Welcome to the UK’s premier event for driving instructors. You’ve made a wise choice.
Thank you for coming along to The Driving Instructor Convention, in association with Dash Instructor Cover. We’ve put together an action-packed programme featuring a dozen sessions delivered by a wide range of expert speakers. Each topic is designed to challenge your thinking, build your industry knowledge, and help sharpen your skills as a driving instructor.
This morning’s programme includes a mix of practical and insightful training content, including a look at the rapidly evolving world of AI and what it could mean for instructors. We’re also pleased to welcome the DVSA team, who will take centre stage before lunch with a specially extended session featuring three presenters and plenty of time for questions and discussion.
In the afternoon, the focus returns to instructor development, alongside expert insight from three highly respected road safety specialists. The day will then conclude with an inspiring motivational speaker to leave you energised and ready for the challenges ahead. You won’t want to miss that.
Today is also about connecting with fellow instructors. We hope you enjoy the opportunity to network, share ideas, and build new relationships throughout the day.

Since 2018 Sharron has tirelessly campaigned for the introduction of Graduated Driving Licensing (GDL).

This session explains how elements of a (GDL) system could prevent deaths like that of Caitlin, who was tragically killed as a young passenger. Sharron Huddleston, Road Safety Campaigner and founder of Caitlin’s Campaign, highlights repeated missed opportunities by Government to introduce this life-saving reform.
