University 1 YOUR FIRST YEAR AT UM

UNIVERSITY 1 University 1 (U1) is a direct entry option with a unique, flexible approach to your first year at UM. Starting in U1 gives you the opportunity to meet the admission or first year requirements for one or more target degree programs.

U1 is the most common direct entry program and will not add any time or cost to your degree; it serves as year 1 of any three- or four-year degree.

FIRST YEAR CENTRE The First Year Centre is home to University 1 and is your go-to resource for everything you need to know about being a first year student at the University of Manitoba.

Making decisions about your first year can be challenging when there are so many choices and opportunities. Registration advisors and academic advisors at the First Year Centre can help you figure it out!
