A warm welcome Some properties are more than beautiful places to live. They are landscapes, legacies and ways of life: a country house at the end of a tree-lined drive, a working estate shaped by generations, or an equestrian home where mornings begin in the yard. Fisher German’s National Country Agency Team specialises in these remarkable homes, farms and estates, combining nationwide reach with the insight of people who know their local landscapes intimately. For owners, the decision to sell is often deeply personal and rarely hurried. We see the journey as a long-term relationship rather than a single transaction. The team may work alongside a family for years, sharing thoughtful valuations and market insight while considering timing, presentation and the property’s next chapter. It is a measured approach, designed for one-of-a-kind homes whose ideal buyer may not yet be looking and whose value lies as much in character and possibility as in bricks and acreage. When the moment is right, every detail is considered. A property may be introduced quietly through trusted relationships with buyers and advisers or revealed through a beautifully curated national and international campaign. Fisher German’s network gives clients genuine coverage across the UK and connects exceptional rural homes with discerning audiences in London and overseas, including those seeking more space, privacy and a closer connection to the countryside. Yet national reach is only part of the story. Fisher German’s specialists are embedded in the communities where they live and work. We understand the subtle differences between neighbouring villages, the appeal of a particular landscape, the rhythms of rural life and the local market nuances that shape value. Backed by almost 200 years of property expertise, our team brings this knowledge together with sensitivity, discretion and sound judgement, matching an extraordinary place with the person who will value it next.

Vivienne Westwood & Jewellery The fascinating story of how jewellery has played an integral role in defining the Vivienne Westwood look is explored in Vivienne Westwood & Jewellery, a major new exhibition making its UK debut at V&A Dundee in March 2027. From the beginning of her career, Vivienne incorporated jewellery as a powerful and integral part of her designs – to add meaning and give expression to the body. Vivienne Westwood & Jewellery will explore the design language and subversive spirit of the British design house through the prism of jewellery. Curated by the Vivienne Westwood team, the exhibition presents four decades of special archive and runway jewellery displayed together as a collection for the first time.

ADELPHI THEATRE

The Lives of Others The Lives of Others arrives at the Adelphi Theatre, in a strictly limited run from mid October 2026, bringing a powerful new stage adaptation of the Oscar-winning story to London. Starring Academy Award nominee Keira Knightley (Black Doves, Atonement, The Misanthrope), Emmy Award winner Stephen Dillane (Game of Thrones, The Tunnel, Vigil) and Olivier Award nominee Luke Thompson (Bridgerton, Dunkirk, Oresteia), this production explores surveillance, censorship and the hidden cost of watching others. Expect a gripping, atmospheric drama that blurs the line between observer and subject, as a Stasi officer monitors a writer and actor in 1984 East Germany. What begins as surveillance becomes something far more unsettling, as the watcher’s life is quietly changed by what he hears. With its tense storytelling, emotionally charged performances and haunting themes that remain strikingly relevant today, The Lives of Others promises an unforgettable theatrical experience. This powerful adaptation brings one of modern cinema’s most celebrated stories to the stage with all the suspense, humanity and emotional depth that made it an international phenomenon.

Whether it is a beautifully restored listed cottage, a Georgian country house, a waterfront residence or an equestrian property surrounded by open countryside, exceptional homes offer something truly unique. They are places where memories are made, families gather and future generations can create their own stories. Purchasing a property of this nature is therefore about much more than completing a transaction. It is about making an investment in a lifestyle, a legacy and a place that feels genuinely special. Many of the country’s most desirable homes come with their own history and character. That individuality is often part of their appeal, but it can also bring considerations that are not typically encountered in a standard property purchase. Historic covenants, private rights of way, agricultural land, drainage arrangements, development opportunities and listed building restrictions can all influence both ownership and long-term enjoyment. Listed buildings, in particular, hold a unique place in the property market. From elegant townhouses and former rectories to centuries-old country homes, they offer a tangible connection to Britain’s rich architectural heritage. Owning one is often described as becoming a custodian rather than simply an owner, with the privilege of caring for a property that has already stood the test of time. Many heritage homes have evolved over generations, with extensions, alterations and improvements reflecting changing lifestyles. Understanding that history, and ensuring any works have been carried out with the appropriate consents, is an important part of the purchasing process. With the right advice and careful planning, however, heritage properties can successfully balance historic character with the demands of modern living.

Light My Fire Since the dawn of civilisation fire has been at the centre of our lives. Long before modern heating systems or electricity grids existed, people gathered around flames for warmth, cooking, light and connection. The hearth was not only a practical necessity but also a social focal point where stories were shared and communities formed. That primal relationship with fire has never truly disappeared and today companies like Charnwood continue to refine and reimagine it for the modern world. Founded on the Isle of Wight in 1972, Charnwood has built a reputation over decades for craftsmanship, innovation and deep expertise in wood-burning technology. The company designs and manufactures its stoves in Britain, combining traditional engineering skills with cutting-edge research into combustion science. This blend of heritage and innovation allows Charnwood to produce stoves that honour the timeless appeal of a real fire while meeting the highest standards of efficiency and environmental responsibility. www.charnwood.com

Roots & Inspiration The story of Timothy Oulton started way back in 1976 with an antiques shop owned by Tim’s father. As it turned out, Tim had inherited his father’s eye for beauty and detail. His innate ability to see artistic value and the essence of perfection in a product’s design became the starting point for everything new. Today, that legacy of creativity continues with Tim’s son Oli. “We’re not purely a design company per se, it’s more than that, it’s about the craftsmanship, the materials, the story.” Tim Oulton.

DREAMLAND

To Sleep Perchance to Dream Hästens and Ferris Rafauli introduce the new Hästens Grand Vividus and new Hästens Drēmər®. As recovery, wellbeing, and performance move to the centre of culture, Hästens sharpens the category: a bed holds you. A sleep instrument restores you. At a time when culture is increasingly focused on longevity, recovery, and how people perform in daily life, Hästens is making a simple but consequential argument: the most important recovery instrument in the home has been framed too weakly for too long.

www.timothyoulton.com INTERIOR PLANNING

The Art of Curation with Helena Christensen Through BoConcept’s Global Artistic Director Helena Christensen’s lens, the home becomes a living collection shaped by instinct, memory and the foundation of Danish design. For Helena Christensen, a home is never a finished composition. It is a living, breathing collection - shaped over time by instinct, experience and emotion. “You can travel the world, visit incredible places and meet fascinating people,” she says, “but your home is the most sacred and precious place. It reflects who you are as it’s an extension of your personality and the place you always return home to.” www.boconcept.com

That is the distinction Hästens is now making explicit. For more than 170 years, the Swedish family company has pursued one outcome: how people wake. Now, through its continued collaboration with world-renowned designer Ferris Rafauli, Hästens brings that philosophy into sharper public focus, not as a story about comfort alone, and not as a story about luxury for its own sake, but as a story about restoration, design, and the hidden variable behind how life is felt the next day. www.hastens.com fishergerman.co.uk

CLASSICAL AESTHETIC

Grate Expectations Over the past 25 years, Jamb has earned its reputation as one of the world’s finest antique and reproduction houses offering fireplaces, lighting and furniture, all woven together by Will Fisher and Charlotte Freemantle’s shared love for the classical English Country House aesthetic. A Jamb reproduction fireplace is welldrawn, architecturally sound and carved from the finest stone available, be it Italian marble or English limestone. In the design process, Jamb take its cues primarily from the eighteenth century, though some pieces belong to the early nineteenth and, with the Art Deco pieces, the early twentieth.

Each of the sofas are made to order, so they can tailor it specifically to your needs - whether you want a cosy loveseat or a large corner or modular sofa. Designed for life to be lived joyfully! www.sophieconran.com NATURAL PALETTE

Jamb’s also offer an inventory of fine antique fireplaces, it is one of the most extensive in England, including pieces of historical importance and great beauty spanning Georgian and Regency periods through to French and Italian.

At Edward Bulmer Natural Paint, paint is considered more than a decorative finish. It is treated as a material that should work in harmony with the buildings it is applied to, contribute to a healthy home environment, and offer a depth and beauty that endures over time. This approach is rooted in a simple but often overlooked idea: that the best materials are those derived from nature. The paints are made using plant-based binders and a carefully considered palette of twelve earth and mineral pigments, combined using traditional methods at a workshop in Herefordshire, where each colour is developed with an emphasis on balance, character and longevity.

42

fishergerman.co.uk

MC LA R EN McL 6 G T

Celebrating Tactility McL 6GT celebrates a form of driving connection that is increasingly rare: tactile, analogue, and deeply mechanical.

It is presented as an unmistakable signal of how the maverick spirit within McLaren can inform a future-facing approach to McLaren cars that will captivate with character. It also lays the foundations for a newly positioned and highly exclusive type of McLaren supercar beyond the core and expanded portfolio, which will be made real with a production version of McL 6GT in 2028. Placing a tangible emphasis on authentically reimagined heritage, modern tactility and pure driver connection throughout its finer details, McL 6GT blends its purity of character with lightweight carbon-fibre construction, V8 internal combustion power, and for the first time in a McLaren since the legendary McLaren F1, an authentic manual transmission sending drive to the rear wheels. fishergerman.co.uk

Every shift, throttle movement and steering input is intended to feel deliberate, physical, and rewarding, connecting the driver to the machine. This mechanical character extends beyond the drivetrain. Hydraulic steering, tactile switchgear, and visible engineering details all contribute to a sense of purity of involvement for the driver. Knurled machined aluminium controls and meticulous ergonomics reinforce the same human-machine connection, including detailing inspired by the M6GT. The design of the gearstick has been carefully considered for maximum feel and throw, but also incorporates design inspired by McLaren’s heritage, with a three-dimensional Speedy Kiwi set within its upright. An Inspired Concept McLaren, via McLaren Special Operations (MSO), honoured Bruce’s in-period vision for the M6GT when it presented a meticulously assembled one-off of the original at this

year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. The McL 6GT takes this celebration of McLaren’s road car origins to the next level. The McL 6GT name is inspired by McLaren’s presence on track, as well as the foundations of McLaren’s automotive journey. McL 6GT creates a direct link between these two realms, honouring the vision that Bruce McLaren had for the team that he founded, and the spirit that continues to define the brand today. Timeless In Execution Interpreting the racing-inspired styling and surfacing of 1960s sports prototype racing cars with 21st century execution and packaging, the DNA of M6GT is felt throughout the design of McL 6GT. It begins with the proportions. McL 6GT sits exceptionally low and wide with a low nose, echoing the stance of the M6A Can-Am racer upon which the M6GT was based. The body surfacing is clean, with uninterrupted volumes flowing from the low nose to the distinctive Kammback tail. The car reads as a single continuous form, with the roof flowing naturally into the rear deck and engine cover. 43

The cabin appears embedded within the body rather than sitting atop it. These organic qualities, wrapped tightly around the mechanical packaging, mimic the lowdrag aerodynamic conventions of the era. The distinctive ‘Racing Loop’ motif inspired by the M6GT’s original taillights are integrated into the exterior airflow architecture, while Bruce McLaren’s original M6GT number plate is reimagined as a tone-on-tone graphic treatment. His signature adorns the engine bay, and the Speedy Kiwi – the first iconography developed from McLaren’s original logo – is discreetly etched into the fuel filler cap. Inside, that philosophy continues through carefully considered details. McL 6GT bridges the gap between the eras, by its reimagining of McLaren’s road car origins being underpinned by the latest super-lightweight carbon fibre monocoque technology, combined with carbon fibre bodywork. THE AUTUMN MUST HAVE LUXURY ITEMS VIA LUCY DELIUS, DIOR, ARMANI CASA , HUBLOT AND FR ANCK MULLER

City Glamour The legendary Sciura: Milan’s impeccably stylish grand dame who defines the city’s insuppresable glamour. Pronounced she-ur-ah (or she-ur-ay in the plural) these women are more than fashion icons; they are institutions of elegance. Shaped by decades of style and couture with an unmistakable dash of seventies sass – the era in which they hit their fashion stride – ageless glamour is their natural habitat. These are the muses for the latest Lucy Delius collection, Sciura. Channelling the playful elegance of the sciura style the collection features bold, textured pieces with a nod to the 70’s love affair with bamboo. At the centre of the collection is an encircled necklace where the organic contours of the articulated segments are offset by Victorian-set pavé and bands of alternating diamond sizes. The furrowed silhouette and contrasting diamond ribbing are mimicked throughout; in the sculptural earrings, dramatic rings and bracelets designed to be stacked and layered. Balancing a bold but refined aesthetic, the collection is an ode to Milanese sophistication and the legacy of its sciure. Now launched on lucydelius.com and within the Ledbury Road flagship store.

The Water Lily in Dior’s Latest Creations A source of inspiration and the setting for the women’s autumn - winter 2026 show, the Jardins des Tuileries is a veritable hub of Parisian life, where the water lilies of the Bassin Octogonal invite contemplation. A symbol of natural beauty and resilience, the flower’s features are deployed throughout this collection designed by Jonathan Anderson.

The Armani Casa 2026 collection was recently unveiled at their flagship store on Corso Venezia 14 in Milan with “Origins,” a project that explores the essence of Armani living. The exhibition unfolded as a fluid narrative, expanding from iconic pieces into immersive domestic atmospheres.

The water lily sublimates the House’s leather goods thanks to virtuoso savoir-faire. It punctuates exceptional bags, including the iconic Lady Dior. Echoing the ready-to-wear line, the botanical motif can also be seen on the emblematic Book Tote, as well as on small leather goods, in various embroidered interpretations. As for shoes, the Dior Nymphéas heels, both elegant and bucolic, add a floral touch to each step.

Icons embody the purest Armani vision: timeless, recognizable objects that evolve while preserving their identity. Eight signature pieces were displayed alongside updated versions, creating a dialogue between past and present that highlights continuity and transformation. Origins” ultimately reflects the continuity of Armani style — a language rooted in simplicity and coherence, constantly evolving while remaining grounded in strong, enduring foundations.

HAPPY DIAMONDS

CHOPARD WITH JOY, ECHOING THE WHIRLWIND OF LIFE.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of its Happy Diamonds, Chopard unveils a campaign that does not merely tell a story, but makes it resonate. The new Happy Sport The First timepieces and Happy Diamonds jewels come together in a shared movement, between light and freedom, elevated by Chopard Ambassadors Bella Hadid and Liu Wen. Throughout this cinematic campaign, diamonds drift like suspended fragments of light. They glide across the skin, respond to gestures, and capture the movement of the body as well as that of the heart – revealing a beauty that is never still.

fishergerman.co.uk

Caroline Scheufele, Co-President and Artistic Director of Chopard, encapsulates this energy: “For 50 years, the dance of Happy Diamonds have mirrored freedom. Through this campaign, we wanted to celebrate that movement, both intimate and universal, that animates both the diamonds and those who wear them.”

A series of visuals and films showcases the creations that embody the enduring vitality of the Happy Diamonds concept, invented by Chopard in 1976. The campaign first reveals new Happy Sport The First timepieces – re-editions of the iconic 1993 model, a cornerstone of the Manufacture’s watchmaking. The first watch to set happy diamonds in motion directly on a dial, the Happy Sport redefined watchmaking codes by pairing steel and diamonds for the very first time. Imagined by Caroline Scheufele for women, it embodies an elegance in motion – both free-spirited and confident. Now available in 26 mm and 33 mm diameters in Lucent Steel™ and/ or ethical yellow gold, these new creations revisit the proportions while remaining true to the original design.

Bella Hadid & Liu Wen: Different personalities, one shared intensity

deliberate, refined, almost suspended in time. Her natural elegance and the precision of her gestures reveal another expression of freedom – inner, quiet, yet equally.

Chopard brings together two women, two presences, two ways of embodying this freedom in perfect balance. Bella Hadid, an Ambassador since 2024, commands attention instantly. Electric and instinctive, she embodies pure spontaneity. Her gestures are never calculated. They emerge, vibrate, surprise – infusing the diamonds with a sensual dimension.

In this campaign, movement becomes the reflection of a greater rhythm: that of life itself. Every gesture, every shift, every breath sets the diamonds in motion. Their movement does more than follow the body; it extends its impulses, translates its intensity, and reveals its nuances. Like a sensitive echo, they seem to mirror emotions – at times vivid and unpredictable, at others calmer, almost suspended. Light, vibrant or contemplative, the diamonds follow the tempo of sensations and states of mind.

Liu Wen, who is also newly appointed as a Maison Ambassador, radiates a serene strength. Each of her movements appears

A SERIES OF NEW HAPPY DIAMONDS PENDANTS COMPLE TES THIS L AUNCH Featuring a rectangular silhouette designed by the Maison in 2006, they are reinterpreted today with more open volumes, offering greater space for the diamonds’ swirling motion. Crafted in ethical yellow, rose, or white gold, they can be worn with natural ease, free from traditional notions of gender.

A cinematic visual language The campaign embraces a cinematic aesthetic. Behind the camera, director Manu Cossu crafts a series of films that lend narrative depth to movement. His visual language captures the energy of gesture and builds a progressive, vibrant rhythm. He says: “The campaign is iconic in its aesthetic and imagery, with that timeless aura of a movie star. It explores how jewellery, throughout history, has shaped the collective imagination through cinema, fashion, and this broader universe of beauty. At the same time, the approach is highly innovative, marked by a strong sense of modernity, embodied in particular by Liu Wen and Bella Hadid.” The body language is orchestrated by Stephen Galloway: inspired by contemporary dance, he composes a true choreography of detail. A glance turned away, a shifting shoulder, a barely perceptible breath: bodies become vehicles of expression, with diamonds as their natural extensions. He declares: “The Happy Diamonds made me think about movement in a completely different way.”

fishergerman.co.uk

Through the lens of photographer Greg Williams, the images reveal a rare intimacy: skin texture, plays of light, diamond reflections. His perspective, both spontaneous and refined, captures moments where emotion surfaces. He explains: “I am inspired by the Chopard diamonds and simply by the positivity of their name. We had two absolute dream subjects: Bella Hadid is expressive and bold, and Liu Wen has elegance and subtlety. The pictures have a total immediate authenticity.”

A signature invention, born from nature’s brilliance In 1976, Chopard transformed the codes of jewellery by imagining diamonds freed from all constraints: alive, in motion. The idea was born from an image: light dancing across the spray of a Black Forest waterfall, fragmented into thousands of fleeting sparkles. Translated into jewellery, it became a signature, an attitude, almost a philosophy: “Diamonds are happier when they are free,” observed Karin Scheufele, who then led the Maison alongside her

husband Karl Scheufele, when setting her eyes on the first prototype. More than a design, Happy Diamonds embody a conviction: that beauty lies in movement, and emotion comes from the unexpected. Fifty years on, this vision continues to resonate with its time, echoing a generation that values freedom, self-expression, and the ability to live each moment fully.

Couture furniture inspired by stage costume and the visual language of ballet and opera. In collaboration with consulting costume designer Hannah Edwards, Sofas & Stuff created four one-of-a-kind pieces. At its core it is a bold, imaginative concept: couture furniture inspired by stage costume and the visual language of ballet and opera. In collaboration with consulting costume designer Hannah Edwards, Sofas & Stuff created four one-of-a-kind pieces that translate theatrical artistry into interiors. Inspired by iconic characters from Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, Carmen and La traviata, each piece draws on their mood and movement, brought to life through couture-level upholstery, fabric manipulation and intricate detailing. Together, they form a series reflective of the shared principles at the heart of fishergerman.co.uk

the partnership - where imagination is the starting point, craft is honed through practice and precision, and ideas are ultimately realised in forms designed to be experienced and felt.

One of the couture designs will be exhibited at the Royal Ballet and Opera for a limited time before moving to selected Sofas & Stuff London showrooms alongside the other designs. Positioned at the intersection of design, culture and creativity, these pieces are not intended as commercial products, but an exploration of imagination without limits, designed to captivate, inspire and demonstrate the depth of creativity and craftsmanship

that defines Sofas & Stuff. LONDON CHIC

DISCOVER THE LONDON CHIC COFFEE TABLE BOOK BY CHARLES FINCH AT ASSOULINE. E XPLORE THE CIT Y ’S ST YLE, CULTURE, AND ICONS THROUGH STRIKING PHOTOGR APHY BY MARK ANTHONY FOX . For a bespoke suit, one goes to Savile Row. For the contemporary art scene, Soho. For the royal treatment, Buckingham Palace. London is an endlessly diverse metropolis that defies characterization: posh meets punk; regal yet underground; modern and classic. The presence of these contradictions imbues the capital with an indescribable aura of chic. Meander from private members’ clubs and storied theaters to bustling markets and candlelit dining rooms as the city reveals itself as a living tapestry of black cabs and Georgian town houses. Breathe in the capital’s rarefied air at one of its many green spaces - Hyde Park, Kensington

Gardens, Regent’s Park, Hampstead Heath - or with armfuls of blooms purchased at Columbia Road Flower Market. Author Charles Finch, the quintessential Londoner, opened the doors of the city’s coolest tastemakers, its most iconic institutions, and its trendiest spaces for photographer Mark Anthony Fox to gracefully capture the people and places that represent the London of today. The faces of London’s who’s who, such as Dame Kristin Scott Thomas, Daphne Guinness, Ozwald Boateng, Jeremy King, to name a few, dot the pages of London Chic, a testament to the enduring allure of England’s capital.

FISHER GERMAN SPE AKS WITH THE BIGGEST SELLING CL ASSICAL ARTIST OF THIS CENTURY, K ATHERINE JENKINS OBE, AS SHE HE ADS OUT ON A BR AND -NEW UK TOUR FOR 2026, TO CELEBR ATE HER INCREDIBLE 25 YE ARS IN MUSIC . THE 25-YE AR ANNIVERSARY TOUR IS THE FIRST TOUR FOR K ATHERINE IN FIVE YE ARS AND IS SE T TO FE ATURE ALL OF HER BIGGEST HITS.

Few artists have bridged the worlds of classical and popular music with the grace, warmth and artistry of Katherine Jenkins OBE. Known for her luminous mezzosoprano voice and radiant stage presence, she has become a treasured figure in British musical life and one of the world’s most successful classical crossover artists. Her journey from a small town in South Wales to international acclaim is a story of talent, dedication and a deep belief in the power of music to comfort and inspire. When you look back at the very first time you stepped on stage 25 years ago, what part of that young woman do you still carry with you every time you perform now? What I still carry with me is the excitement and the desire to give my best. People often assume that performers are endlessly confident but when I look in my eyes on the Premiere cover, I still see a kind of disbelief, a quiet “Is this really

fishergerman.co.uk

happening?” That sense of wonder hasn’t left me. If anything, it’s deepened. I realise that 25 years later, it might seem naïve to still feel that way but I’m genuinely still amazed that people show up, that my music moves them. I don’t take that support for granted. Every performance still feels like a gift. So while I’ve grown and evolved, that young woman’s excitement, her gratitude, her awe is very much with me every time I walk on stage. Is there a moment in your career that felt like success at the time but only truly revealed its importance years later? At the time, coming runner-up on Dancing with the Stars felt like a wonderful professional milestone. It was the American version of Strictly, and it opened doors I hadn’t even imagined. One of those doors was an invitation from Andrea Bocelli to tour the United States with him. Back then, I saw both moments as purely exciting

chapters in my career. But with time, their true significance revealed itself. It was at the New York concert at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center that I met my now husband. So what I thought were career highlights became something far more personal. Those experiences didn’t just shape my professional journey, they also quietly led me to the person I would share my life with. You’ve sung for royalty, world leaders, and millions - but whose opinion still makes you nervous? My mum’s. She has always been wonderfully honest. If she thinks something could be better, she’ll tell me. So in a way, her opinion still makes me the most nervous because I know it comes from a place of truth, not politeness. And if she says, “That was fantastic,” then I can truly relax and be proud. That’s when I know I’ve done well.

99

IN C O N V E R SAT ION W I T H KAT HER I NE JENKI NS OBE

Your voice has been part of some of the UK’s most emotional national moments. Which one stays with you the most? It’s very hard to choose because each moment carried a different kind of emotion. Singing at VE Day 75 to an empty Royal Albert Hall was incredibly powerful. That huge space felt so still and it really brought home how lonely the pandemic was for so many people. I felt like I was singing into silence, but also for everyone watching at home, separated yet connected through music. I remember the tears in my eyes at the end. Performing for Her Majesty at the Platinum Jubilee was emotional in a different way. We all knew she hadn’t been in the best health, so marking such

100

an extraordinary milestone of 70 years of service felt historic and deeply poignant. And singing at Dame Vera Lynn’s memorial was very personal. She was a mentor to me over the years, so honouring her felt like saying goodbye to someone who had truly shaped my journey. Has your relationship with your voice changed as you’ve grown - not technically, but emotionally? When I was younger, my voice was pure passion. Nothing made me happier than singing - it was instinctive and joyful. As I’ve grown older, that relationship has deepened. I’m profoundly thankful for its endurance, for the way it has stayed

with me, matured alongside me, and carried me through so many extraordinary musical moments. I understand now, in a way I perhaps couldn’t before, that it’s a gift rather than simply a skill. And gifts deserve care, protection, and genuine gratitude. Becoming a mother has shifted that perspective even further. I’m much more intentional about how and when I tour, because time is precious. That awareness has made me realise just how intrinsically connected I am to my voice. It isn’t something separate that I switch on and off as it channels my emotions, my experiences, my joy, my heartbreaks and my growth. So emotionally, my voice feels less like something I use, and more like something I honour.

fishergerman.co.uk

IN C O N V E R SAT ION W I T H KAT HER I NE JENKI NS OBE

Was there a moment you knew you’d successfully brought classical music to people who never thought it was for them? It always makes me smile when someone tells me, ‘I only listen to you… and death metal.’ The whole message of classical crossover is that classical music is for everyone. It was the pop music of its day and it only feels exclusive now because of how it’s been presented. For me, it’s always been about accessibility and introduction. If you’re welcomed into it in the right way, it can belong to anyone. That’s why I’ve taken it into places you wouldn’t traditionally find it: pop venues, sporting events, even war zones. I wanted to meet people where they are. How does it feel knowing you’ve represented Wales on some of the world’s biggest stages? I couldn’t be prouder of being Welsh and that’s not just because a DNA test once told me I’m 99.7% Welsh! Growing up in Wales gave me everything: my first stages, my first audiences, my first teachers and incredible community support. I genuinely wouldn’t be where I am without that foundation, which is why I’ve always felt such a strong desire to fly the flag for my homeland. We may be a small nation, but we overachieve creatively. There’s such heart and musicality in Wales and it’s a privilege to carry that with me onto the world’s biggest stages. What was the first tour that made you think, ‘This has become something really big’? My very first tour had just four dates which felt intimate and slightly surreal that anyone had bought a ticket at all. Then, within six months, I was back out with Second Nature and suddenly there were twenty shows that sold out far more quickly than any of us expected. By the time we reached the Believe tour, with these enormous sets, a full cast, and the butterfly wings, I remember standing there thinking, ‘How did this happen?’ The scale of it all was extraordinary. But thankfully, it never felt like an overnight explosion. It built gradually,

fishergerman.co.uk

step by step which allowed me to keep some healthy perspective. What have you unlearned in these 25 years that made you a better artist and maybe a happier one? That’s such an interesting question. When you train at music college, you’re taught to think very specifically, to think like an opera singer. There’s a structure to it, a discipline, and of course that foundation is invaluable. But over time, I realised that if I only stayed within that mindset, I might limit myself creatively. My husband teaches a course at New York University called ‘The Artist’sMind,’ which explores creativity across art forms. Art isn’t meant to live in a box. Unlearning some of that rigid thinking and allowing myself to step outside the traditional expectations of what a classical singer ‘should’ do, made me braver. It gave me permission to take risks, to experiment, to cross genres, and to keep evolving. I like to think that after 25 years, that willingness to push myself has not only made me a better artist, but a happier one too. When the lights go down on this anniversary tour, what do you hope audiences carry with them - long after the applause fades? I think we’re living in a moment where people are consciously turning back to music that feels comforting, and grounding. If my music can be part of that - a space where they can breathe, reflect, and feel uplifted, then I feel I’ve served my purpose. More than anything, I hope they continue to feel that I’m not just someone they watch on stage, but someone who belongs in their lives. Over 25 years, we’ve grown up together. They’ve brought my music into weddings, into moments of loss, into long car journeys and quiet Sunday afternoons. That’s an extraordinary privilege.

“I think we’re living in a moment where people are consciously turning back to music that feels comforting, and grounding.”

When did you realise your platform could make a real difference beyond music? That’s a lovely question… I don’t think there was a single moment when I realised it. It was instilled in me long before I had any kind of platform. I grew up watching

101

my mum giving her time whether it was through church, the PTA, or local fundraising. She taught us that if you’re fortunate enough to have success, you have a responsibility to give something back. That sense of duty was never presented as optional, it was simply part of being a decent human being. So when my career grew, it felt natural to use whatever visibility I had to support causes close to my heart. Cancer charities, conservation efforts, and the military community are particularly meaningful to me. It’s never felt separate from the music, it’s just an extension of gratitude. If people are kind enough to support what I do, the least I can do is try to channel that into something that makes a difference. What’s the most meaningful standing ovation you’ve ever received and what made that moment different? It’s funny because even after all these years, I still find standing ovations slightly

102

“When I was younger, my voice was pure passion. Nothing made me happier than singing - it was instinctive and joyful. As I’ve grown older, that relationship has deepened.” uncomfortable. I’m deeply grateful for them, of course, but I’ve never been someone who feels entirely at ease soaking up applause. Maestro Anthony Inglis often has to whisper to me, ‘Stay longer, let them clap!’ One of the most unforgettable ovations was in Afghanistan. I travelled to Camp Bastion at the start of the war, where a stage had been set up in the mess hall for around a thousand servicemen and women in the middle of an incredibly tough tour. There were funny moments, there were deeply emotional moments but an extraordinary sense of togetherness in the room. When they stood at the end, I had tears in my eyes but not because of the applause, but because I

felt I should have been the one standing for them. For what they do for all of us. The Welsh superstar will hit the road throughout October 2026, opening at Manchester Bridgewater Hall and performing 18 shows across UK and Ireland, including the iconic Birmingham Symphony Hall, Wales Millennium Centre and London Palladium. ROOTED IN CR AF T

Mulberry concludes their Back to the Mulberry Spirit trilogy by turning the spotlight once again on their Somerset home, The Rookery, in a campaign celebrating the British lifestyle brands’ artisans and their dedication to their craft. In a series of portraits and stills shot by longtime collaborator Tim Walker, select Mulberry styles are seen with seven of their craftspeople – on The Rookery’s factory floor, at their workstations, atop a pile of floral armchairs. Accompanying Walker’s stills are eight short, candid videos, in which the same craftspeople discuss their craft, their lives, and their relationship with the brand over the years.

The campaign – which was styled by Kate Phelan – features both core and new season Mulberry products, from classic Icons including the Heritage Bayswater and the Lily to more recent styles such as the Hackney. Newness is found in the Amberley Top Handle, as well as the Out of the Blue and Salcombe Sands colourways which refresh a number of key silhouettes. Elsewhere the Piccadilly – an oversized, unisex iteration of the Bayswater – returns: an elegant weekend bag big enough for all the essentials and spotlighting the Postman’s Lock. www.mulberry.com

His vibrant, daring depictions of iconic figures from Anna Wintour and Karl Lagerfeld to Frida Kahlo or Queen Elizabeth II are instantly recognisable; with his signature bold, chromatic brushwork, he gives their famous faces a fresh, edgy reimagining, striping them down to their ‘bare bones’, as he seeks to reveal the humanity beneath the public personas.

But who are Holland Cooper? The brains, beauty and businesswoman behind this luxury brand is Jade Holland Cooper. From the age of 21, Jade began carving out her own fashion brand modestly with only one seamstress and a calendar of agricultural shows and country fairs. What began as one rail of tweed skirts Badminton Horse Trials in 2008 grew exponentially as Holland Cooper became the go-to for the quintessential country glamour look. At the heart of what they do, British made quality is what sets Holland Cooper apart from the crowd. The brand champion’s British manufacturing from the fabrics they choose to their tailoring, and it is because of this quality assurance that they have every right to exude the luxury they do.

“I wanted to harness a style that lasts forever, the investment piece, this is not a trend it’s a way of life.” - Jade Holland Cooper The Holland Cooper brand is all about blending a distinctly British style with modern design, in particular the art of the tailored fit. Jade Holland Cooper believes there is a power in the art of dressing, and a beautifully cut jacket, blazer or coat is able to truly transform the way a woman feels while wearing it. Holland Cooper clothing is empowering women through providing strong, structured pieces that exude sophistication. Around this concept, the brand has expanded into country lifestyle clothing to create a HC ‘way of life’, a chic way to dress through every caveat of a country woman’s life.

118

Accentuation is the hallmark of Holland Cooper’s style. The silhouette is accentuated by beautiful cuts, tucks, and pleats, and the fabric is embellished with gold buttons and branding. Their use of vivid colours in their tartans, and tweeds literally stand out in the crowd. The long trench coat has become a symbol of Holland Cooper style, instantly recognizable at any country event or race meet among a sea of earthy-toned sporting jackets and flat caps. The gold hardware used is uniform across almost all pieces in the Holland Cooper collection. This culminates in a coherent outfit that draws the eye to the wearer wherever she goes.
