The AMP series diaphragm calls were designed to help ease of use for beginners or even advanced callers, by designing a palate plate that would fit the roof of an individual’s mouth more uniformly, creating better call placement. In doing this, each AMP diaphragm easily allows for more consistent cow / calf and bull sounds.

The Pitch Black Series was designed give the caller 3 different calling sounds. #1, a medium stretch of latex that allows for mature cow, calf, and mid tone bugles. #2, stretched tighter yet and gives the caller more range in his or her bugles and cow/ calf calls. #3 is the tightest stretch of the series and can hit the highest notes of any bugles you can muster.

The long tradition of the flat frame diaphragm is still available here at Phelps Game Calls. These calls offer great sounds from a small cow / calf, to large herd bull sounds with the use of triple layered latex. For those who have a flatter palate or prefer a call without a dome, these will become your “go to” calls.

7 years after introducing the first generation of Unleashed bugle tubes, it was time for more innovation. Listening to our customer’s feedback and analyzing what we love and didn’t like about the Unleashed, we went to work designing a new version with recycled plastic to improve our previous tube. Do you like using diaphragms but don’t like the large flared mouthpiece? No problem! Remove the mouthpiece and blow straight onto the tube. This bugle comes with both the EZ Bugler and Flared mouthpieces.

Manufactured as a one-piece aluminum bugle tube, the Phelps METAL balances the elk hunters’ demand for a weight-conscious, compact design and the ability to project loud, crisp calls. The aluminum construction provides more sound than plastic and is engineered to meet the frequency of bull elk. With the option of our interchangeable flared or the external mouthpiece, all levels of calling ability are covered. The bugle has been sandblasted, anodized black, and wrapped in a closed-cell neoprene sleeve to eliminate glare and unwanted noise. The interchangeable EZ Bugler external mouthpiece utilizes our AMP frame.

Phelps Game Calls and Dirk Durham bring you the RENEGADE bugle tube. This tube starts its life as an unleashed tube, is shortened 3” and refinished. The result is a shorter tube without the flared mouthpiece. Large corrugations in the chamber provide great resonance. Corrugations provide structure to the tube and a 1” straight mouth opening. Over-Cupped Exhaust Bell for backpressure and resistance making it easier to use ALL diaphragms.

When Steve Rinella and Janis Putellis ask you about building custom turkey calls, you give them your undivided attention. We began this conversation nearly three years ago and have finally given it wings! Steve and Janis had some really great ideas, and relayed their turkey call wants and needs to us. We went over every detail, from the impeccable sound quality, to the overall aesthetic of the calls. Not only do the calls sound authentic, they are beautiful works of art.

Attract rutting bucks with the Smash and Clash rattle bag. Made in the USA, the bag contains hardwood dowels engineered to sound like two bucks fighting. How to Operate: Slide one hand into the elastic handle and strike the opposite side of the bag with the palm of your other hand. Roll the bag back and forth between both of your palms, then strike the bag again. Repeat.

When the temperatures get cold, this is the call you want to have in the stand. This call is an “inhale” operated call, preventing you from filling the call with moist air that can freeze up at the time you need it the most. It’s small and stores conveniently in your pocket taking up little space. This call delivers an exceptional sound with great volume and is sure to get the attention of the buck you’re after.

The Alpha Pro uses components constructed in the good old USA. Again, we go back to a machined acrylic barrel, but this time we use a different type of internal reed system that’s tuned to produce aggressive grunts that will challenge any buck’s dominance. Speaking of the reed, we install a specialized rivet into the reed to create momentum, preventing the reed from locking up from condensation.The custom tube bellows, smooths out the call’s authentic buck vocalizations and offers the ability to articulate many nuance tones.

Listening to the desires of many “dyed in the wool” deer hunters including our old friend Clay Newcomb, we knew not every hunter wants a grunter with a bellows tube. The call is tuned to sound like a young buck, but can call in even the wisest old buck.

Every savvy whitetail deer hunter packs a doe bleat for when the time is right, so we have to round out our deer call lineup with a bleat that won’t disappoint. Countless hours researching doe vocalizations, we hand tune the internal reed assembly that’s housed in an acrylic barrel and injection molded exhaust, to produce bleats that will appeal to any buck that’s on “doe patrol”.

Diving deep into research and development and working with trusted game call visionary, James Harrison, we designed and built an American mold injected tone board and exhaust that sounds second to none.

fawn in distress Considered unorthodox by some deer hunters, a fawn in distress call can sometimes save the day by drawing in a concerned doe with a big buck in tow. Made in the USA, the machined acrylic housed reed package takes very little air pressure to operate. As a bonus feature, blow harder and the call doubles as a jack rabbit in distress.

Acrylic Closed Reed predator calls. Fawn / Jack Rabbit, Cottontail Rabbit and Bear Cub. PCR1 Blown softly, this call is tuned to sound like a fawn in distress. Increase the air volume and it turns into a raspy jack rabbit. PCR2 sounds like a Cottontail in distress. PCR3 sounds like a Bear Cub in distress by adding a little voice inflection. These calls are great year-round predator calls for targeting bears, wolves, bobcats, mountain lions and coyotes.

Tuned for Jack Rabbit, Cottontail and LV Rabbit in distress. These call features an acrylic body that will last forever as well as produce crisp and accurate distress. The POR1 will do pretty much everything from raspy jack to high pitch yips. The POR2 is a higher pitched cottontail. The POR3 is made for loud calling in open OR thick country.
