+Hymn #39
Great is Thy Faithfulness
+Prayer of Confession (In Unison) Barry Gaeddert Merciful God, we confess that we have trusted too much in our own righteousness and have looked with contempt upon those who see the world differently. We have mistaken certainty for faith, and judgment for zeal. We have built walls where you would sow fields and drawn lines where you would pour out mercy. Forgive us for shrinking your grace to fit our fears. Loosen our grip on what we think we know and open our hearts to what only love can teach. Make us humble like the one who simply prayed, “God, be merciful to me, a sinner.” In Christ’s name we pray. Amen.
(Time of Silent Confession)
+Assurance of Pardon
One: Hear the Good News: God’s mercy is not reserved for the proud but poured out for all who humble themselves in faith. As high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is God’s steadfast love toward those who turn to God. Friends, believe the Good News of the Gospel! All: In Jesus Christ we are forgiven! Alleluia! Amen!

One: The Lord be with you.
All: And also with you.
One: Lift up your hearts.
All: We lift them up to the Lord.
One: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. All: It is right to give our thanks and praise. Words of Institution Communion
Closing Prayer and The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ, his only son, our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried. He descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

Choral Anthem
Out of the Deep John Rutter
Alana Bennett, cello
Out of the deep have I called unto thee, O Lord: Lord, hear my voice.
O let thine ears consider well; the voice of my complaint.
If thou, Lord, wilt be extreme to mark what is done amiss: O Lord, who may abide it?
For there is mercy with thee; therefore shalt thou be feared.
I look for the Lord; my soul doth wait for him; in his word is my trust.
My soul fleeth unto the Lord; before the morning watch.
O Israel, trust in the Lord, for with the Lord there is mercy and with him is plenteous redemption.
And he shall redeem Israel: from all his sins.
