from the director
In 2002, CYT KC was only 2 years old. The first Artistic Director, Justin Parks, needed to move to Chicago, and God led Gina Milbourn to take Justin’s place. In the fall of 2002, CYT KC chose to produce Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, much to the scrutiny of some.
It’s such a big show! Do we have enough students to pull it off? Who will choreograph and music direct? Will we have a live band? Well, we learned to never doubt God, and it was a fantastic production, thanks to many gifted musicians and artists and amazing parents. In fact, many of the costumes, props and sets that you see in this production were created by those parent committees in 2002!
Since then, CYT KC/First Act KC has produced Joseph 7 times! God has continued to show His faithfulness through the 25 years of this organization. We hope that you enjoy this production as you remember God’s provision and providence.
