FIRST Maastricht has a lot to offer and organizes activities ranging between formal business visits and crazy parties that’ll mark your time as a student in Maastricht. To ensure that also our international fiscal student are able to experience all these activities, we as the International Committee of FIRST are going to use all of our skills, knowledge, power and mostly our enthusiasm to realize this for the upcoming academic year.

Since you now know what we do, it would also be nice to know who we are.

Bas Göring Netherlands (Chairman)

I finished my bachelor in fiscal economics and will start my masters in February. Last year I was also member of the International Committee of FIRST and enjoyed the committee and the activities that we organized so much that I decided to apply for chairman this year. Besides my studies and being an active member for FIRST I work as a VAT Compliance employee.

Ijen Hamel Netherlands (treasurer)

I’m in my third year of Dutch tax Law. I joined the International Committee of FIRST because I would like to someday work in the field of international tax law. By joining the committee I’ll be able to build up some contacts and already experience the inner workings of international tax firms.

Milan Den Hartog Netherlands

I’m a third year fiscal law bachelor’s student. In my free time I like to play hockey and tennis. I picked the International Committee because I wanted to help organize Meeting Maastricht, the business trip to Luxemburg and the International Job Fair, as well as to help the international students find their way and integrate in Maastricht. We might not be able to organize most of our activities but I’m still looking forward toward the rest of the year!

Nicolas Mons Belgium

I enjoy being useful in a team and finding original solutions to issues. I care for others and strive for progress with a positive mindset. Very comfortable in a multi-cultural setting with 15 years of living and travelling to four continents.

Nadhira Hafsha Indonesia

Master student of International and European Tax Law from Indonesia. I want to be a part of the fun and fruitful programs that FIRST organizes, therefore I joined the International Committee.
