Jodhpur man flashes at Korean vlogger, arrested

Jodhpur: A 25-year-old man was arrested on Monday for allegedly flashing his genitals at a South Korean tourist in the city. The 28-yearold woman recorded the harassment on her phone and posted it on her vlog, which came to the notice of cops.

The accused, identified as Deepak, had allegedly been stalking the woman for some time after spotting her alone at Pachetia Hill, a tourist spot in the walled city, on Monday morning.
When she stopped to object, he dashed in front of her and dropped his trousers to flash his genitals at her.

State reports 547 new Covid cases, 2 deaths

Jaipur: A total of 547 fresh Covid cases were reported in the state while two patients died on Tuesday. Jaipur has the highest number of positive patients with 135. The total number of Covid infected people in Jaipur has risen to 781. The total number of infected people in the state has gone up to 2,858 while 235 patients have been discharged after recovery.
A total of 12,071 samples were taken in the state on Tuesday.
Increasing cases of Covid have increased the concern of the medical department. Instructions have been given by the Medical Department to increase sampling in all hospitals.
Gehlot summoned the Jaipur Municipal Corporation Heritage administration expressing his displeasure in the matter of suicide by Ramprasad in Subhash Chowk area, the municipal administration swung into action on Tuesday. The team of JMC Heritage started demolishing the underconstruction hotel under the direction of Hawa Mahal-Amer Zone Deputy Commissioner.

Lawyers of blast victims’ kin prepare for hearing

Jaipur: Senior lawyers Mukul Rohatgi, Maninder Singh and Shiv Mangal Sharma will present the side of the Jaipur serial bomb blast victim families in Supreme Court. There may be a demand for early hearing from the Supreme Court on Friday. At present, the trial court’s decision of about 300 pages is being translated into English. A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court on behalf of the family members of the victims against the decision of the Rajasthan High Court to acquit the accused.
The Rajasthan High Court on March 29 acquitted four convicts in the Jaipur serial bomb blast case which rocked the state capital on May 13, 2008.
