How To Train Your Child In Football At Home?

How To Train Your Child In Football At Home? If you want your child to become a star Footballer or, at least make it to the school team (which of course you do), sending him/her to a worldclass junior training institute is not enough. Surely, it is the first step but, you have to contribute a lot to make a star of your child. For example, at First Steps Soccer, we talk to the parents directly and, discuss their duties for the betterment of their child’s game skills. The parents play a big role in the development of the child and, sports are no exception to the rule. Therefore, we have made it a point to delegate some tasks to the parents for an allround development of the children.

First of all, you have to keep this in mind that these hometraining tasks vary from one age group to another. If you are dealing with kids of 29 years old, you have to be more than just a trainer or a parent. You have to become his/her friend to make the lessons fun. Being the most reputable Junior Football training in Cardiff, we provide a training package to all our students. It consists of some skills books and over 200 video tutorials which you can refer while training your toddler at home. Here are some good ways to build your child’s interest in the game:



Make him/her learn by heart that Football is a game of the feet. We should never use our hands in it. Ask him/her to raise his/her hands above the head while kicking the ball or playing with it. Let him/her become friends with the ball first.



Once he/she has accomplished this task, ask him/her to run from one part of the lawn to another with the ball at his/her feet. It will be difficult at first and he/she may, accidentally, use the hands. Do not scold; do not shout. Let them have fun. You just guide them whenever they seem to go wrong. Continue Reading
