Yogi Adityanath inaugurates New Civil Enclave at Kanpur Airport

Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday inaugurated the New Civil Enclave at Kanpur Airport.

The Civil Enclave at Kanpur Airport has been developed with a new terminal building by the efforts of the Airports Authority of India (AAI) with an aim to enhance passenger facilities and connectivity.

With the inauguration of the terminal, the new area of the terminal will increase nearly 16 times as compared to the present area.

Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Union Minis- ter of State for Civil Aviation, Road Transport and Highways General VK Singh, and Airports Authority of India Chairman Sanjeev Kumar were present on the occasion.

Chief Minister congratulated the residents of Kanpur for receiving the gift of the new Civil Enclave at the Airport.

During his inaugural speech, Yogi Adityanath said, “Before 2017, two airports were functional in the State, while two airports were partially functional, l Empowering Women:

“We are not slaves of the Congress. We take our own decisions,” he asserted.

Reacting to Congress questioning former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda’s decision to attend the event, he quipped, “Why do we need to follow Congress? When Congress chose Yashwant Sinha as the presidential candidate, had it forgotten that Droupadi Murmu hailed from Adivasi background?” Kumaraswamy charged. Congress is “doing politics” in the matter of inauguration of the new Parliament building. The party is talking as per its convenience.

Journey Of Old Parliament Building Since Its Inauguration In 1927

New Delhi: The old Parliament building, an architectural splendour and a historic landmark that guided the destiny of India for nearly a century and whose illustrious legacy will now be consigned to the pages of history, was inaugurated on January 18, 1927 by the then Viceroy Lord Irwin. On May 28, when PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate the new Parliament building and dedicate it to the nation, the old Sansad Bhavan will also hand over its position as the country’s hallowed legislature, a privilege it enjoyed for over 96 years.

It is shedding crocodile tears on President Droupadi Murmu not being invited to inaugurate the new Parliament building. If this was the case, why did it choose Yashwant Sinha over her? he questioned.

As many as 21 political parties are boycotting the inauguration event. The decision is left to them. Sansad Bhavan is not confined to a party. It is built with the money of the people of the country.

Taking note of the Defence Corridor in Kanpur, Chief Minister said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has tried to bring back the ancient glory of Kanpur by developing the district as a new node of the Defence Corridor.”

Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said, “Today, a dream of the residents of Kanpur to have its own airport after the metro, has been fulfilled by the Central government led by PM Modi and Yogi Adityanath’s govt in UP.”
