First Click | Tool hire made easy

First Click is the only way to manage your tool hire & site supplies projects.

This unique online system from First Response Site Services enables you to combine hire and supplies orders, off-hire equipment remotely and even create a requisition system with spending controls; all from your office PC or smartphone device.

1. Managing your hire activity

Our main dashboard makes it easy to monitor your hire activity.

Each tile provides an ‘at a glance’ indication of the status of your equipment, so you always know what is on hire or waiting to be collected.

From each of these tiles you are able to filter equipment in various ways; including contract number or site name. You can also download hire reports in spreadsheet format.

Off-hiring is a simple process that takes just a few clicks. You have the ability to off-hire entire contracts or individual items.

The FOUR Hire Tiles

1. Live Hires

View the equipment you currently have on hire. Filter to view by site, contract or job number. From here you can Off-hire items or entire contracts.

2. Booked Hire

View your booked hires at a glance. Check the delivery date to keep track of when equipment will be arriving.

3. Overdue Hire

Keep track of those items that have gone beyond the projected end date of your hire. You can quickly off-hire or extend hire periods from here.

4. Hire Awaiting Collection

This tile contains all the equipment you have chosen to off-hire and is awaiting collection by First Response.

Hire Reports

You can download reports in either csv or Excel formats. These can be filtered.

2. Building Teams

First Click allows you to create a permission-based hierarchy of contacts. These may be your site teams, buyers or administration staff.

Our two step contact process enables you to create site contacts without online access or those with access to your First Click account.

  • Site Contacts

These contacts will not have online access to your First Click account. These are your contacts on site who will need to be kept informed regarding collections or deliveries.

  • First Click Users

Each user with a First Click account will have their own permissions. This allows you to give your colleagues the ability to place orders, raise quotations, off-hire equipment and streamline your internal processes.

  • Create a contact hierarchy

Use permissions to build teams and implement control. Every contact can have a different set of permissions relative to their role.

  • Delegate tasks

Site teams know what they need & when they need it. Set permissions to allow them to create or place orders and hire or off-hire equipment.

  • Chat via First Click

Our unique web chat facility is a quick way to engage. Communicate with your teams during the order or requisition process to raise / answer order queries 24/7; no phone calls.

Site contacts you have created will automatically be sent collection and delivery notes, unless you tell us otherwise. With their contact details available we can liase directly.

  • Site Notifications

Site contacts you have created will automatically be sent collection and delivery notes, unless you tell us otherwise. With their contact details available we can liase directly.

  • Back Office Assistance

Enable back office administrators to view and download POD’s, Collection notes & other reports. They can also view audit trails to help resolve time consuming queries.

3. Spending Controls

Keeping control of your spending can often be difficult, especially when you are managing a large project or two. By implementing spending limits you can safely allow your site teams to build their own orders, while maintaining full control with our unique approval system.

Alternatively, you can set spending limits to zero and implement the requisition system that sends all raised orders for approval, before they can be converted to orders.

Each user with access to First Click, will have their own permissions & individual spending limits set by you or your delegated administrator/s.

  • Spending Limits

Allocate spending limits at contact level. When spending limits are exceeded the ability to place the order is replaced with an approval button.

Setting a zero limit means orders can be created but authorising is required. This creates a requisition system where every order must be sent for approval but still allows orders to be built.

  • Requisitions

Our requisition facility gives you total control of the order process. Orders become internal requisitions that are sent via First Click to a manager to be approved, edited, queried or cancelled.

  • Site Ordering

Site teams know what they need and when they need it. With First Click you can allow your site teams to create their own orders. Applying spending limits & the requisition system will add a layer of control to the process.

  • Delegate off-hiring

Nobody likes paying for those breakers that are no longer needed. With First Click you can empower individuals or teams to off-hire equipment with a few clicks 24/7.

Our unique audit trail allows you to view communications between your teams, conducted via the First Click web chat. These are shown on the bottom of every order.

You can see when an order was created, who and when the order was approved, along with any special requests or queries raised during the process. This means queries are resolved quickly and with minimal fuss. This is a good way of reviewing & improving your internal processes.
