This is an opportunity for ALL young folks aged 21 and under who are interested in Red Angus genetics to showcase their talents, interests, and skills in a fundraiser for the 2022 Junior Extravaganza. Are you proud of your photography? Of your artistic capability? Of your ability to build fence? To work and tool leather? To labour for others? To host and put on a great social event and/or meal?

And it’s THE opportunity for everyone else to support our young cattlefolk’s generous and creative donations!

Youth? Donate your service, your art, your ability to create an experience or your artisanship to CRAPS and you may earn: • 1st Prize - $4,000 • 2nd Prize - $3,000 • 3rd Prize - $2,000 • 4th Prize - $1,000 • 5th Prize - $1,000 • 6th Prize - $1,000 • 7th Prize - $1,000 • 8th Prize - $1,000 • 9th Prize - $1,000 • 10th Prize - $1,000 ...to go toward the purchase of a live animal at the mighty, mighty Red Round-Up on Saturday, October 15th, 2022! And based on what funds are raised, the sale credit prize money you earn may even be bigger and/or more awarded! You don't have to be a current Red Angus breeder! This contest and fundraiser is open to EVERYONE 21 years of age and under!!! Many thanks to Team DLMS for, once again, proving what a great partner they are!

If you would like to showcase and donate your talents and skills through a DLMS auction, showcased on our Facebook and Instagram pages, and are interested in potentially earning $4,000, $3,000, $2,000 or $1,000 to purchase a Red Angus animal, this this contest is for you!!!

How it works: • Between today and Wednesday, September 28th: submit your entry to diamondtcattle@xplornet.com. We will start featuring, posting and promoting your donation right away, leading up to the entry deadline and until the auction start on Friday, September 30th; • Friday, September 30th: online auction bidding starts at NOON MST; • Sunday, October 2nd: close of “Red Angus Rocks!” online auction at 7:00 p.m. MST with extended bidding; • Wednesday, October 5th: announcement of “Red Angus ROCKS!” sale credit winners; • Friday, October 14th: start of Red Round-Up weekend; • Saturday, October 15th: the mighty, mighty 50th Annual Red Round-Up.

When you submit your donation, please include the following information: • Name • Birthdate • A recent photograph of you that will accompany and help market your item on social media and DLMS • Breeding Unit / Operation Name • Category / Type of Donation • Approximate Value of Donation • Date(s), including a range, it will be ready / available for use • Why you would like to obtain Red Angus genetics

It’s EASY to donate!! You don’t have to create an ad or any marketing strategy!! You may be evaluated more highly if you do... but this is NOT a requirement!! The sale credits will be allocated based on the following: • originality of donation item; • marketing performed by the donor; • quality of the donation item; • final sale price of the donation item and difference from its value.

Wondering what you could donate? Consider any of the following: a hair cut, woodwork, fitting service, a barbecue experience, a hot air balloon ride that you organize, photograph (must be framed/mounted), painting (must be framed/mounted), jewelry, labour, a song, metalwork, baking/ cooking, a city or country experience that you organize, gopher hunting on your farm/ranch... pretty much anything you can think of will work.
