I vividly remember going to the movie theater on Thanksgiving Day in 2013 to see Disney's brand-new film, Frozen. The theater was filled with kids and adults, all wearing blue 3D glasses, unaware of the lasting legacy the movie would create for future generations. Laughter filled the air every time Olaf spoke, eyes widened when we first heard Idina Menzel’s powerful rendition of “Let It Go,” and jaws dropped when the true villain was finally revealed. As we now know, Frozen became one of the highest-grossing films of all time, leading to a sequel, a Broadway adaptation, theme park attractions, and countless pieces of merchandise.
It wasn’t just the lovable characters and catchy songs that made Frozen a box office hit. The film made history by breaking the traditional princess mold. Elsa was the first Disney princess to embark on a journey of self-acceptance, personal growth, and inner healing. Frozen teaches us that true love isn’t limited to romantic relationships it’s found within ourselves, our family, and our friends
It has been an absolute joy to bring this timeless Disney classic to life in our production of Frozen Jr. I hope that as you watch, you experience the same joy and inspiration I felt when I first saw the film!
This talented cast has embraced the challenge of bringing such iconic characters and songs to life, and I can't wait for you to see it! As Olaf says, "Some people are worth melting for," and this cast and crew certainly are!
So now, sit back, relax, “let it go,” and enjoy Frozen Jr.!
