High Waters on Road in Putnam Co.

The Nitro and St. Albans fire departments’waterrescue units responded to an assistance call from Poca VolunteerFire Department fora waterrescue on HeizerCreek Road in Putnam County. Mechanicsville Deck Fire Extends

On April 10, 2022, the Mechanicsville VolunteerFire Department was alerted fora structure fire on Sycamore Drive in Mechanicsville, St. Mary’s County. The incident involved a fire in a single-family dwelling, originating on the reardeck and extending into the remainderof the dwelling. The occupant of the home was alerted to the fire by the smoke alarms in the home. Investigators determined the fire was caused by discarded smoking materials.

1 Injured at New Windsor House Fire

On May 8, 2022, the New WindsorVolunteer Fire Department was alerted fora structure fire on Nicodemus Road in New Windsor, Carroll County. One occupant, a 55-year-old male, was flown to Shock Trauma by Maryland State Police Aviation forsmoke inhalation. He was expected to make a full recovery.
