Local bodies to now decide land usage change; UDH grants power

Rajasthan government has empowered local bodies to take a decision on their level in the cases of land use change if it is in accordance with the master plan or zonal plan. Land use change of plots of all sizes will be done by the concerned bodies at their own level. This will save time and will speed up the disposal of cases. UDH and LSG have issued an order in this regard. The local bodies will not have to send the file to the government for approval in case the land use is in accordance with the master

Mother, 1-year-old daughter shot dead in Dholpur

Dholpur: A woman and her one-year-old daughter were shot dead in Dholpur district in the early hours of Thursday, police said. The accused allegedly barged into the house of Banwari in Rajakhera and opened fire at his wife Seema, aged around 25, and the couple’s one-year-old daughter who were sleeping in a room, they said. They died on the spot. Banwari was also present there but he hid at a place, police said.

Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Gupta said that the department is committed to free and fair, smooth and inclusive election process. Dharmendra Sharma, Senior Deputy Election Commissioner of ECI gave his views on the presentation given by the District Election Officers. He said that to ensure more public participation, initiatives like “Youth Chala Booth” ad “Mission-75” are being conducted for women, specially abled and transgenders. In the meeting, the officials of Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Sirohi, Pali, Bikaner, Rajsamand, Ajmer, Jaipur and other districts gave presentations on their preparations.

Tonk/Newai: A couple killed themselves by jumping into a well in the Newai area on Thursday. The dead body of a girl was seen floating in the well. On finding the slippers of the boy outside the same well, the police also searched for the body of the boy. After an intensive search, the body of boy was also found inside the well. With the help of the Civil Defence team, the police got the bodies pulled out. After taking them out, the police took the bodies into possession and kept them in the CHC for post-mortem.

Cousin brothers rape 11-year-old sister in Udaipur

Udaipur: A case of gang rape of an 11-year-old minor girl by her own minor cousins has come to light in Ambamata police station. According to the information, the girl had come to her aunt’s place, where her aunt’s minor sons aged 13 and 15 years gang-raped the minor girl. When the minor girl’s health deteriorated, the relatives took the girl to the hospital and after detailed counselling with the doctor, the girl narrated her ordeal to parents.

Rajasthan has been awarded the first prize by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy,(MNRE) Government of India, for commissioning highest wind energy capacity compared to other states. A record 867 MW Wind capacity has been added in the year 2022-23 in Rajasthan. The award has been conferred at a national level function organized in New Delhi on the occasion of “Global Wind

The mining department has succeeded in selling tender documents for five major minerals. Officials informed that a total of 30 tender documents for the mining of limestone, iron ore and base metals were sold. The Mines Department had prepared one block of limestone and two blocks each of iron ore and base metal. “Nine companies are in the fray for the Hariyav Jaspura limestone block of Vallabhnagar. Similarly, nine companies are there for Neemkathana’s Nyorana Dhandhela iron ore block while ten companies are in the fray for Basri Ganeshpura iron ore block in Shahpura and Jaipur,one for Ladana metal block in Mavli.

In a fierce collision between a car and a tractortrolley on the Agra-Jaipur National Highway No. 21 two labourers died, while four were severely injured. Villagers and locals took out the labourers trapped in the tractor trolley on the spot and informed the police about the accident. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and took the injured and the dead to the RBM Hospital by ambulance. It has been told that the labourers were being taken in a tractor trolley by a contractor for road construction work.
