Our people & culture
It all starts with our people.
Our colleagues are not only experts in their fields, but also champions outside of work. We offer 2 days volunteering leave per year, allowing colleagues to engage in a wide range of volunteering activities. Every year, we support local causes through fundraising and volunteering.
As a firm, we are committed to supporting the Henry Sale Foundation, a charity established in memory of our late Joint Managing Partner, Henry Sale. This foundation honours his legacy by
promoting education and social inclusion through sport and the countryside.
We also participate in external sporting events, and our annual Link & Learn event allows colleagues to come together to showcase successes, collaborate and share their knowledge and expertise.
What is surveying?
Surveying is a profession that shapes how we live in the modern world and is critical in planning for the future. Surveyors can work across a range of sectors, integrating with a variety of different stakeholders to provide professional advice and services that shape the natural and built environment.
Surveyors collaborate with other professionals, work directly with people, problem solve and are pioneers to ensure the built and natural environment is sustainable, safe and resilient for the future.
At Fisher German, our graduate surveyors largely work within infrastructure, rural or commercial surveying that are explained in more detail over the page.
What is planning?
A career in planning revolves around our clients’ goals to obtain planning permission within a variety of contexts from rural or residential settings, to large scale development or infrastructure planning. As a chartered planner you will be involved in closely liaising with a variety of different stakeholders to research, prepare, submit and advise on planning applications throughout the UK.
