The fundraising initiative brings together many well-known names who will be sharing some great Christmas ideas as well as a Grand Auction of original, bespoke items which have been created specially to help raise money for the charity. Karen explains: “The Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust is a critical emergency service for the region and if you’ve ever lived, worked or holidayed there you will know the important role it plays in saving hundreds of lives every year. Now more than ever they need our help for essential equipment and to keep the Helicopter flying, which is why we’ve created this initiative and, long term, we’ve committed one per cent of all UK sales.” As well as her charity plans, Karen’s aim is to expand the reach of Comitti into new markets. GIVING HIGH VALUE GIFTS THIS YEAR?
What you need to know
Christmas is just around the corner, and whilst for the vast majority of people, the gifts they make at Christmas are very unlikely to have any tax consequences, if you are thinking of making substantial gifts, it is possible that some tax concerns may arise.
O
f course tax is probably one of the last things on our minds at Christmas, other than the nagging voice in the back of some of our heads reminding us to file our Tax Returns by 31st January…. However if you are considering making significant gifts, tax is an angle which shouldn’t be overlooked. Where substantial gifts are concerned, we need to consider potential Inheritance Tax (IHT) and Capital Gains Tax (CGT) implications. As far as IHT is concerned, there are a number of reliefs and exemptions, but perhaps most useful in the context of Christmas, is the £3,000 annual IHT exemption. This exemption means that you can give away cash or assets up to the value of £3,000 each year, without any IHT implications. If you haven’t used the previous year’s exemption, then that can be used too. So that’s the basic IHT covered, but what about CGT? Well thankfully, CGT doesn’t come into play where the gift is cash, or where a new item is purchased and gifted to the recipient before its value has had a chance to change, and this should cover the vast majority of Christmas gifts. If however, you are gifting perhaps a family heirloom, the value of which may well have changed since you acquired it, then a potential capital gain or maybe even a capital loss could occur. As with IHT, there is also an annual exemption
20 DECEMBER 2020
for CGT, which is currently £12,300 for individuals, in addition to a number of other exemptions which apply to particular circumstances. Any gains falling into this annual exemption are currently exempt from Capital Gains Tax, but is important to note that capital gains can still arise on assets which are gifted rather than sold. Finally, Christmas is also a time when we think of others, and many people will make charitable gifts. Where an individual who pays tax at 40% or 45% makes a charitable donation, tax relief at that individual’s highest marginal rate should be available. Basic rate (20%) taxpayers do not receive any fiscal benefit from making a Gift Aid donation, but if the donor doesn’t pay tax, then a tax charge is likely to arise as a result of making one. It is therefore worth couples considering which of them should make the donation so that both you and the charity benefit from it. If you are considering making substantial gifts in excess of the £3,000 exemption this year, then it might be a good idea to take some professional advice, particularly if these gifts are part of a strategy to reduce an estate for IHT. Estate planning, and the making of gifts is a complex area, however our specialists would be happy to have an initial no cost, no obligation meeting with you to determine whether your situation might benefit from some professional advice.
Finally, Christmas is also a time when we think of others, and many people will make charitable gifts THE DETAILS Scrutton Bland Contact Faye Howard, Tax Partner at hello@scruttonbland.co.uk or tel 0330 058 6559 www scruttonbland.co.uk Scrutton Bland Financial Services Ltd is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority

bigger! Set against the striking backdrop of the Queen’s House, visitors have the opportunity to skate in the beautiful surrounds of a UNESCO World Heritage site and the elegant grounds of Royal Museums Greenwich. Enjoy unbeatable views of the River Thames as you glide (or wobble) your way around the only outdoor ice rink in south London this Christmas. What better treat is there than to skate in front of the ‘House of delight’ built especially for James I’s Queen? New measures have been introduced this year to make sure that everybody can enjoy the ice rink safely. There are hygiene standards fit for royalty, with enhanced cleaning regimes and hand washing sanitation facilities available. Meanwhile
staggered skate sessions will ensure fewer people on the ice at any one time. All visitors must follow all government social distancing guidelines and the wearing of a mask whilst on the rink and in the skate exchange or any other indoor area. For those who prefer to chill out off the ice, you can soak up the beautiful surroundings of Greenwich Park, take in the spectacular views across London and enjoy a hot chocolate and a choice of snacks while watching the skaters. If you want to make a day of it, there is so much more to see and do - from visiting the award-winning Cutty Sark, seeing the iconic Armada portrait in the Queen’s House, learning about the origins of time at the Royal Observatory and exploring the collection at the National Maritime Museum. The beautiful Greenwich market is only two minutes away for Christmas shopping. With easy transport links, Greenwich is just eight minutes from London Bridge, or arrive by boat along the River Thames.
ABOUT THE QUEEN’S HOUSE The 17th century Queen’s House, designed by Inigo Jones, was the first Classical building in England – it is known for its perfectly proportioned Great Hall, original marble floor and beautiful Tulip staircase. Part of Royal Museums Greenwich, the Queen’s House has Scheduled Monument status as it is a building of unique architectural importance.

The Queen’s House is part of Royal Museums Greenwich which also incorporates the National Maritime Museum, the Royal Observatory Greenwich and Cutty Sark. This unique collection of museums and heritage buildings, which form a key part of the Maritime Greenwich UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a major centre of education and research. The mission of Royal Museums Greenwich is to enrich people’s understanding of the sea, the exploration of space, and Britain’s role in world history. For more information visit rmg.co.uk

FOCUS ON 11+
An ‘Oak-Tree education’ has become a desirable choice for many families across Essex and North East London.
T
he Oak-Tree Group, comprised of Braeside, Coopersale Hall, Normanhurst and Oaklands all in the Epping Forest area, is known for having schools with small, nurturing environments, outstanding education, personalised service, dedicated teachers and extensive facilities. At this time of year, the focus is very much on those looking to sit the 11+ exam for entry into Year 7 at the Group’s two all-through schools. Braeside is a smaller school that offers a personalised education for girls in Buckhurst Hill, and Normanhurst is a mixed school that offers a two-form entry from Year 7 upwards in North Chingford. Both take children from 2½ to 16. Braeside has recently undergone a number of additional developments and refurbishments that have already enhanced the opportunities on offer for pupils of all ages. When attending the recent virtual Open Events, families were impressed with the personalised education and more tailored approach to lessons. The GCSE classes are far smaller than in other schools, and this allows the staff to dedicate more focussed support and time to each individual. Normanhurst has benefitted in a huge surge of demand from parents not only in its immediate area, but also slightly further afield from areas such as Woodford, Chigwell, Buckhurst Hill and Loughton. With registrations for the 11+ exam growing daily, families clearly understand the importance of choosing the right school for their children and often comment on the extensive, broad education
30 DECEMBER 2020
and excellent exam preparation for GCSEs. So why are places in the seniors at the Oak-Tree Schools in such demand? There are many reasons, including: • A wide range of subjects within a varied and challenging curriculum. • Extensive wraparound care including a host of exciting extra-curricular activities that complement the curriculum. • Specialist facilities including Science labs, ICT suites, Art/Design Technology studios and Music studios. • Access to a wide range of sporting opportunities with regular use of impressive local sporting facilities such as the Lee Valley Athletics Centre. • Excellent preparation for GCSE with high expectations from staff. • A reputation for having excellent success rates at GCSE. At Braeside in 2020, nearly half the grades were at 7, 8 or 9, and 96% were passes at grade 4 or above. At Normanhurst, half of the grades were at 7, 8 and 9 and 99% were passes. • Access to a variety of options for further education beyond Year 11, with successful applications to local Sixth Forms and Colleges. For those interested in taking the 11+ at either Braeside or Normanhurst, parents are required to register through the websites. Several partscholarships are awarded annually as a result following the examination and interview process. These are in areas such as Art, Drama, Music and Sport as well as for academic achievement.
At this time of year, the focus is very much on those looking to sit the 11+ exam for entry into Year 7 at the Group’s two allthrough schools.
11+ Entrance Exams are held at both Braeside and Normanhurst on Tuesday 19 January with 13+ Exams held on Wednesday 10 March. Papers are in Maths including problem solving and English including SPAG. Girls who sit the 11+ or 13+ examinations can be considered for a place at both Braeside and Normanhurst by indicating their preference when registering. Introducing Linden Leaf
L
inden Leaf is a new distillery in Cambridge that has only been selling spirits for just over a year but has already picked up a huge range of top awards. Founded by three Cambridge scientists and engineers who share a passion for food and drink, they make organic spirits which are crafted and tuned at the molecular level.
1 83 2N O ER 0 2 02 0 2 0 DVEECMEBM B E2 R
Applying their scientific backgrounds, they use a clever piece of kit called GC-MS to analyse botanicals and work out exactly what molecules make each taste and smell. They then use a special chilled extraction method to pull exactly the molecules they want from each botanical. Combined with their passion for ingredients and flavour, they’ve discovered some amazing flavours.
Above: A bottle of Linden Leaf ’s prize-winning 88 Organic Molecular gin in their cocktail test kitchen. Opposite, clockwise from top: Some of the amazing botanicals that Linden Leaf uses to make their spirits; Mukund and Paul, two of the founders of Linden Leaf, working in the laboratory on amazing new flavours; Linden Leaf ’s new sustainable Cocktail Elements garnishes.
THE DETAILS Linden Leaf ’s spirits are available from their own website lindenleaf.co.uk where you can use the discount code WINTER2020 to get free shipping until 31 January 2021. They are also available through leading online retailers including Twisted Cellar: twistedcellar.co.uk Hipflask: hipflask.shop “We hunt locally and globally for the best conventional spices, herbs and fruit: from dried juniper berries to fresh Buddha’s hand lemons. We also try just about anything else we can think of. How about oak moss? Walnut husks? Seaweed? Sprouting potatoes?” says Dr Matthew Webster, one of the three founders. “All of our products meet the stringent requirements for organic certification by the Soil Association. We believe in supporting organic farmers and producers: not only because of their ideals but also because they often make the highest quality produce.” Their spirits have won top prizes across the board this year, including prestigious gold awards in the major London, Tokyo and San Francisco competitions. Away from pure drinks competitions, they received two of the coveted, three star awards in the Great Taste Awards this year. Their 88 gin uses 28 different botanicals, giving a layered perfume and an immensely long flavour profile: heady high notes of lemon zest and blossoms, through middle notes of pine and juniper and finally a warm, rich base of berries and citrus peppers, with hints of winter spice. Even their Singularity vodka is special, with a clean flavour and smooth silky mouthfeel. “We studied how alcohol and water interact at a molecular level. Carefully-selected organic alcohol is blended with a unique mineral water using an exacting method to produce Singularity. The smoothest vodka known to science? We think so.” says Matthew. This summer, they introduced a new, sustainable
range of garnishes, called Cocktail Elements – initially in Lemon, Lime and Orange but with many more in the works. These are are organic sprays made with only two ingredients: the freshest produce and carefully-selected organic alcohol. They deliver a hyper-concentrated burst of flavour and fragrance to cocktails. These were initially introduced to help bars reduce wastage while delivering the best in peak season garnish flavour throughout the year. “Our production techniques extract every drop of scent and flavour from each fruit. For example, just 3 lemons can produce a spray that can garnish over 80 drinks.” explains Matthew. “Try a spritz of lemon on an ice-cold dry Martini. Perhaps some lime on your favourite G&T? How about a spray of orange on a perfectly- balanced Old Fashioned, or topping off an unforgettable Aperol spritz?” It’s great to see a small company applying technology and new approached to make such tasty products.

A
nticipated to be one of the stand-out shows of the spring and not to be missed, the world’s largest touring exhibition of Banksy Artworks is coming to London. For the very first time, the UK will host an array of unique pieces from the mysterious political activist, satirist and artist, who has spent most of the last three decades anonymously tagging the streets of the world. This globally acclaimed showcase features original and authenticated works associated with, arguably, the most intriguing and talked-about artist in modern history. On display are prints, canvasses, screen prints, sculptures, unique works and limited-edition pieces mainly dated between the years 1997 to 2008, the period which resulted in Banksy’s most recognisable and well-known works. On loan from private collectors across the globe, the colossal collection includes authenticated and certified Banksy artworks rarely seen in public, alongside iconic favourites such as HMV Dog and Girl and Balloon. Infamous prints, sculptures and limited editions will be scattered across a vast 12,000 square foot space in the heart of Covent Garden. From Tel Aviv to Toronto, from Melbourne to Miami, the exhibition has welcomed over 750,000
visitors worldwide. Following Banksy’s Show me the Monet artwork collecting over £7.5m at auction, public intrigue around one of the most talked-about artists of the 21st century seems to only be increasing. Decades of rumours continue as to the identity of this world record-breaking artist. Although The Art of Banksy is not authorised or curated in collaboration with the artist himself, international specialist in the Street Art Genre, Chris Ford, successfully steps up as curator. Chris was instrumental in developing the commercial rise of Banksy’s artwork in the secondary market, successfully placing multi-million pound works into prestigious international collections. THE END OF THE ROAD FOR
TYRE PUNCTURES An Essex businessman has spent £2million developing a revolutionary puncture-proof bike tyre “Competitors have tried to copy our formula but our materials and ingredients have remained secret and we are years ahead of anyone else in this field.” The tyre was developed in South Korea by a father and son team who make lightweight durable sports soles for global sports brand Nike. Dubbed the ‘tyre for life’, the design is 100% puncture-proof, capable of riding over thorns, nails, potholes and even broken glass. Walia, from Chigwell in Essex, added: “Nothing can deflate you more than suffering a puncture halfway between work and home on a wet, freezing morning in mid-November. “With a bit of luck, half an hour later drenched from head to foot, you might make it into the office looking like a drowned rat. But there is really no need to suffer that anymore.”
J
azz Walia, who is CEO and shares the worldwide rights for Tannus tyres, says having a flat is really a thing of the past. And he claims his tyres can be ridden for at least 5,000 miles without being changed. Tannus has already sold over 2 million tyres worldwide but while specialist bike riders know all about the product, most weekend cyclists and commuters do not. One of the company’s best sellers is the Tannus Armour insert, designed with offroaders and mountain bikers in mind, its super strength inner tube uses Aither technology to allow for increased grip in wet conditions and when riding over loose rock. Walia, who has been involved in the cycle industry for 20 years, has been dubbed “King” of the airless tyres by rivals. He said:” For safety reasons alone this is an absolute no brainer, customers will never have to deal with a puncture in the dark or a blowout in the middle of rush hour ever again. “We have spent years perfecting this tyre and I can honestly say it does what it says on the tin.

Wellness with Origin Ending the year in a positive way and looking ahead to 2021
“Health is a state of body, wellness is a state of mind”
W
ellness and swimming are often mentioned together, but what does wellness mean? Wellness is the act of practicing healthy habits on a daily basis to achieve better physical and mental health, it ensures that instead of just surviving, you’re thriving. Swimming is an amazing form of exercise and self care that should become a healthy habit more people pick up, it’s great for your mental health and is able to improve quality of sleep and reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression. At Origin we believe owning a pool is about more than the pool itself, by adding a spa, sauna or yoga room your swimming pool and pool house could be a centre of wellness. If you’re looking to increase family time, your pool house could become a new social hub for everyone to enjoy by adding a gym, lounge area or 58 DECEMBER 2020
even a bar. Whilst jumping in can seem daunting, making the decision can bring measurable benefits. A new pool from Origin provides new ways of having fun, whether that’s spending precious time together as a family or making the idea of a staycation more appealing. Swimming remains one of the most popular activities across the country, with its physical and mental health benefits exceeding expectation. The movement of water over your body creates a massaging sensation which encourages you to relax, just being in water increases blood flow to the brain, boosting your brain health, releasing endorphins and increasing your overall mood. In fact, a SwimEngland study found that those who swim regularly felt on average 12 years younger than those that don’t. If you’re concerned about the environmental impact of the pool or simply want to lower running costs, eco models are available. The ‘EcoSwim’ range incorporates the very latest building materials for energy efficiency and provides you with a host of options to lessen your carbon
footprint. There are plenty of small changes you can make that can have a big impact, many of them saving you money in the future. Whether you want to add an insulated pool cover or air source heat pumps, Origin will work with you to create the pool you want. After all, wellness is important for our planet too. But why Origin? It’s simple, we do it all. Building swimming pools is a specialised field, it’s unlike any other building project and requires a holistic approach with all the key elements working together from the beginning. At Origin, we eliminate the need to employ separate companies by managing the whole process for
you, from concept to completion. Access to a pool right on your doorstep means it’s easy to swim and exercise everyday in the privacy and safety of your own home. We’ve been building award winning swimming pools for over 40 years and in that time we have successfully completed thousands of pools and pool houses to a wide range of specifications. Whether you’re looking for indoor or outdoor, wellness or fun, Origin has experienced it all and are available to help you create your dream pool, managing every stage from start to finish, giving you the confidence and freedom to enjoy finally swimming in your own home. So, end the year on a positive note and let Origin take you to wellness and beyond.

THE BENEFITS OF HIRING AN INTERIOR DESIGNER
T
hanks to Pinterest, anyone can feel like they’re an interior designer. Turning to inspirational platforms for smallscale home improvement jobs is perfectly fine (and a lot of fun!), but you should really consider hiring an interior designer for any significant projects. Having that professional opinion can make all the difference, from redesigning one room to redoing your entire home. Here are just five ways an interior designer can be an invaluable asset to your improvement projects.
62 DECEMBER 2020
“The training required to become an interior designer makes them an incredible resource when designing or refurbishing your home”
Reason #1: They’re professionals. It seems like stating the obvious, but interior designers are professionals. To become an interior designer you not only need a university degree in an art or design-related field, but you need to have a thorough understanding of building requirements and practical problem-solving skills. The training required to become an interior designer makes them an incredible resource when designing or refurbishing your home; they will be able to give you advice, support and recommendations with an expert eye. (Just to clarify: An interior designer is not the same thing as an interior decorator. An interior decorator isn’t involved with building the layout of a space; they dress a space that already exists, focussing on blending colour palettes, fabrics, textures and other finishes to bring a room to life.) Reason #2: They will take the stress off your shoulders. ‘It can get very overwhelming to a nonprofessional when faced with too many design options when redesigning a space,’ says Fishpools’ interior designer Kerry Laird. ‘There are endless possibilities and they all come in different styles and price ranges. As interior designers, we listen carefully to the brief you’d like to achieve in your home and with that, we create the perfect design to reflect your personal style whilst staying within budget and timeframes.’ What with full-time jobs, families to provide for and the limited free time a working adult gets,
no one needs the added strain of trying to redo your home. That’s where an interior designer comes in: essentially, they take care of all the stressful planning, coordinating and managing so you can take a back seat and focus on your daily life. Reason #3: They actually end up saving you money. Rather than going through expensive design ‘trial and error’, hiring an interior designer will help you get it right the first time. They’ll know just what colour to paint that room, what size sofa will complement your sitting room and what kind of fabric will add just the right amount of texture, so you don’t have to waste time, money and resources on what could turn out to be a costly mistake. Reason #3: They’ll help you get connected. Interior designers regularly work with contractors, painters, architects, installers and other professionals, therefore they will be able to put you in contact with the best people for the job at hand. Interior designers also have access to tradeexclusive furnishings, fabrics and home accessories, allowing you a wider selection to choose from. Plus,
should you ever need an improvement industry professional in the future, they’ll save you the headache of trying to find someone for yourself by recommending reliable people for the job. Reason #5: They help you increase the value of your home, should you ever decide to sell. Because an interior designer can help you get that sought-after ‘wow’ factor in your home, this could come in very useful, should you ever decide to sell and relocate. With an interior designer’s smart and functional solutions, this will add to the property’s appeal and could help to increase the overall value. Plus, you’ll end up saving money, as you won’t have to spend as much doing the house up before you put it on the market. So there you have it – five of many reasons to hire an interior designer before embarking on your next home improvement project.
Thinking of giving your home a makeover? Get in touch with our Fishpools’ Interior Design Service – our inhouse designers Katie and Kerry will help you turn your vision into a reality. To see the full offerings of our bespoke service visit Fishpools.co.uk

ART NOUVEAU INSPIRED WALLPAPERS
by Austrian artist, Nici Gabriel
C
reators of made-to-measure wallpaper murals, Wallsauce.com is proud to announce its latest collection of Art Nouveau designs by Nici Gabriel. Discovered in its competition to find the next ‘designer wallpaper collection’, Austrian-born Nici is a self-taught surface pattern designer who rediscovered her love for creativeness after having her children. Having endured a career as an IT project manager, Nici founded her art label after realising creativity was her passion. Inspired by her childhood in Austria, Nici’s collection for Wallsauce.com captures some of the finer details of the Austrian countryside translated into her love of the Art Nouveau period. She says: “Having lived in Austria for many years, it was a natural choice for me to focus on Art Nouveau. One of my wallpaper designs is a geometric, floral pattern with bows and loops on some marigolds and a reflected magic flower. The other is inspired by some clovers and mallows in my natural garden. Scrolls and bows give it the necessary elegant feeling of Art Nouveau.”
“Scrolls and bows give it the necessary elegant feeling of Art Nouveau” Beautifully decorated in mellow blues, ochre and neutral tones, Wallsauce.com saw a huge gap in their market for Nici’s Art Nouveau designs. With all things vintage also being predicted as a huge interior trend in 2021, these modern 20th century-inspired designs can also offer a unique and somewhat colourful fulfilment for the trend. Head to wallsauce.com to view Nici Gabriel’s 7-piece wallpaper collection. 2 60 46 D DE R R2 022 00 2 0 E CCEEMMBBE E

The Ultimate Work from Home Solution W
orking from home was not so long ago considered a perk of the job, however, the muchlonged-for 30-second commute, for many of us, has finally become a realisation. Prior to the global pandemic, we would have spent 492 days of our lives commuting to and from work and inevitably, Covid-19 has brought about a catalyst of change. Businesses are now seeing the benefits of reducing costs by giving up office spaces, and with commuting now significantly reduced, one of the biggest winners out of this situation is the environment. With this in mind, there’s no doubt that the “new normal” of home working is, quite clearly, here to stay. The general consensus is that working from home is wholly positive and can provide a better work-life balance. Whilst this is true, there is evidence to suggest that this can be quite the opposite, with staff working later than usual as they battle to “switch-off ” when their working day is over. So, what’s the solution? Garden Offices Green Retreats have long been advocates for working from home, creating stunning garden offices for customers who needed extra space to work in, at home, away from the house. They provide the ultimate work from home space that 2 MB 6 56 0 DDEECCEE M B EERR 2 20 02 02 0
gives clients the best of both worlds, an office to work in without the distractions of home life and when it’s time to finish, you can walk away and lock up and resist the urge to open the laptop. Garden offices from Green Retreats provide space to work in all year round, and are available in hundreds of style and size configurations to suit almost any garden space and budget. Sizes start at just 4m² and go up in half-metre increments all the way to 30m² with width and depth choices to suit the client’s use.

No matter how 2021 pans out, it seems as though garden offices are set to be an ever-popular addition to people’s homes for years to come. What are the Rules? Garden rooms generally do not require planning permission because they fall within permitted development rights. Garden rooms are classed as ‘outbuildings’ and as such can be built without permission as long as customers comply with permitted development guidelines. Quick ways to cheer up your home Let’s face it, we could all do with a bit of cheering up at the moment. A few jaunty accessories can help pep up the feel-good factor at home – and La Residence Interiors have some new additions that could well bring some comfort and joy! Blue horizons The blues don’t have to bring you down, they can also lift your mood sky-high – think of the ocean on a clear midsummer’s day. Blue is also a calming, dependable colour and a shade that mixes with neutrals as well as brights. Our blue pebble cushions combine the best of both worlds: the deep blue shade of the depths of the sea and a pebbles motif that echoes the shore. We also have a beautiful blue ombre throw with oversized pom poms that will add softness and style to any chair, sofa or bed. Team with a plain blue cushion and sail away... Hooray for herringbone In an easy-going natural shade with a subtle herringbone/ripple effect pattern, this cushion will slot into any room, just about any colour scheme, in any style of home. What’s not to like? Golden delicious Lustrous gold adds opulence and warmth to your interiors, even if it’s just a glimmer here and there. Our ribbed gold vase will deliver a shimmer just where you want it, as will our glass decorative candle holder with leaf motif. Romancing the stone We’re loving the rusticity and solidity of stone right now, especially when it looks like it’s survived a century or two outdoors being ravaged by the elements! Where precious metals add glamour, stone brings us right back down to earth – and the two very different materials can work well together in a room. Our newest stone accessories include a rugged stone pot in two sizes – small and large – which look great displaying some faux flowers or greenery. 27 10 0 DDEEC CE EM M BBEERR 2 02 2002 0
Reflected glory Mirrors throw light around a room incredibly effectively... and you don’t only have to hang them from walls. Mirrored trays are small enough to lean against shelves or be propped up on consoles or side tables to reflect light (especially useful in a dark corner) or used as trays on coffee tables or ottomans so that you see glints of light as you look down at them. We’ve a new pair of gold embossed mirrored trays that are particularly pretty and sure to light up a grey winter’s day.
“The blues don’t have to bring you down, they can also lift your mood sky-high”
Chilling out Ooh for lots of sociable bubbles instead of Covid-era social ones! But even if we aren’t sharing so much fizz this Christmas, we can still enjoy a corker of a champagne bucket. This large aluminium cooler with chunky handles is seriously impressive and when not storing a bottle or two can be used to display faux greenery or spring bulbs.
Marvellous marble It’s easy to add a veneer of sophistication with marble – this natural metamorphic rock has a characteristic veined appearance which can be polished to perfection and adorns many a luxury bathroom and kitchen. Prevent your home ending up in the wrong hands with a Property Trust A correctly set up Property Trust guarantees to prevent: • Your property having to go through probate • Generational inheritance tax • Your children getting nothing if you die and your spouse remarries • Your home being used to fund your care in the future† Just £1995 including v.a.t. and all legal fees and we will also provide a brand new Will Free of Charge for each person. A trust insurance for £9.99 per month will also need to be taken out to keep the trust up to date every year. † Remember if you have reason to believe that you may go into care soon or if your sole reason for implementing this package is simply to avoid paying

ABOUT ME AND THY WILL BE DONE Hi, I’m Paul Blackmoore and I’m the sole Director of Thy Will Be Done. I’m currently working from home during the lockdown with my 2 little helpers, Benny and Frankie who are both resuce French Bulldogs. My main areas of expertise are; Wills, Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Prepaid Funeral plans and Probate. It has always been my mission to bring to everyday folk the same protection opportunities that the rich and famous have had for generations. I achieve this as follows: 1. All of my advice is free at all times – you only pay when you engage me to work for you. 2. I offer exceptional value for money – Wills from £29.99 - 2 Lasting Powers of Attorney with an advance directive including vat and all Office of the Public Guardian fees just £495 - Pre-paid funeral plans from just £9 per week – Trusts from just £199 and I conduct probate for just 1.75% of the estate value plus vat. 3. I am 100% transparent with my pricing and how I work at all times. Many people are concerned about: 1. Living with partners but not being married. 2. Having to use their homes to pay for care fees in the future. 3. How much their families may need to pay in probate and inheritance tax fees. 4. Protecting their children if they leave everything to a spouse and the spouse then remarries after their death. 5. How to ensure their children will not lose half of their inheritance if they divorced after inheriting.
6. How to protect grandchildren or vulnerable beneficiaries. I am able to deliver solutions that are 100% legally effective in overcoming all of these problems and many more besides. To help with fees I am also able to offer guaranteed interest free credit without the need for any credit checks to make protecting your family more affordable. If you would like to have a chat with me just give my reception team a call on your local number below and they will book you in a convenient time slot for you to have your FREE telephone consultation with me. Take care and chat soon
