New Delhi (PTI): The Indian Navy’s P8I maritime patrol aircraft on Thursday located a Chinese fishing vessel that capsized 3 days ago in the Indian Ocean. The position of the boat was “relayed” to China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Navy warships for further assistance, they said. The Chinese vessel with 39 crew members overturned on Tuesday in the central part of the Indian Ocean.

Kapurthala: The granthi of Gurdwara Hatt Sahib in Sultanpur Lodhi here was injured after he was attacked by a masked man, police said on Friday. The accused, who was later overpowered by sewadars, was identified as Lakhbir Singh, a resident of Sarupwal village, they said. The accused often visited Gurdwara Hatt Sahib. On Thursday, he went there wearing a mask. The sewadars present there objected to him covering his face but he ignored them and offered prayers, said Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sultanpur Lodhi, Babandeep Singh.

Gwalior: A 34-year-old woman was booked for allegedly throwing acid on the wife of her former live-in partner in Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh, a police official said on Friday. The victim has sustained severe wounds and has been rushed to Delhi for treatment, the police said. “Based on the victim’s husband’s complaint, we have booked the woman for throwing acid. Meanwhile, the accused has claimed the victim’s 36-year-old husband raped her while they were in a live-in relationship since 2018,” the police added.
