A MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN AND CEO Dear Friends, Welcome to the 2022 Fisher House Golf Classic. Thank you for joining us at the beautiful Golf Club at Lansdowne Resort.

In 2021, we were pleased to welcome golfers back to the Golf Classic after having to cancel in 2020 and, while not everything is fully back to prepandemic levels, throughout last year Fisher Houses programs moved closer to regular operations. We opened one house in Kansas City, Missouri and began preparations for houses in Lexington, Kentucky; Columbia, South Carolina; and a second house in Bay Pines, Florida. This year we are working on plans for four more houses. It truly felt like the Golf Classic kicked off a return to normalcy and continues to be an exciting start to the spring and summer.

One of my favorite stories from 2021 was about a couple that traveled all the way from their village in Puerto Rico to Chicago, Illinois. Army veteran José Antommarchi García and his wife Rosa stayed at the Hines Fisher House outside of Chicago, Illinois while he received treatment for a rare form of cancer.

“We didn’t know where we were going to stay because we didn’t have any family here,” Rosa said. “For us, who came from the island not knowing what to expect, the way Holly [the Hines Fisher House manager] received and welcomed us, our lives changed, and we felt at peace.”

All of us at Fisher House Foundation are grateful for your support as we travel along our Road to 100 Fisher Houses to support families like José and Rosa. Your support has paved the way on this incredible journey. The need continues to grow, which is why we are expanding to both military and VA locations in the coming years.

This year’s tournament will support the construction of several new Fisher Houses that will provide a much-needed “home away from home” for service members, veterans and their families.
