Council of Ambulance Authorities (CAA) is a not-for-profit national charity and operates as the peak body for the Australian, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea ambulance sectors.
Founded in 1962, the CAA was created to provide an opportunity for senior leaders to network, share ideas and information, advocate on the ambulance sector’s behalf. CAA’s members learn from each othe based on experience, research, and a collective desire to continuously improve patient care and outcomes.
Women in Leadership Symposium
On average, men apply for a job when they meet only 60% of the qualifications, but women apply only if they meet 100% of them. 1
Amongst all CAA members, women make up 53% of the workforce2, but these numbers are not reflected in management and executive roles, with around one third of these roles are occupied by women.
We believe that the Ambulance sector has a large pool of hidden talent - women currently in leadership roles or who aspire to be leaders but are unsure about how to take that next step in their careers.
The Women in Leadership Symposium will provide attendees with practical skills, tools, perspectives and takeaway tips to help these women take the next step.
At the conclusion of the Symposium, we will be announcing the CAA 2024 ‘Women in Leadership Scholarship’ recipient.
We invite you to meet and network with some of the Australasian Ambulance sector’s most talented women in person at the 2024 CAA Women in Leadership Symposium and partner with us to make this journey to equality a reality.
