Tim will be starting Seminary school in January but will continue to work at First Lutheran Church Full time. MUSICAL NOTES It is so clear--God has a plan for every single one of us! Happy New Year! Happy 2017! It is hard to believe we are in a new year. I pray as we walk and work together in 2017, that we walk with love, compassion, unity, humility, and service: Love: "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. Love never fails." 1 Corinthians 13: Compassion: "Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience." Colossians 3: 12 Unity: "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers and sisters to dwell together in unity!" Psalm 133:1 Humility: "Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love." Ephesians 4:2 Service: "God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them." Hebrews 6:10 A New Year is an exciting time to move forward and not look back. God continually forgives us so we have renewal and his refreshing Spirit every day of every year! That is amazing! As you read this, I am packing my bags to return to dormitory life at Luther Seminary. I will be gone on January 8th, BUT I WILL BE BACK on January 22nd and back at my post at First Lutheran. Please pray that God's will be done in all our lives. I ask your special prayers that God will guide every step of my Seminary journey as I seek to follow his will and calling. Resumes January 6, 2017 First Lutheran Church Hand Bell Choir-Wednesdays: 5:30-6:25 PM-Resumes January 25, 2017. First Lutheran Church Choir meets on Wednesdays at 6:30-8 PM. We also have our annual Choral Scholars Program for youth in 10th grade through college, who are continuing or planning to continue their education. It is simple! You participate and meet the requirements of Choral Scholars and you earn a scholarship for the season! Applications are available in the Church Office, the Music Kiosk in the Gathering Space, or the Office of the Minister of Music and Worship. Spirit Express meets on Tuesdays at 7:15 PM for the Singers and at 7:45 PM the Band joins the Singers. We, the Spirit Express, are committed to worship leadership and music in our 10:30 Service.
