360° PITCHING TARGET
Effective Velocity, by definition, is the study of pitch speed and how location changes the reaction time by forcing the hitter to hit the ball at a contact point that is different than they were ready for. When a pitcher throws the ball “inside” or “outside”, the speed of the pitch changes because the hitter needs to adjust to the location. A pitch can change up to 3 MPH for every 6” inches that the ball changes laterally. The 360° Pitching Target helps a pitcher with location, thus fine-tuning his Effective Velocity.
