With the inauguration of the second phase of 2A and 7, both lines are now fully operational and connected with GhatkoparAndheri-Versova line 1, creating the first Metro network in Mumbai Metropolitan Region, the authority said.

The planning body also said that more than 20,000 Mumbai 1 cards have been issued in the past one week. The card, a common mobility initiative, helps commuters seamlessly hop on to trains and BEST buses in the city.

According to MMRDA, more than 75,000 users have also downloaded the Mumbai 1 mobile app, also launched by the PM on January 19, which generates QR codes for tickets.
