can be very cool, but definitely requires a certain level of conviction.
“This is a ‘more is more’ trend,” says Wakeley. “There are no rules – so have fun and just go for it.”
But if you want a slightly more strategic approach, Macnamara says “the trick is to keep the colour palette consistent.
“Soft terracotta, blush, sand […] play with scale – pair a bold, larger print with a finer, more delicate one.”
For the uninitiated, she suggests starting small: “A printed blouse with a patterned scarf or headband can be a subtle way in.”
timeless.”
While the Nineties bayadere stripe is making a comeback, “We’re also seeing more relaxed, irregular hand-drawn stripes which I love for a more artisanal, effortless feel,” says Macnamara.
“The key is to go for colours that lift your skin tone and keep the rest of your look clean and simple.”

SUMMER INTERIOR TRENDS 2025
As summer settles in, it’s not just about holidays and sunshine, it’s about carrying that easy, feel-good energy into everyday life. This season invites us to refresh our spaces with light, warmth, and personal touches that spark joy and surprise. Even the smallest change can shift the mood, bringing a sense of connection and calm. By embracing details that feel meaningful and uplifting, we create interiors that glow with the same laid-back optimism as a golden summer evening, creating spaces that feel alive, comforting, and deeply our own.
AESTHETICS
The 70s Colour Revival
It’s been bubbling away for a while, but this summer is when the interior’s 70s Colour Revival will hit our homes in the most chic, modern way yet. Think mustard yellow, olive green, aubergine purple and brick red, layered in rich, tactile harmony. It’s not about a single pop of colour, but a full-on palette that nods to disco-era nostalgia: record players, soft lighting, and bohemian charm. When woven together, these retro shades don’t just bring warmth, they tell a story. One of freedom, personality, and interiors that feel both lived-in and loved.
Italian Riviera
This summer, channel the charm of the Italian Riviera, whether you’re in Portofino or on your patio. To decoratively embody the essence of the Italian Riviera, focus on summoning a light and airy atmosphere through a gentle palette inspired
by the sea and sky (and a few splashes of gold or yellow to emulate the sun, for the joy factor). Blend lightly washed pastels like seafoam greens, pale corals, and muted terracotta’s with neutrals, natural materials such as timber, wicker, and linen and crisp white, and complement with understated furniture, to create rooms that are both fresh and enduring.
Desert Sundown
We’re galloping into the dusty sunset this summer as the Desert Sundown aesthetic takes over our living rooms and hearts. Think dusky reds, baked ochres, shadowy oranges and sun-kissed yellows, layered with natural textures like clay, honeyed wood, woven fibres and weathered leather. The look is grounded and soulful, embracing organic shapes and a sense of calm, lived-in ease. It’s a collection of colours and textures that nods to a more elemental, grounded way of living – one that embraces raw beauty and simple pleasures.
COLOURS
Cocoa
The natural shade of the moment? It’s dark. It’s edgy. It’s oozing with character. It’s delightfully rich – introducing Cocoa. Deliciously, decadently, darker than its forerunner Mocha Mousse, Cocoa’s chocolatey tones are unbridled and undiluted, drawn straight from the intense, velvety hues of freshly roasted cocoa beans. Cocoa invites calm, grounding your interiors with its enveloping depth. Pair it with pale linens, blonde woods, and bleached textures for contrast and balance. Whether used boldly or as an accent, this indulgent hue creates a cocooning atmosphere that soothes the senses and infuses your home with soulful sophistication.
Asparagus
Asparagus tones are sprouting up this year, filling the home with fresh grassiness as well as a tender side. Asparagus is more vibrant than sage but more placid than forest green, making it refreshing – and flexible. Use it sparingly or boldly: a solo armchair here, a scatter of accents there. Pair with raw woods, woven textures and natural finishes to let its gentle, organic charm shine. Whether as a subtle sprig or a full patch, Asparagus adds a crisp, grounded elegance that connects your space to nature in the most refreshing way.
Ultramarine
“Pair with raw woods, woven textures and natural finishes to let its gentle, organic charm shine”
While Luminous Blue has been declared the Colour of 2027 by trend forecasting service WGSN, a few select brands are already ahead of the curve, dousing their designs in the almost glowing ultramarine shade which bursts with electric energy and it radiates confidence and exuberance. Ultramarine shines brightest when it appears as wisely placed bursts of colour injecting moments of ‘wow’ into a room. Opt for subtle accents – a splash here, a decorative piece over there – to make an impression without overwhelming chaplins.co.uk

TOP DESIGNERS USE LAPICIDA STONE AT WOW!HOUSE 2025
After recently opening a new showroom in the capital, Lapicida is immediately making waves on the London design scene, collaborating with leading interior designers on three projects at WOW!house 2025 and supplying antique stone flooring and bespoke products that elevate each unique space. WOW!house, a major highlight on the international design calendar, has returned to London’s Design Centre for its fourth year, showcasing the absolute best of interior design and creativity through 22 exquisitely curated rooms.
Lapicida’s impressive work at WOW!house includes: a showstopping antique reclaimed stone floor in the entrance hall by Maison Artefact and Cox London; a sculptural solid marble bathtub in the master bathroom by Laura Hammett and Samuel Heath; and a statement limestone Belfast kitchen sink with coordinating surfaces in the kitchen by Ben Pentreath and Lopen Joinery. Each magnificent piece demonstrates the timeless beauty and remarkable versatility of natural stone across a diverse range of interior styles.
“We are delighted to have been chosen to provide our stone and advice on three different projects at WOW!house 2025, and it’s incredible to see how they have been incorporated into each space with remarkably different results,” says Jason Cherrington, director of Lapicida. “Stone is the most versatile of natural products, and it brings a distinct feel to each room; whether that’s a touch of vintage charm through our reclaimed English flag floor, or the ultimate luxury statement from our solid marble bathtub. We congratulate everyone involved with WOW!house on creating such an inspirational event – the effort and attention to detail is remarkable.”
Upon entering WOW!house, guests are warmly greeted by an impactful entrance hall designed by Cox London and Victoria Davar of Maison Artefact. A standout feature is Lapicida’s reclaimed English flagstone flooring with striking wine-red Rosso Levanto marble inserts; rich with character and steeped in history, the antique flagstone tiles echo old-world splendour, grounding the space in timeless elegance and complementing the striking new chandelier from Cox London above.
Designed by multi-award-winning interior designer Laura Hammet in collaboration with Samuel Heath, the bathroom is an ode to the roaring 1920s, with the design exuding joyous glamour and elegance. The eye is immediately drawn toward the showstopping veined San Marino rolltop marble bathtub from Lapicida. The epitome of luxury, the solid marble bathtub complements the dazzling space, which Laura
created to push the limits of modern bathroom design.
Lapicida’s stone also takes centre stage in the beautifully crafted unfitted kitchen, designed by renowned interior designer Ben Pentreath with bespoke cabinetry from Lopen Joinery. A striking oak dresser is a highlight of the space, enhanced by the bold presence of a Birr Black limestone sink and worktop from Lapicida that adds just a dash of contemporary edge to the 19th century-inspired design. On either side of the range cooker, Carrara marble worktops offer luxurious contrast to darker tones of the navy cooker and dark green splashback tiles, whilst adding to the kitchen’s eclectic charm. In the adjoining pantry, a grey honed slate cool shelf offers both practicality and style. The eclectic mix of stones, combined with warm oak joinery, produces a space that feels nostalgic and inviting yet perfect for modern living

THE PSYCHOLOGY OF A FRONT DOOR
Your Home’s First Impression, Redefined
hether bright and bold or subtle and subdued, your front door’s colour makes a powerful statement. It goes far beyond curb appeal, offering a direct clue to the personality of those inside. Every hue tells a story, here’s how to read yours.
Black
A black front door is the epitome of simple elegance and effortless style. It is the one colour guaranteed never to go out of fashion, providing a timeless anchor for your home’s character. This choice reflects a homeowner who appreciates classic design, sophistication, and understated confidence.
Blue
Grey
A deep charcoal or anthracite grey door is the colour of modern strength. It creates a powerful and dramatic entrance that feels both secure and seriously stylish. This homeowner has a commanding presence and values security, discipline, and sophisticated design.
A friendly light blue door is pure optimism in a paint can. It brings a fresh, positive energy to the front of a home and promises a happy, relaxed atmosphere inside. This choice belongs to a homeowner who is sincere, easy-going, and finds joy in the simple things.
White
Alongside black, white is a truly timeless choice that offers effortless charm and grace. It provides a clean and versatile accent that complements virtually any colour of brick or stonework. Ultimately, it creates a clean and classic welcome, promising a space of simple elegance and order just beyond the threshold.
“Alongside black, white is a truly timeless choice that offers effortless charm and grace”
Yellow
A yellow front door is a guaranteed dose of sunshine, even on a cloudy morning. It’s a blast of pure optimism and happiness that radiates a cheerful welcome right from the kerb. This choice belongs to a homeowner with a sunny disposition who loves to share their joy with others.
Red
A red front door makes a bold and powerful statement, immediately creating a feeling of warmth and a hospitable welcome. It’s a colour that commands attention from the street, radiating vibrant energy, passion, and excitement. This choice belongs to a homeowner who is outgoing and optimistic, with a bold character that matches the strength of the colour itself.
Pink
Soft pink is the new neutral for the modern home, offering warmth where grey can feel cool. It’s an unexpectedly sophisticated and chic choice that signals a keen eye for contemporary design. This choice signals a homeowner with a sophisticated eye for design and the confidence to set their own trends.
Green
More than any other colour, green signals growth, ambition, and renewal. It’s a balanced and reassuring choice that suggests new beginnings and a fresh outlook on life. This homeowner is likely generous, focused on personal growth, and always improving their home and themselves.
WHAT TO CONSIDER BEYOND COLOUR
Finding the perfect shade involves more than just your personal taste. The right colour must also harmonise with your home’s unique architecture and the overall character of your street. These final considerations are the key to choosing a shade that both looks good and truly feels right.
ARCHITECTURE
A colour should always work in harmony with the architectural style of your home, from traditional cottages to minimalist new builds. Look for inspiration in existing features like your brickwork or window frames to find a complementary shade that creates a cohesive look.
ENVIRONMENT
Consider the overall feel of your street and decide if your goal is to seamlessly blend in or to carve out your own unique space. If making a confident statement is your aim, then a bold, vibrant colour is the most direct and impactful way to showcase your home’s personality.
DIRECTION
The very same paint colour can look dramatically different depending on the quality and direction of the natural light it receives. A north-facing door in cool, indirect light will make a shade appear darker, while a south-facing door in bright sun can make it seem much lighter and more intense. tikkurila.co.uk

SEVENOAKS HOUSE
Situated in the idyllic and highly desirable town of Sevenoaks, this fivebed replacement dwelling provided our design studio with a unique canvas on which to build.
Our replacement dwelling, designed closely with our client’s needs and preferences in mind, is a continuation of the local country home design philosophy, but with a distinctive, modern approach.
The proposal
The metropolitan greenbelt is a cherished location and a welcome break from the claustrophobia of London’s urban landscape. When designing this house, we wanted the architecture to complement the greenery around it, rather than overpower and dominate the land. Working within the rules and regulations of the greenbelt, we proposed a home that adds value to the local area, whilst affecting the local environment as little as possible.
and encourage quieter moments surrounded by nature.
The bottom floor of the building is a partial basement. To reduce the footprint of the construction and ensure that this new abode doesn’t break the natural shape of the surrounding land, we designed the bottom floor in such a way that it is built into the landscape itself. To add, the roof was also designed to be flat, to ensure that the silhouette of the house is as inoffensive as possible.
“By exploiting the natural characteristics of the site with our carefully considered strategies, the proposal demonstrates a clear reduction of built form in the landscape, enhancing the existing character of the site”
A unique character and a perfect stage for unforgettable moments. This latest project from our architectural design studio has been an exercise in reinterpreting traditional architecture and bringing it to the new millennium. The material palette chosen for this project is one made primarily of marble and limestone. These natural materials echo the stately homes dotted nearby in style and longevity.
The building in its entirety is filled with character and provides the perfect backdrop for our client’s day-to-day lives. The openplan layout accompanied by the skybox, infinity pool and frequent placement of windows immerses the building into nature as one continuous, unobtrusive structure, without sacrificing the privacy of its inhabitants. Many of the rooms were tailored with privacy as a focus. The bedrooms, en-suites, cinema and music room allow for total privacy from the outside world if wanted.
In our build proposal, the building is described as a ‘contemporary replacement dwelling providing a very high-quality design, suitable for modern living standards as well as capitalizing on the nature of the site.’
To achieve our proposed goals, we first changed the orientation of the home. This change has compounding benefits; not only does this rotation allow the home owners to enjoy the natural beauty of the local woodland, but also the economic and comfort benefits of passive solar heating. Further to this, a sky lounge and external roof terrace was added to the third storey of the construction to enable
Our design studio worked hard to produce an end result that is both versatile and breathtakingly beautiful. This new home is a wonderful addition to Sevenoaks and will accompany the silhouette of this picturesque landscape for many years to come.

Spending time in Green Space
The garden is an important part of the any home fortunate enough to have one. Traditionally the transition between the inside and rear garden was marked by utilitarian structures like outdoor toilets or garden sheds. However, most modern homeowners are keen to improve this relationship and blur the threshold between the house and garden.
Research has shown that spending time in green space or bringing plants and greenery into your everyday life can benefit both your mental health and physical wellbeing.
We approach our design work holistically and consider both the garden and house from the beginning of our process. We often consider the outdoor space to be an additional room to the house that has the potential to be better inhabited.
At our Walled Garden project we designed a garden that would be beautiful to look at but would also define ‘moments’ within it. We proposed lush foliage, ornamental grasses and ferns that could withstand the South facing aspect and equally thrive in the dappled light beneath the canopies of established trees beyond
the property. Within this garden space, two different seating areas are defined; one level with the internal living room and can be used as a public space for entertaining and another further back, more private. These are separated by a wildlife pond and path interwoven within the planting, creating moments for pause and contemplation.
We proposed a new dining space at our Suppertime project which was conceived as a ‘thread’ connecting the various spaces through which it passes. The concept echoes a ‘street party’ style of dining, where the table shifts and extends when needed, rather than being defined by a dedicated dining ‘room’. This hard working new addition allows the family to be flexible with supper clubs spilling into the kitchen and the garden when extra space is needed.
At our studio we are in the unique position to offer both architectural services and garden design. We work together with our clients to provide planting lists that include year round interest and develop maintenance plans. We revisit to help with the first season of maintenance in order to establish the garden and give it the best conditions in which to thrive. nimtim.co.uk

AN ARCHITECTURE OF PLACE
‘Changing someone’s life through the careful deployment of steel, brick, slate and glass is no mean feat, but that is precisely what has been achieved at Shire End West, just outside Lyme Regis.’
These were the words the RIBA jury panel chose to describe Rak architecture’s multi award-winning project in Lyme Regis which picked up two awards at this year’s 2025 RIBA Wessex awards.
The founding director of Rak architecture, Robert Keefe, originally trained as a sculptor and painter and who describes himself as ‘rather falling into architecture’, describes the house as a piece of creative conservation.
‘Our client’s brief was to ‘fix all the problems with our quirky old house without losing its magic, so that we would feel joy every time we arrived home!’
The wonderful sea views were a given, but the architects also wanted to create a home which ‘looked up to the vast southwest skies, a home which offered character and contrast with sunny spaces, which were tempered by fireside shady spaces’. The house evolved from a series of moments and special views rather than a single ‘big idea’. The real breakthrough came when we
discovered evidence of an old mono-pitch scullery that once sat next to the listed building. The design settled around the idea of weaving the client’s brief in with a reincarnation of this former historic structure.
Rak architecture also wanted to find a way of bringing the wonderful craft and character of the original slate-clad Grade II listed home into the space.
‘A home made of ‘real materials’ rather than acres of plasterboard’.
In addition to creating a beautiful home, Rak were determined to see how far they could push the sustainable agenda for a listed building. Reducing the future energy consumption was a key aspiration for the client.
The practice discovered that using local sheep’s wool as insulation within the historic timber frame allowed the building to continue to breathe and could be introduced safely as part of the re-slating. This in turn avoided damage to the timber frame or internal finishes.
The significantly improved thermal performance was supported with a discreet
PV array located on nearby land and combined with controlled winter solar gain and summer solar control, the house was able to halve its energy consumption.
“Rak architecture do not have a house style, each project is as unique as each site and client”
The resulting building has won three awards to date, including the two RIBA winners’ awards and the 2024 Buildit award for Best Architect for an Extension and it is also shortlisted for further RIBA National awards to be announced later this year. The house has also featured in Dorset Greener Homes action week and The Times on Sunday Best Homes.
Rak architecture do not have a house style, each project is as unique as each site and client.
‘We have an approach which I would describe as ‘Client, Place and Sustainability and mostly in that order’
The use of discreet low-carbon and sustainable ideas and technologies are themes which run through all of the projects. Their recently completed stunning home on Hayling Island, called Northshore, is entirely heated with a ground source heat pump that utilises ‘free heat’ from deep within the ground. The house also uses a ventilation system which circulates fresh air whilst recovering heat from the process. These active technologies are combined with high levels of insulation and large areas of wildflower green roof planting.
Whilst all of the projects could be described as contemporary, the work also often incorporates traditional materials and craft.
‘With Shire End we were keen to celebrate the natural pattern making that comes from the material palette of fish-scale tiles, brick and lead’.
The helical curved staircase which corkscrews through the three levels of Northshore was quite literally pivotal to the building and the design of the stair was meticulously modelled in 3D before it was constructed from huge sheets of curved steel plate.
‘We love the process of making and working with craftsmen and builders and we pride ourselves on the fact that we get many recommendations from builders as well as previous clients’.
Projects currently on the Rak drawing board include a (second) underground house in Islington, London, a sustainable low energy self-build family home called Stonebarrow Lodge, near Charmouth and several refurbishments and extensions to a variety of listed homes in Dorset and Hampshire.

When considering a home renovation or a new build, homeowners are often torn between hiring a traditional architect or opting for a design and build company like NU Projects of Fulham. While both options have their merits, there are compelling reasons to choose a design and build firm for your next project.
One of the key advantages of working with a design and build company like NU Projects is the seamless integration of design and construction under one roof. In a traditional setup, the architect designs the project, and then a separate contractor is hired to execute the build. This can lead to miscommunication, delays, and unexpected costs as the two parties navigate differing interpretations of the plans.
With a design and build company, the entire process is handled by a single team, ensuring that everyone is on the same page from start to finish. This not only streamlines the workflow but also minimises the risk of costly errors and changes during the construction phase. Another significant benefit is the cost-efficiency of the design and build model. NU Projects, for instance, provides clients with a comprehensive quote early in the process, which includes both design and construction costs. This transparency allows homeowners to manage their budget more effectively and avoid the common pitfalls of underestimating the total project cost. In contrast, traditional architects might not provide a full picture of the construction expenses upfront, leading to potential budget overruns.
“Transforming Visions into Reality with Seamless Design and
Furthermore, NU Projects offers a tailored, client-focused approach that combines creative design with practical solutions. Their team is not only skilled in architectural design but also deeply knowledgeable about the building process, local regulations, and the latest construction techniques. This holistic expertise ensures that the final result is not only aesthetically pleasing but also structurally sound and compliant with all necessary standards.
In conclusion, choosing a design and build company like NU Projects of Fulham offers homeowners a more integrated, costeffective, and hassle-free experience. With a single point of contact and a unified vision from start to finish, the journey from concept to completion is smoother, more efficient, and ultimately more satisfying.
