Un’ambientazione unica, aftermovie spettacolari, una riconoscibilità senza eguali. Tomorowland è il festival di musica dance elettronica più bello e famoso del mondo. Ogni anno, a fine luglio, attira in un grande parco tra Anversa e Bruxelles, in Belgio, 200 mila persone provenienti da ogni paese.

L’idea alla base è stata geniale: i fratelli Beers, organizzatori dell’evento insieme alla ID&T – società olandese attiva nel settore dell’intrattenimento dagli anni Novanta – hanno creato un prodotto unico - di cui l’ambientazione fantasy è l’aspetto più iconico - in grado di sopravvivere alla concorrenza. Unique location, spectacular aftermovies, an awareness like no other. Tomorrowland is the most beautiful and famous festival of electronic and dance music in the whole world. Each year at the end of July, Tomorrowland draws more than 200 thousand people from all across the world, in a gigantic park located between Anversa and Bruxelles.

The initial idea was brilliant: the Beers brothers, organizers of the event together with ID&T- a Dutch company working in the entertainment industry since the Nineteens- created a one-of-a-kind product -primarily known for its fantasy setting- that is able to withstand competition. Year after year, sempre altissima. Tutto deve dare l’idea di un mondo onirico, finalizzato a far vivere ai partecipanti un’esperienza mistica in un luogo da fiaba, all’interno di un mondo popolato da giostre, figuranti e attrazioni. Accompagnato da 12 ore di musica giornaliere, ognuno può viverlo liberamente, cartina alla mano. Sembra di essere in un gigantesco luna park, e infatti Tomorrowland è definito la Disneyland dei festival. Quest’anno l’appuntamento è per il fine settimana dal 21 al 23 luglio 2023 e quello successivo dal 28 al 30 dello stesso mese. the concept changes and the attention to the scenographic setting is always exceptional. Everything has to bring the audience into a dreamlike world, having the aim to make participants live a mystical experience in a fairytale place, in an environment full of rides, pageants and attractions. With 12 hours of non-stop music, anyone can experience it in their own way, with a map in their hand. Tomorrowland feels like being in a huge lunapark, for this reason this event is also called the Disney of music festivals. This year, it will be held for the weekend from July 21 th to the 23 th and the next weekend of the same month from the 28 th to the 30 th .

Cercare di estrapolare tutti i dj superstar che si esibiranno a Tomorrowland 2023 è un’impresa epica. Ma scorrendo la lista infinita di nomi saltano all’occhio Hardwell, Amelie Lens, Armin van Buuren, Nina Kraviz, Paul Kalkbrenner e i nostri resident Martin Garrix, Tiësto, Vintage Culture, Meduza e Purple Disco Machine.

A portare alta la bandiera italiana sul Main Stage di uno dei palchi più spettacolari del mondo ci penseranno i Tale of Us e Anfisa Letyago (di origini siberiane ma napoletana d’adozione).

Ma quello ciò che sorprende a Tomorrowland è la varietà incredibile della sua clientela. Si va dal teenager che balla a petto nudo fino alla coppia di mezza età insospettabile, che birra alla mano di scatena davanti ai dj preferiti. Ma la cosa davvero incredibile è che il tutto è ammantato da una forma di estrema educazione. In confronto alla quantità di partecipanti, i problemi che si verificano sono pochi e questo è dovuto a una forma di tolleranza zero verso chiunque cerchi di toccare o danneggiare gli allestimenti nel parco e un forte senso del rispetto delle regole tipico di quei Paesi del Nord Europa dove gli eventi EDM sono particolarmente diffusi.

È come se ci si immergesse in un universo ricco di colori, forme, spazi da vivere con uno spirito di fratellanza che può essere riassunto nel motto del Tomorrowland, PLUR (Peace, Love, Unity, Respect). Il festival ha costruito la sua fama unicamente sul passaparola in internet, senza nessuna forma classica di pubblicità in tv o annunci in radio, ma grazie solo ai social media.

Trying to extrapolate all of the superstar DJs that are going to perform at 2023 Tomorrowland is tough. Scrolling the participants’ list Hardwell, Amelie Lens, Armin van Buuren, Nina Kraviz, Paul Kalkbrenner and our residents Martin Garrix, Tiesto, Vintage Culture, Meduza and Purple disco Machine stand out.

The mission to represent Italy on the Main Stage of one of the most impressive stages worldwide is up to Tale of Us and Anfisa Letyago (Siberian origins but raised in Naples).

What is amazing about Tomorrowland is its incredible range of customers: from shirtless dancing teenagers to unexpected middle-aged couples with beers in hand going wild listening to their favorite DJs. Above all, what makes this experience incredible is that everyone is deeply polite. In comparison to the amount of participants, the problems that occur are few thanks to a zero-tolerance towards those who try to damage the park settings and a strong sense of respect for the rules, typical of Northern Europe Countries where EDMs festivals are widely common.

It is like diving in a colorful universe, full of shapes, spaces to live with a brotherhood spirit, which can be enclosed in Tomorrowland motto: PLUR (peace, Love, Unity, Respect). This festival became notorious thanks to the word-of-mouth on the internet, without any kind of classical television or radio advertisement, just social media power.

Partecipare richiede un mix di velocità e fortuna: eccezion fatta per i ticket per i Global Journey – i pacchetti viaggio organizzati da Tomorrowland, acquistabili direttamente sul sito sei mesi prima, necessitano di una pre-registrazione che consente di mettersi in lista d’attesa. Agli acquirenti viene poi spedito a casa un cofanetto contenente un bracciale elettronico. Una volta attivato inserendo i propri dati, diventa il biglietto valido per l’ingresso a Tomorrowland. Quello stesso bracciale, per tutta la permanenza dello spettatore, diventa il suo portafogli virtuale sul quale caricare i pearls, la valuta ufficiale con cui pagare all’interno del parco. 20 euro corrispondono a 13 pearls. Ci sono circa 120 stand gastronomici che offrono differenti tipologie di cibi, dallo street food ai piatti serviti in ristoranti stellati e cucinati dai migliori chef del Paese. Tutti questi aspetti, a partire dalle scenografie, passando per la location e per la vasta offerta musicale hanno ridefinito il concetto di festival associato al Tomorrowland.

“Is there life after Tomorrowland?”, dice uno dei tanti striscioni esposti durante l’ultima edizione. Le bandiere di tutto il mondo esposte fiere rappresentano la forza di un festival che riesce ad abbattere ogni tipo di barriera, musicale, politica e sociale.

Participating involves both speed and luck: not considering the Global Journey Tickets - travel packages organized directly by Tomorrowland available on the official website, need a pre-registration that allows users to get on the waiting list. A package containing an electronic bracelet is then sent to purchasers. Once activated by entering your data, it becomes the ticket for Tomorrowland.

The bracelet, for the whole festival, becomes your virtual wallet on which to load the perls, the official currency for paying in the park. 20 euros correspond to 13 perls. The event hosts an average of 120 food stands offering different types of dishes: from street food to meals prepared in Michelin-star restaurants and cooked by the best chefs of the country. All of these aspects, starting from the scenography and continuing with the venue and the large musical offering, have been redefining the concept associated with Tomorrowland.
